"Vampires are not creatures of science Kael Oppa. But they're not just creatures of magic either."

"You don't say."

"Indeed. Vampires are very powerful supernatural creatures, and most if not all of our skills are of a supernatural genre. Though we're also a little scientifically oriented, we tend to lean more on the supernatural side. For example, the reason silver affect us, is like the same way a pile of stacking foam would melt to gum when petroleum is introduced to it. As a vampire our bodies composition reacts to anything that can store light, or is a variation of it. We're weak to hundreds of chemicals and light based compounds, but silver takes precedent because of one very stupid reason...….its the color of the moon."

Today was apparently the first day of my training on how to be a real vampire. Baeki was rather eccentric to say the least, she had me strip down to my underwear, and placed me in a pool of boiling hot water. The worst part of the matter is that the pool seems to be a part of some underground spring, making it a source of flowing water. I was getting a first hand experience of what it's like for a vampire to be near running water, and it was not good. It made me dizzy and nauseous, and my limbs felt like jelly.

"I put you in running water because that's a Vampire's weakness, well one of them anyway. Water signifies life, and when it runs, it symbolizes life in motion, the circle of life as a whole. Vampires are not a part of that circle, which makes water a supernatural weakness. We're neither alive, nor dead, that makes us stagnant water, unmoving, unchanged, solid and immortal. Even the most respected of all beasts the dragons have a dawn, and they have a dusk. So does the Gods, though theirs is a lot longer than normal. But a vampire will outlive all of them, only growing more and more stronger as the world passes on.

I've put you in running water and I've explained why it's such a weakness to us, but let me tell you why silver weakens us, but the moon strengthens us. You remember the story of the Goddess of magic Saleil, how she made the moon to keep the creatures of the first night at bay, and to serve as a beacon for the children of light, so that they can battle their dark brothers. Most of it is total bullshit, the thing is the moon or I should say the triple moons of Shearath are naturally formed the way every other planetary satellite is formed. But the gods like to play, and Saleil is not just the elven goddess of magic, but also of mischief, lies and love. She was one of the first women to have fallen for the charms of the first vampire, and her love drove her mad. You're from earth so part of the story should corroborate with what is being told back home. Dracula loved a woman, in fact though many say that he's had numerous wives, That's not the case. Dracula has only loved one woman over countless of her lifetimes, a human with the ability to reincarnate after her death. A reincarnation that's brought upon by their love for each other, it literally transcended the power of life and death. So Saleil cursed the moon to make Dracula and the creatures of the night, weak to it's light. But love is a strange thing, it's weird, but without a doubt, it's the most powerful force in existence. Wars are fought for it, and Saleil's love for Dracula was a lot stronger than she ever imagined. The moon made vampire's stronger, too strong. There are abilities a vampire can only display on a moon lit night. While other creatures became weak, like the shifters loosing control, shades and ghosts loosing their essences, and trolls turning to stone. The moon grew to have power and dominion of it own, but under it's light, the powers of a vampire are multiplied by a hundred times over.

But the moon was meant to be a curse, instead it gave vampires what they needed to challenge the gods and reign supreme. Nature had to find a balance to Saleil's stupidity, she was caged on the moon by other gods, she's still waiting there for someone to come save her, I say good riddance. And then nature gave it's law, 'the silver of the moon, and every light of the sun shall they be the bane of a Vampire's immortality.' But Saleil is a goddess, and just like Dracula's love for his human woman has helped them overcome the boundaries of life and death, so too did her love. Saleil sends her essence into the world every generation, reincarnating and living as different people. But this people have the ability to call on the true power of the moon, capable of destroying the vampires, or saving them if she so chose.

Her reincarnations is Shearath's most closely guarded secret, and as a joke, a way to punish her mortal form for helping make vampires almost invisible under the moon, they sent her last incarnation to the pit."

"Wait what? Are you saying that you're the reincarnation of a goddess?" I asked her through gritted teeth. Being boiled alive in running water was not a good feeling.

"Me? I wish. But let me ask you, how much do you know about your wife's past, why is it that even though you've been smuggling vampires since you were thirteen, the council of light did not act until the moment you stupidly married her out of puppy love. Though I guess it can no longer be considered puppy love. Hehehe"

This conversation was taking a very surprising turn, one that I did not envision or expect. With the pain I was feeling, my emotions were erratic, but I couldn't help but wonder what game this woman was playing.

"You're lying! She would have told me if that was the case! This is too big a secret for her to keep." I said, I couldn't believe this! This bloody Dracula was playing with my head, or being boiled alive was making me hear things.

"Yes! But it's also 'her' secret. And probably something she's not willing to admit. It's a painful part of her past, and I guess she's not willing to face it. She's suffered for it, and all for a power she doesn't remember having or a goddess she doesn't remember being. But hats up to you Oppa, you've married and banged the human incarnation of a goddess."

I got up to make my way out of the pool, but all of a sudden the temperature increased, and blisters began to appear over my skin. I looked up to see Baeki sitting at the edge of the pool with her feet in it. And from her ankles downwards, her pale skin was a startling shade of red, almost as if she was a super heated metal.

"Please don't move, we're not done with the training. I'll hate for you to go home to your half goddess wife on a silver platter, all cooked up and tasty. Now there's a reason why I'm telling you this, well multiple reasons really. One is that I want to see some conflict, you know? Like a lover's quarrel or something, I've been so bored here. Two if the council of light come here, while they may be coming for you, they're also predominantly going to be aiming for her, especially the children in her womb. In all of her incarnations, and trust me they're well documented, this is the first time she's been a mother, there are too many unseen variables. And Three, Earths is a bastard or bitch of planetary proportions, pun intended. Our home planet is scheming and throwing us into a variety of scenarios that just leaves a bad taste in our mouth. I don't doubt it's about to be destroyed and we need to battle against this cosmic darkness that's coming for it, but I don't think it cares about the people its chosen, only about the result. I don't want you to be blindsided, you need to be focused 'leader'. Because if you're going to lead me and five others, you have to know all of your advantages, and all of your dirty laundries, so that you don't get blindsided. When you get home, you can have a good nice long talk with your wife and get the answers you need. Which brings us to the next phase of our training."

I really didn't see it coming, I mean after everything I've heard, who In their right mind would envision the next scenario. Ming Bae Ki got up and grabbed a basket that was sitting precariously at the edge of the pool. Then she grabbed a handful of whatever was inside and threw it into the boiling pool of running water. At first there was nothing, and then everything burned, but it was not just the sudden heat, I felt as if my body was being torn apart by a million knives, my organs pulled from within my body and my heart squeezed Into paste. My veins showed up all over my body and they had a silver tint to it. The bitch! She just sprinkled me with silver dust! A lot of it.

ARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

"Your screams are music to my ears Oppa. If you survive the next six hours, then that means you're worthy of being trained by me! You hear me, this is a test. So please survive Kael Oppa, this Noona will be sad if you die."

Then she proceeded to skip out of the room where the pool was in, leaving me with my tortured thoughts, and equally tortured body.
