Chapter 934: Ash Vs Yesh 2 (5)

Pikachu ran into the battlefield and took his stance as he stared at the Excadrill standing in front of him, he is determined to take down Yesh's pokemon and win this battle.

Yesh "Crush Claw"

Yesh didn't wait around and went for the attack, Excadrill opened his claws as they glowed white, they grew in size and they descended down on Pikachu.

Ash "Dodge and then use Quick Attack"

As the Crush Claw was about to land, Pikachu moved to the side which created an after image, as the Crush Claw landed on the after image, Pikachu used Quick Attack and crashed right into Excadrill's abdomen and sent him sliding through the battlefield.

Yesh was surprised to see this, the speed and power that Pikachu displayed were not normal by even Yesh's standards.

His Excadrill continued sliding through the battlefield but he soon got back to his feet and held onto its abdomen, that Quick Attack did more damage than he expected, even though he is resistant to normal type attacks.

Yesh "Drill Run"

Yesh decided to stick to his ways, even though the power behind Pikachu's attacks is high, he is still not as physically strong as his Excadrill and can deal a lot more damage to Pikachu.

Excadrill slammed his claws together and channeled a lot of earth energy inside his body and surrounded his whole body with it before starting to spin at very high speed and charge at Pikachu.

Ash "Counter with Iron Tail"

Pikachu ran towards the incoming Excadrill and swung his tail as fast as he could while using Iron Tail, his tail turned into steel and reflected the light from the sun as it was swung at the incoming Drill Run.

As the two attacks clashed, it created a massive shockwave and a thunderous sound that could deafen anyone at close range.

The earth energy around Excadrill suddenly shattered after contact and Excadrill was sent flying through the air and then crashed on the ground hard, he tried to get back to his feet, struggling as hard as it can to do so.

Ash "Iron Tail again"

Pikachu used his speed and closed the distance between him and Excadrill in an instant and is able to land another powerful Iron Tail right on Excadrill's abdomen once again, Excadrill once again took air and crashed on the ground hard.

But this time he didn't get back to his feet as he got knocked out.

The crowd went wild as the powerful Excadrill finally went down and Ash's name echoed across the stadium.

Referee "Excadrill is unable to battle, Pikachu wins"

The referee made the call and waited for Yesh to send out his next pokemon, Yesh looked at Ash's Pikachu for a second before selecting another pokemon, he realized that Ash's Pikachu is too fast for any of his pokemon and he needs to find another way to deal with it.

Yesh called Excadrill back to his Pokeball and sent out his next pokemon which could be the bane of Ash's Pikachu, Steelix.

Yesh sent out a massive Steelix on the battlefield, as the Pokeball opened a massive Steelix landed on the battlefield and created a tremor to travel through the battlefield, the massive Steelix seems to be 10 meters long so it looked like a titan in front of the small electric rodent.

The Steelix looked at Pikachu and grinned, a electric-type physical attacker like Pikachu has very little to no chance against a defensive pokemon like Steelix. First, it's massive and can easily deal a lot of damage to Pikachu by just swinging its tail around. Second, it is a ground type so it is immune to all of Pikachu's electric type attacks. Third, it is known for its ridiculous defense, most of Pikachu's big attacks are his electric type attacks but they are useless against a ground type like Steelix, so he will have to rely on his other move sets which are mostly physical and with the bulky defense Steelix has, it will be hard for Pikachu to overcome it.

The only strong physical attack that Pikachu has is his Iron Tail. Now the only question is that if Ash and Pikachu can pull off a win against a pokemon like Steelix using only physical moves like Iron Tail? which is also resisted by Steelix.

Julian saw Yesh's pick and laughed.

Julian 'He really knows how to put pressure on the opponent'

He thought and looked at Ash.

Julian 'The best option right now is to switch pokemon, but from seeing his expression, I think he won't do that, let's see if Pikachu can pull this off.'

Julian thought as he looked at the current situation with a smile.

Things are just getting interesting, Julian wondered who would really win because he knows, Ash has some pokemons still hidden, maybe the ones from his previous regions, any one of them could make an appearance, like his Infernape, Kingler, Snorlax, Heracross, Staraptor, or Gliscor and more, any one of them could make an appearance and completely change the results of the battle.

Just like Julian predicted, Ash didn't switch and continued with Pikachu and started the battle.

Ash "Quick Attack!"
