Chapter 1188 - Semi-Finals (9)

Since Pikachu is up in the air due to his jump he has nowhere to go, he cannot change directions, the only direction he is going is to the ground and what is waiting for him is a devastating move.

Snorlax's feet hit the ground and the whole battlefield shook, suddenly destructive energy traveled all across the battlefield shaking it aggressively, the battlefield started to split all over the place and dark yellowish energy shot out of it.

While the ground split and shook Pikachu's legs hit the ground and he was assaulted by the energy from the ground, his whole body was sent into chaos and he lost his balance and fell on the ground, and because of the onslaught of the energy coming from the ground it rolled and moved Pikachu all over the battlefield severely damaging him.

When the Earthquake stopped Pikachu could be seen lying flat on the ground while gritting his teeth, it was clear that he is very hurt from that attack, and being an electric type pokemon the ground type move Earthquake.

Everybody present in the stadium thought that this was over but they were all wrong, Pikachu who didn't seem to have any movement suddenly moved and got back to his feet and shook his head a few times to stabilize himself.

Pikachu shook off the damage and looked more determined than ever, Ash also took a sigh of relief as he saw Pikachu still has a lot to give.

Ash "Use Quick Attack followed by Iron Tail"

Pikachu with a sudden burst of speed rushed towards Snorlax as white light surrounded him making him look like a comet on the ground.

Julio "Use Hammer Arm"

Snorlax locked its sight on Pikachu and raised its right arm up in the air and charged up a powerful Hammer Arm, it is waiting for the right moment to strike, and when it felt that Pikachu was near enough it brought its massive hand down towards the ground.

As it looked at the Hammer Arm was about to make contact with the incoming Pikachu, Pikachu swiftly sidestepped avoiding the Hammer Arm which hit the ground, Pikachu then rush right between Snorlax's legs and appeared behind it and then jumped upward to hit Snorlax's blind side which is its back.

Pikachu rammed his head as hard as he could onto Snorlax's back and sent the giant a few steps forward as the giant struggled to keep its balance but the assault was not over, as soon as Pikachu landed on the ground again, he used Iron Tail and swung it behind Snorlax's knee which finally sends the giant crashing on the ground.

People cheered loudly as they saw Snorlax go down, by now every person in the audience is cheering for Ash and Pikachu.

Ash "Let's finish this, Use Volt Tackle"

Now that Snorlax is down, Ash wants to end this and go on to the finals and battle Julian, Pikachu slammed his front two legs on the ground sending ripples throughout the whole battlefield.

A supercharged Pikachu covered in lightning took his first step crushing the ground between his tiny feet and bolted towards the fallen Snorlax.

Aiming straight at its head Pikachu went all out, Pikachu crashed as hard as he could on the crown of Snorlax which caused a powerful explosion followed by a thunderous sound alongside a powerful shockwave that swept across the whole battlefield sending rubbles flying everywhere.

Even the smoke created by the explosion was wiped off by the impact revealing the outcome of the clash.

Pikachu hit Snorlax so hard that the massive body was actually sent dragging across the battlefield which left a long and deep groove right in the middle caused by the impact.

Everyone thought that it was over, the referee approached the Snorlax to check on it but before he could even call the outcome the Snorlax suddenly moved and got back to its feet again as if nothing happened at all.

Everyone present sucked their breath in as they saw this, Ash couldn't believe this and neither could Pikachu.

Julian who had his eyes on Snorlax the whole battle finally understood what was happening, the attacks from Pikachu are having their effects, the Snorlax's whole body should be aching and should be numb, it should not be able to get up at all but it did.

Julian realized that no matter how much hurt Snorlax is in it won't matter to it because that Snorlax doesn't have its own consciousness, it has no control over itself, the only thing fueling it is the will to battle and rage.

Each and every attack that it lashes out has the intent to hurt its opponent, any damage it takes is completely ignored and it continues to battle, this is of course not good for the pokemon, pain is an important function to every living as it indicates any problem that is present in the body, without pain one cannot identify the problem and deal with it.

Because of this the risk of this Snorlax dying earlier than it should is very likely, Julian frowned as this was very unethical and inhumane, this was a disgusting act and Julian wanted to find out who did this to the poor Snorlax.

Julio "Use Earthquake"

Using this moment of shock that everyone was experiencing Julio called for an Earthquake.

This caught Pikachu was surprised as he was hit by another Earthquake as soon as Snorlax's feet slammed into the ground, this sent Pikachu rolling and bouncing all over the battlefield while he got assaulted by the energy radiating from the ground.

Julio "Heavy Slam"

As soon as the Earthquake came to a stop, Snorlax jumped high up in the air and came crashing towards Pikachu who is still recovering from the Earthquake.

Ash "PIKACHU!!!"

Ash tried to warn him but it was too late, Snorlax buried Pikachu with its massive body.

When Snorlax got back to its feet everyone could see the deep crater and right in the middle of this crater is Pikachu buried deep completely out cold.

Referee "Pikachu is unable to battle, Snorlax wins, the trainer advancing to the finals is trainer Julio.
