Chapter 1110 - Showcase Continues

Though Palermo introduced herself, Julian still has no idea who this old woman is and looked at her with a confused look.

Julian "Sorry but I still don't know who you are, I don't know much about you"

He said still lost about the identity of this old woman who is called Palermo.

Palermo raised her brows and looked at the young man in front of her in shock, though she doesn't want to sound arrogant, no one in Kalos doesn't know about her and now she is suddenly in front of a young man who knows nothing about her and is still attending the showcase.

Palermo "You really don't know who I am?"

She asked to which Julian just shook his head.

Palermo "So who are you?"

She asked. She didn't want to judge this young man yet, him being up here means he is someone very rich and influential as not anyone can get a seat so high up in the VIP area.

Julian "I am Julian, nice to meet you"

Julian said and removed his mask and extended his hand at Palermo, Palermo's eyes went wide as she saw the person sitting in front of her, she couldn't believe THE Julian was in front of her.

Seeing the shock on her face pleased Julian, he knew she looked at herself as someone important but now she is embarrassed because Julian is even a bigger figure.

Palermo "I didn't expect to run into the great Julian himself"

She said after calming down.

Julian just smiled at her.

Palermo "So what brings you here?"

She asked.

Julian "I am a traveler, I like to travel around and see things I am not familiar with and this Showcase caught my attention"

He said.

Palermo "But still, someone who has two girlfriends working here in Kalos doesn't know about the current entertainment industry space is fascinating"

She said.

Julian "Well what can I say, I don't have any interest in the entertainment industry"

He said.

Palermo "Too bad, with your fortune and fame you could easily make billions in profit in the entertainment industry"

Julian "I had thought about it but acting or performing is not my forte, I would rather stick to pokemon training"

He said and put his attention back on the stage where the three girls continued with their performance, Palermo also kept a close eye on Serena who seems to have caught her eye, Julian also carefully watched how the three girls cooked.

Though the process looked very fancy, the steps were basic and to the book, none of the girls tried to take a risk and make things challenging.

Palermo was also watching it but she didn't express any of her opinions, she then looked at Julian and decided to ask his opinion.

Palermo "What do you think about their performance?"

She asked.

Julian "Well I am no judge so I don't know on what criteria they judge but from my point of view, their cooking is very safe and they didn't take any risk"

He said.

Hearing his answer Palermo nodded her head, she thought the same as Julian and was genuinely surprised by it, she didn't expect Julian to be so observant.

Palermo "You seem to know a lot about poke puffs"

She said.

Julian "Not just poke puffs, I generally know about cooking that is all. Since I travel a lot I have done a lot of cooking"

He said.

Palermo "I see"

She said and went back to watching the event, soon the three performers finished their cooking, and their puffs were presented to the judges, he didn't know what the judges are looking for. If it is just dependent on the taste of the puffs, it can be quite difficult to judge as taste can be subjective.

Julian noticed that it is not only the judges but their pokemons also have a taste and the result seem to be dependent on their reaction as well.

Soon the result was out and Serena won the round and moved forward to the next round.

Julian continued to watch and he noticed one more familiar face, though this was one in disguise she couldn't escape Julian's eyes, it was none other than Jessie, the idiot from the team rocket trio.

To his surprise, she did well as well and moved to the next round, he noticed that the pokemons of the judges really enjoyed her cooking deciding the result, he realized that she must have somehow figured out what those pokemons like so she made her puffs with ingredients those pokemons prefer.

Julian didn't think of this as cheating, it's just that she is too well informed about it, Julian knows that the three idiots are very smart but they are too loyal to their boss, Giovani and Julian don't want to be involved with their stupidity, at first he thought of turning them into his own people but soon gave up as he observed their actions.

The event continued and the rest round finally came to an end, more than half of a dozen performers advanced to the freestyle round.

Freestyle round is different from the theme round as this round seems to be more based on pokemons and now they utilize their moves to create beautiful visual displays and Julian is eager to see how these young upcoming performers perform.
