Realizing that the Flash Cannon was completely useless, there was no way he is going to damage Aegislash if he is in his shield form, the only way Alain has a chance to even land a hit is to make his Metagross vulnerable.

Knowing this Alain decided to take the risk.

Alain "Use Bullet Punch"

Alain called for a physical attack that will lower his Metagross's guard which should make Aegislash change form to attack it but if Aegislash doesn't change form this might put Metagross at risk of losing its attack powers after coming in contact with King Shield.

And to Alain's worst nightmare Julian didn't order Aegislash to switch forms, he stuck with the shield form and told Aegislash to use King Shield again, because of this Bullet Punch made contact and Metagross's attack state took a pummeling.

With its physical attack stat down, its only choice is to use its special attacks but Julian has other plans for Metagross.

He saw through what Alain was trying to do and he didn't take the bait and now that Metagross is completely exposed, he will take this opportunity to end this battle.

Julian "Sword form, Night Slash"

Aegislash quickly switched form and aimed his blade at Metagross as a pinkish-purple aura radiated from his blade, once he was charged up he slashed at Metagross leaving behind a thin line of bright pinkish-purple light which then suddenly exploded in Metagross's face sending the giant crashing on the ground.

Metagross's mega evolution faded away revealing his true form, the referee then rushed towards Metagross to check on it and found that the giant has been put to sleep.

Referee "Metagross is unable to battle, Aegislash wins, the winner of this battle and the trainer advancing to the finals is Julian"

With the referee's call Julian was declared the winner, compared to the previous battle that Julian had this one seemed a lot easier but it was not, people just thought that Alain was weak compared to Remo but that is not the case as well.

Alain lost so easily is because Aegislash was used in this battle.

People just misunderstood this situation because of how Julian presented himself today, Julian had no reason to use Aegislash in this battle at all, he could use other pokemons and easily win as well but he didn't he wanted to show off this time, not to the crowd but to Julio.

He wanted that bastard to see what he will be going up against and suffer from the mental pressure that is about to fall upon him.

And as Julian has planned, Julio is having a mental breakdown right now.

Inside the waiting room, Julio is looking at the screen with his eyes bulged out as he is gripping his hair in anger and frustration, he saw what Julian just did and he is smart enough to know that he is no match for Julian's Aegislash.

Julio "How can this be, there is no way he should be this strong, no, no, I don't believe it, I was created to be better than him in every possible way so why is he so strong, this doesn't make sense, I need to win, I need to win, I need to win, I need to win, I need to win"

Julio then started to go back and forth as he continued to have his mental breakdown, he was not in the right might right now, he knows he cannot win but he has to come up with a way to deal with Julian.

He wants this more than anything, to take his position, to take his fiancees, to take his reputation, to take his fans, to take his empire, he believed that it all rightfully belonged to him and Julian is just an imposter.

He needed this all more than anything and to get it all, he is winning to do anything.

Back on the battlefield, Alain sighed at his loss, he sent Metagross back to its Pokeball and bid his farewell, Julian also waved at his fans before making his way back to the waiting room.

Alain walked into the waiting room and saw Julio moving his head back and forth while mumbling something and gripping his head tightly, he frowned as he stared at Julio.

Alain always thought that this person was weird and he was also very anti-social, he did try to talk to him before but he was completely ignored, he didn't understand what is up with this guy so he also ignored Julio.

Seeing how he is behaving right now, Alain decided to not get involved at all and decided to leave, he didn't like how he felt around Julio, the guy gave him the creeps.

Making his way out of the waiting room he sighed as this was the end of his journey in the Kalos league.

Alain "Well, this didn't work out but now I have more time to finish my work for Dr. Lysander"

Alain said and walked away.

Julian returned to the other waiting room and saw that Ash was getting ready, he is about to battle Julian, there is nothing much Julian could teach Ash right now, it all depended on Ash and how he will handle things.

Julian "Ash, just make sure to not overthink anything and trust your guts"

Julian advised and decided to leave as well after collecting his stuff.

Ash "Thank you, I will make sure to give it my all"

Julian "Good luck then"

Ash "Thank you, meet you in the finals, again!"

Ash declared with a smile on his face and Julian smiled back, he didn't know if Ash is going to win but if he did Julian will be happy for Ash.
