A steel-type pokemon definitely has an advantage over a fairy-type pokemon like Florges but these advantages won't matter to Julian.

Steelix is a very bulky Pokemon and has ridiculous defense but it is not known for its special defense and Florges being a special attacker can easily look over through its defense and take the giant down.

With both pokemons taking the center stage, the referee didn't waste a moment and started the battle.

Julian's opponent didn't want to wait at all, he made the very first move and called out for a Heavy Slam, Heavy Slam is a steel type move that deals more damage if the user is heavy, the heavier the user, the stronger the attack.

The Steelix moved its whole body at astonishing speed and brought its massive tail crashing down on Florges.

Though the attack has a lot of power behind it, it is slow a sluggish, if Florges gets hit by it, it will definitely be a devastating hit that might even end the battle in one move if it is critical, but it is also easy to counter as well.

Julian "Use Protect"

Julian ordered.

Florges raised her arms and created a forcefield dome above her, the massive Steelix tail which is more than half its body length crashed hard on the forcefield, the sound created was that of thunder resonating in the sky.

The crowd felt their bodies vibrate as they felt the impact of the collision. as soon as the impact took place, the dome made of Florges's energy vibrated but it didn't go down nor did any cracks appear.

This is due to Florges's amazing control over her own energy, the energy she releases is denser and stronger compared to pokemons of the same level.

Since the forcefield didn't observe the brunt of the attack, there was only one way for it to go and that is where it came from.

Steelix's massive tail went straight up causing the big steel snake to lose balance and its head came crashing down on the ground.

Julian "Now finish it, Solar Beam"

Julian ordered. now that the massive Steelix is down, it will take some time for it to rearrange itself and that's enough time for Florges to charge up her Solar Beam.

Florges's angelic voice roared as she rose her hands once again and charged up the Solar Beam, the flowers around her neck started to glow brighter as she collected more solar energy.

Steelix tried to lift its massive body and as it was halfway up, Florges finished charging up, she aimed and locked onto Steelix's massive frame and shot the Solar Beam at it.

Steelix saw the incoming attack and turned its head away to protect its eyes but it was of no use. As soon as the Solar Beam made contact, Steelix's body was pushed back into the ground, the Solar Beam continued to press down and Steelix got forced deeper and deeper into the battlefield, cracks started to spread all across the battlefield like spider webs.

Florges finally stopped with her Solar Beam and the destruction that she left behind was visible to everyone, everyone saw the massive Steelix has been forced into the ground and was knocked out cold.

That Solar Beam was someone else and every trainer wanted their pokemons to get their Solar Beam to such level.

Julian's opponent was not shocked by the outcome at all, he was waiting when Julian will make his move and his pokemon will go down, he thought himself to be very lucky to be one of the top 64, he didn't care about anything else.
