After hanging up, Theo closed the laptop and went to bed. The next day he was going to attend school for the first time. The papers that Xiao Ming had given him were on the desk, in them was all the information Theo needed to know.
Theo had taken a look at it before, but it didn't hurt to recheck it. The mission was a mission no matter how much Theo disliked it, he had to accomplish it successfully. He hadn't failed any mission in the past two years working as an assassin, and he wanted to keep up that pace.
Sky City First School... there was nothing too prominent in the data that Xiao Ming had given him. Just a little information from the people who used to surround Xiao Yanyan, as well as her classmates.
Miss Xiao's class was an elite class that could only be accessed through excellent test scores. But Theo soon realized one thing, that was just the theory.
From what Theo had read, more than one student had entered that class thanks to their connections. For example, Wu Taiwen had entered class one because his father had some influence in the underworld, and his uncle was a shareholder in the school.
Theo didn't leave a detail of Wu Taiwen's record. He was the leading persecutor of Xiao Yanyan, so Theo had to be careful with him. As Theo had appreciated on this first day, the boy with the surname Wu was not to the liking of the young miss.
"I wonder if I have to get rid of him? Tomorrow I'll ask the young miss." Theo muttered as he closed the folder.
Theo then went back to bed, where he sat in the lotus position and removed his gloves. Theo's blue pupils changed color to a deep black. A strange mist covered his bare hands.
"Come out." Theo's icy voice froze the room.
The fog in Theo's hands shook. It seemed that something was hiding in that fog and that something was afraid to come out. Seeing that it was resisting, Theo frowned.
"I'm going to say it one more time, come out." Theo's voice, already cold, cooled even more.
What was inside the steam continued to shake, but it didn't take long for it to show. The mist dissipated and showed a face, a face Theo had seen before.
"My lord, please, my lord, don't kill me, don't kill me." This person's voice, like the fog before it, was shaking.
Theo's face was indifferent as he looked at this person's face. This person was quite foolish. He was already dead, why did he keep begging for his life?
"You didn't have time to beg while you were alive, so you are begging in your death. I now understand." Theo said weakly, he seemed to recognize the victim.
This man was Ah Fu, Frank's bodyguard, the one who had died instantly the day before. He thought he could kill Theo with a gun, but Theo had finished him before he could unlock the weapon.
Listening to Theo's words, the bodyguard was furious. His mind was not very clear before, and the last memory he had was of Theo grabbing his neck, so he still thought he was alive. He quickly looked around and realized that he was in an unknown room.
What made him realize that he was already dead was not Theo's words, but looking down, he could not see his body at all. What Theo told him only served to enrage him; not only had he killed him, but now he was mocking him.
As for why he had not shown up after being called by Theo the first time, it was his subconscious acting. He was so afraid of Theo that his subconscious avoided all possible contact.
Knowing that he was already dead made all of Ah Fu's fear disappear. This fear was replaced by infinite hatred. He thought of some of the stories he had read online about people dying and turning into evil spirits to pursue their killer. Ah Fu was sure he was one of those.
"Haha, I'm sure you didn't think this, crow. Now I've become a spirit I'll be chasing you to death, hahaha..." Ah Fu laughed maniacally. He hated Theo until the dead, so chasing him until he died wasn't so bad. Too bad he couldn't kill him directly.
"What are you talking about?" Theo asked him. What spirit or what shit? The only thing left of this man was his soul, and only because of Theo's unique condition.
Ah Fu was stunned. He expected to see Theo tremble and ask for forgiveness, but the boy was still the same as before. His face cold and expressionless; he wasn't afraid at all!
"Aren't you still begging for your life? I'm telling you now if you don't beg me on your knees, I won't leave you alone, ever!" Ah Fu shouted.
Theo sighed. This man hadn't changed since his death. Did he have a fetish to see people begging and kneeling? That possibility existed, there were very strange people in the world.
"I'm going to make it clear to you, you are no evil spirit," Theo said.
"Eh?" Ah Fu was stunned. If he wasn't an evil spirit, what could he be?
"This is your soul, which I have taken out of your body. You are not some kind of vengeful spirit." Theo explained. "I think you've read too many novels."
If it were not for the soul's translucent face, Ah Fu was sure he would have blushed. Theo had guessed right; he had read too many novels.
But, if he wasn't a vengeful spirit, what was he doing here? Ah Fu then remembered what Theo had said, he had taken the soul out of his body. Ah Fu was a fool, but even he knew that Theo had done it because his soul was useful to him. Fear assaulted him again, but this time it was not fear of Theo, but of the unknown.
"What are you going to do with my soul?" he asked carefully.
"Obvious, to consume it," Theo replied.
Ah Fu's translucent face shook, his subconscious acted again, and the fog formed back. But a strange force was blocking him.
"Not so fast, I still haven't explained to you what will happen when I consume your soul."
"Demon! You're a demon!" Ah Fu shouted, he had hit bottom. His situation was desperate, and he knew he could no longer escape.
Theo did not find Ah Fu's words insulting. Life was like that, there was always a winner and a loser. The winner was always bad in the eyes of the loser, while the latter was the bad in the eyes of the winner. In the end, everyone fights for their own benefit, regardless of the methods. Those who were unwilling to use dark methods because it was immoral were doomed to die by the wayside.
"Demon! You'll burn in hell!" Ah Fu kept shouting.
"I don't doubt it, but once I got there, I will become the hell sovereign. Hell, heaven, earth, no one can prevent my ascent." A trace of a smile appeared on Theo's face.
Seeing that Ah Fu was still screaming, Theo was beginning to tire. "Shut up."
"Sorbere Anima"
A sucking force dragged Ah Fu's soul into Theo's mouth. When he finished, Theo burped.
"Shit, I forgot to tell him he's not going through the reincarnation cycle. But I don't think it's that important." Theo shrugged and went to sleep.
