Sometimes, what's more important is not who you're siding with

Family defines you even if it does demand sacrifice.

My entire life I have longed for what you have.

It is better to atleast glimpse it facing death that run

forever and know nothing of family.

The thing is, this is kind of the whole reason you have friends,

so you don't have to do the terrible parts alone.

I believe that when you love someone

and the person loves you in return

you're uniquely vulnerable.

They have a power to hurt you like nothing else.

Do you have any idea how rare love is?

In a thousand years, I have found it but twice.

When I have, I have honored it.

Katherine felt excited as she was running very fast leaving Drake behind. At first she was really surprised that she was fast but she knew she's a vampire, getting another power is not new to her anymore. She smiled triumphantly seeing Amdis and Kieran were already standing just few meters away from her. As she was nearing the place where they were standing, she felt a strong wind overtook her and her eyes went wide when all of a sudden, Drake was already standing beside Kieran and Amdis.

"How did you...I left you...Oh, what have you done?" Katherine said looking at Drake curiously. Kieran and Amdis are giggling on Katherine's different emotions on her beautiful face. "Come here." Drake ordered and Katherine knew what's going to happen. She puffs air of disappointment. Katherine dodge when Drake raised his hand. "Don't move." Drake said then, he gave her a twist on her ear. "Ouch!" Katherine said while rubbing her red ear.

"You stay here." Drake said making Kieran and Amdis nodded. "After you again, My Princess." Drake said making Katherine rolled her eyes then disappeared again quickly.

"Any suspicious events here?" Drake asked. "As of now, there's none." Kieran answered. "Just continue checking and infrom me immediately if something is amiss." Drake said. "Is she doing fine?" Amdis asked. "Yeah, she doing great. I had to transform because I can't catch up with her." Drake said. "That's cheating." Amdis said making Drake smiled.

Again, Katherine thought she was in her full speed but seeing Drake standing beside Blade and Thana made her irritated. "How can you overtook me without me noticing you?" Katherine asked but Drake only shrugged his shoulders. Drake signalled her to come close. Katherine rubbed her nose that was flicked by Drake's fingers. She vanished into thin air not waiting for Drake's go signal.

"You cheated." Thana said. "Yeah, I used the shortcut." Drake said grinning. "So, that means she can win against you without her vampire ability?" Blade asked. "Yeah, and she will be faster no, the fastest vampire I knew." Drake said making Blade and Thana showed an "O" on their faces.

"I've had enough. He will never surpass me again." Katherine said to herself not realizing her eyes turned into gold. Because she was really concentrating on her agenda, she didn't notice a wolf coming into her way. It will be too late to avoid the poor animal but she did her best not to hit it. Everything went into a slow motion. She jumped over the wolf and somersaulted but because she was in full speed, she didn't land on her feet but on her body causing bruises and wounds on her arms and legs. "These sucks!" Katherine groaned in pain. She thought that the wolf ran away because of fear but she was surprised seeing the animal walked towards her and licked her wounds. She smiled and then touched the wolf's head. The wolf licked her face making her giggled. "Where are you?" Katherine tried to sit hearing Drake's mind link. "Got an accident." She said using the mind link. After few seconds, all her friends are infront of her making the wolf growled.

"Easy there buddy, they are my friends." Katherine said calming the wolf. As if the animal understood her, it sat beside her.

"It's so cute." Amber said walking towards the wolf. It flinched but later enjoyed Amber's touches. Drake signalled Athan to check the wolf. "He's safe." Athan said. "How did you knew that his a male?" Dawn asked curiously. When Athan pointed something on the wolf's tummy, Dawn already understood.

"Let me take a look." Drake said checking on Katherine's wounds and bruises. At first, the wolf growled again but when Drake said "Behave!", it slowly sat and just looked at Drake. Everyone was in awe when Drake tamed the wild wolf.

"I think we'll continue this tomorrow. You should rest." Drake said. "I'm fine. Look, they are already healing." Katherine said showing her arms and legs starting to go on their original form, soft and flawless. "No, that's enough for today. I already saw your speed and I can say your really fast." Drake said. "But, I didn't surpass you." Katherine said. "Chea...cough...ter...cough." Athan said in between his coughs. The rest laughed but not Katherine. "Are you saying something, Athan?" Katherine asked. "Nothing, my throat really hurts." Athan said making Drake looked at him with squinted eyes. "Enough with that. Let's go home." Drake said and pulled Katherine. "I will surely beat you tomorrow." Katherine said. "Yeah, yeah." Drake said.

They all looked back when the wolf barked. "Come here, buddy, let's go home." Katherine said and the wolf wagged his tail. "No, he can't go with us." Drake said making the wolf squirm. "Come on, buddy, don't listen to him." Katherine said making the wolf walked towards her. Drake looked at the wolf with narrowed eyes but it only overtook him with it's head raised. Their friends giggled on the wolf's attitude towards Drake. "He will be your greatest rival." Alaric said winking at Drake making the latter raised his arm that will give a punch on Alaric but failed because he already ran towards the wolf giving it a pat on it's head.

"What is that?" Serafino asked looking on the wolf beside Katherine. "A wolf, Paps." Katherine answered making Serafino rolled her eyes. "I know it's a wolf, Katherine." Serafino said with a serious tone making the rest smiled. "I will keep him." Katherine said. "What if someone owned him?" Serafino asked. "I don't think so. He's dirty and might wandering around the place in days." Katherine said. "What if he's dangerous?" Serafino asked making Drake nodded in agreement. "He's safe." Drake wanted to kick Athan after hearing what he said. "Thanks, Athan." Katherine said smiling to Athan. "Anytime, Prin...Kath." Athan said not continuing his word because Katherine looked at him with an angry squint. "Okay, you can keep him but, if he misbehave, I will be the one to throw him outside." Serafino warned his granddaughter.

"He will, right, buddy?" Katherine asked and everyone smiled when the wolf barked in response except for Drake.
