My clothes were smoldering, and the smell of ozone and burnt hair wafted into the air of my vicinity. This was unlike any backlash I've ever experienced: it was very powerful, and more than enough to have sent me to my grave. But here I was standing tall, completely unharmed.
At first I could not wrap my head around the fact that I just shrugged off nature's backlash like it was nothing more than a tickle, but a skeleton swinging its bone club straight for my head brought my attention back into focus.
I stepped back, then I kicked forward, smashing my foot through it's ribcage; as it's entire form shot backwards like a soccer ball. At this point I was right at the rear of the divided skeleton division, meaning we were cut off from the rest of the army. And we still haven't figured out a way go permanently kill this things, unless of course we focus on draining them of their soul flames.
But such a method would take too much time and leave us exposed, and I was not sure I had enough soul energy to cover a wide area, before any sort of permanent damage was done.
Either way I'm not sure I had a choice; because at the rate this battle was going, I'm not sure I had any other option but to pull out all the stops. And so I focused on that, with the bulk of the army cut off from us, we had enough time to strategize.
I released my soul energy, pulling everything out as much as I could and sent it spiraling into the numerous formations of skeletal soldiers. It covered a fifty foot radius, which was more than I could hope for. I could feel a sort of dewy wet feeling in the air, and I knew it was because my soul energy could now transform into a liquid state of matter, but I was still using it's gaseous form.
Anyway, using my manner, I began to draw out the soul flame of every skeleton within 50 feet of me. And as I pulled those flames out of their skulls, they all fell to the ground like a heap of bones, never to rise again.
I could have just as easily devoured those soul flames, just like the first ones. But I was receiving some sort of warning, a feeling that this soul flames were a lot more different than what we had taken In the tunnel that led us here.
Which makes the next and best option to be containment. There were flecks and multiple drops of blood over the battlefield, since there were a lot of skeletons, there's bound to have been more than enough fair share of injuries.
So yang my skill Sanguina's crystal, I fashioned another orb, reminiscent of the one I used in trapping Adein's soul in eternal torment. But this time I had to make multiple orbs, using as much of the blood on the battlefield I could find.
Then I pushed the soul flames into the orb, packing and stacking them as much as possible into the orbs. And then I sent my soul energy outwards, grabbing more soul flames and placing them into the blood crystal orbs.
A lot of vampires noticed what I was doing, and some even cut themselves to release enough blood for the formation of the crystals. In just under twenty minutes, we had cleared half of this battlefield, completely ignoring the other, much bigger part of the undead army.
Another thirty minutes, and there were heaps of crystals swirling with soul flames, and no undead around. By doing so, we had gained ground in the valley, and with the help of the shield, we could make more progress now.
I turned to look at shield, and was honestly chilled by the sight in front of me. The skeletons were dying in drives, their soul flames hanging in the air as they unhesitatingly walked into the shield of light I had made. It was a rather disturbing sight to say the least.
The light already had an intent to purify, and the shield also pushed back any physical form that's in contact with it for a very long time, however the undead don't feel pain, and the light was even more effective than I thought it was. They disintegrated the very moment they came in contact with the Shield, but even then, the deaths of their comrades did not dissuade them.
They kept on crashing and slamming at the shield in drives, dying......well more like re -dying in their frenzied attempts to tear us all to pieces. We couldn't continue like this, we had to fine another option, and I had just the idea about what to do about this situation.
BOOOOM!
A giant mechanical Dog or battle mech jumped right beside me, with Malek sitting right on top of it. There we're six more of them coming down from the tunnel and into the valley, closely followed by the rest of Ethernalia Leonis's army.Malek and Asare had arrived, and now, we can let loose the big guns.
[Lord Kael we've arrived! What are your orders.] I heard Asare ask through the power crest.
I signaled them closer, and called over Queen, Sousa and Bien. I had a plan, but it was going to take each and every single one of us to pull it off, especially with how outnumbered we still seemed to be.
"This fight can go on forever if we don't do something, the skeletons are killing themselves with the shield, but that's not a permanent situation as things like those bone dragons could just as easily fly over the shield and cause us no small amount of trouble. And I suspect that it's not just the skeletons alone that have the ability to regenerate, and honestly I rather we don't find out which of the undead can do so. Which leaves us with only one plan.
We have to kill the necromancers and the lich controlling this army of the dead. If we can do that, I believe we can negate their control and destroy the spell that animates the dead bodies. Of course there in lies the problem; the lich and his necromancers are on the other end of the valley, and between us and them is a massive army. We need to get to them, and end them."
Everyone understood what we had to do. Not everyone could go through this army in our aim to go kill the necromancers and the lich. It has to be a small team, while the others prepared huge distractions. It was a straightforward plan, and my Envoys were the best team for the job.

Fifteen minutes later, another massive spell circle appeared over the undead part of the battlefield. But it was not alone as there were multiple other spell circles appearing, and each of them of a different element than lightening. It was like a proverbial calm before a storm, and then suddenly, the spells fell like a rain of destruction from the pregnant clouds of an angry sky.
It was a hail of lightening, fire, ice and blood. The multiple divisions of the undead army was attacked with a prejudice that shook the earth. And due to how wide spread the attack was, the army looks it had been poked full of holes, having large pockets or areas that were completely devoid of undead. All that was left in that area was ash, burnt skin and smoldering bones.
The skeletons might have the ability to put their body back together, but if their skulls were destroyed and the soul flames taken out, such an option was no longer viable. And with almost 50% of the armydown and out foe the count, it created the opening the envoys and I needed to move out.
We shot out of the shield, each riding our won monster soul vehicle. Of course just driving across the battlefield was not enough, our enemies were still numerous, and they could easily overwhelm us. Which is why we were relying on two very small yet important factors.
1,the patches in the enemies formation would give us a little space to move around. Of course those patches were scattered all over, and to get from one to another you had to drive through hordes of undead. Which was where the second factor comes into play.
A very well known ability of any army personnel of Ethernalia Leonis, was our ability to teleport short distances. Well fifty to seventy meters in any direction is not exactly short, but it was more than enough for us at the moment. It would get us through this valley and up the other slope at the entrance where the lich was, with little to almost no fight at all.
Soren was in his bike form, and together with a hundred envoys and their own vehicles we moved thought the battlefield. Cutting a swath through our enemies, and causing enough confusion with our random teleportation that they couldn't put up any sort of fight or resistance.
Normally teleporting this much in such a short time, was bound to leave me with a splitting headache. But yet I was doing fine, in fact more than fine as I felt so full of energy, that I increased Soren's speed, leaving us nothing more than blur to the eyes of our enemies.
I crashed into a few enemies, swinging my sword and occasionally firing off my gun towards any undead unfortunate enough to be within my sight. In no time at all we had already made our way towards the final division, and as we approached the bone dragons, Thralls, death knights, and Dullahans prepared for arrival, letting our primal screams of battle and death. To bad they had another opponent to face.
ROOOOOOOAAAARRRRRRRR
Being this close to Asare's dragon form, especially when he was roaring like this was freaking insane. My ear drums fumbled and my heart shook in anticipation and fright. There was no way any normal person would stay this close to a dragon this big and not shit his or her pants out of fear.
His huge form above me, heat radiating from his deep red scales, Asare let out a roar of challenge. The undead fired theirs back, but based on the ugly and yet surprised look that wad etched on the face of the lich, I doubted he expected such a turnout.
And Asare didn't disappoint: as we got closer to the end of the valley, he rained down fire and destruction on the undead's final division. Setting the bleach white frames of the bone dragons on fire, and burning the still weak bodies of the Thralls to ash. It was a good move, giving me and the rest enough time to crest the slope and appear in front of the lich and his twelve necromancers.
"You have destroyed my army vampire! Be prepared to di........"
BANG!
"No more talking, just get deader than you already are. Attack!"
