With the last exchange Dwebble came out on top by increasing its defense and also landing a good hit on Karrablast, unlike Dwebble Karrablast doesn't have a good defense which can be a problem if he continues to takes hits like that.
Julian "Karrablast, use Sword Dance"
Since Dwebble can increase its defense so can Karrablast increase his speed, Karrablast activated Sword Dance and increased his attack stat by a lot.
Burgh "Dwebble, use Feint Attack once again"
Using Feint Attack is indeed a very good call, it is a powerful move and it can never be dodged, if the opponent is not ready to counter it, they will get hurt badly by it.
Julian "Fury Cutter"
Karrablast counters with Fury Cutter once again and this time it is much more destructive than before, with it being the third Fury Cutter, it is already three times stronger than the first one and with the added effect from that Sword Dance has made this attack even stronger.
Burgh still doesn't understand the full power behind this attack so he is not ready for the outcome.
As both pokemon clash, Karrablast easily destroyed the Feint Attack and tore through Dwebble defense and landed the Fury Cutter, once it landed, Dwebble is sent rolling on the ground with dust and smoke trailing behind it.
Everyone gasped seeing the result behind that exchange, all the exchanges between Dwebble and Karrablast had led to Dwebble winning, this made many people think that Julian's Karrablast is a lot weaker than his Boldore, some were even frustrated at Julian for switching his pokemon during the battle.
They thought that Boldore could have ended the battle easily, but now all their doubts went away, Karrablast never showed his full power, Julian wanted to see what this Dwebble is really made of and he is surprised by how good of a pokemon it really is but this will have to end now.
Julian "Another Sword Dance" Karrablast increased his attack stat again and this time it is over the roof, no pokemon in their first stage evolution can take a hit from Karrablast now, even second stage pokemon might get knocked out from Karrablast's attack.
Burgh "Dwebble, use Iron Defense and Rock Polish"
Burgh decided to increase Dwebble's defense and speed to counter Karrablast's ridiculous attack power, he has seen what Karrablast can do with just one attack and he is not able to cancel the Fury Cutter yet which is growing troublesome, maybe increasing Dwebble's speed can allow it to dodge the Fury Cutter and cancel all that built up power.
Julian "Fury Cutter, let's end this"
Karrablast charged up his Fury Cutter and ran towards Dwebble, trying to land a very powerful hit to finish this battle.
Burgh "Dodge it"
As Karrablast was about to land the Fury Cutter, the Dwebble moved to the side with the help of its increased speed and successfully dodged the Fury Cutter, this, of course, caused all the built-up energy inside the Fury Cutter to disappear as well and the attack power returned to normal but Julian was not surprised by this.
Julian "Now, Feint Attack"
Karrablast suddenly pulled off his own Feint Attack out of nowhere which caught everyone by surprise, they didn't expect Julian to be hiding Feint Attack in his arsenal as well, the Feint Attack landed and it sent Dwebble flying backward and crashing into the wall at extreme speed.
As it crashed into the wall, the wall got covered in cracks and Dwebble was stuck right in the middle of the crack, knocked out.
This was the mistake Julian forced Burgh to make, he expected Burgh would be trying to dodge the dangerous Fury Cutter to cancel its power that he totally forgot that Karrablast can use other moves as well, once the smokescreen called Fury Cutter was used Burgh did as Julian expected and called for a dodge.
Julian took advantage of this and landed a Feint Attack which cannot be countered at such short distance, the move landed and the second round was over just like that.
Referee "Dwebble is unable to battle, Karrablast wins"
Once the result was out everyone burst into cheer seeing how Julian won this round as well, some of them were a little embarrassed for doubting Karrablast's power but it was not their fault, Karrablast didn't show his true powers during the beginning of the battle.
Burgh didn't see that coming at all, Julian hid the Feint Attack very well.
He smiled and sent Dwebble back to its Pokeball and sent out his final pokemon against Julian, a Leavanny, a fully evolved pokemon.
It is very rare to see a fully evolved pokemon in a gym that most trainers challenge very early in their journey but bug type pokemons are known to evolve a lot faster than any other pokemons.
For example, pokemons like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, etc are known to evolve very fast and reach their final for within weeks of training, but when it comes to Leavanny, it is a little different, its second stage evolution is at an average rate but its final evolution is a little tricky, the pokemon needs to fully trust its partner and have sense security with their trainer for them to evolve.
Seeing that Burgh has a Leavanny, he has proven that he takes care of his pokemons and from the looks of it this Leavanny looks very strong as well, being a fully evolved pokemon has its advantages over pokemons who have fully not evolved, they have a better understanding of their powers and how to use it compared to pokemons who have not fully evolved.
Julian knows this and that is why he was focused on evolving his Boldore or he could have just used Darumaka, trained it till it could match his opponent's level, and floor them easily but sometimes things are not always that easy.
