The most awaited royal wedding ceremony was about to happen today. It was a full state occasion; thus, it was a public holiday in country D. The royal family was looking forward to this very special occasion. Aside from them, the citizens of Country B were also excited to witness the exchange of vows between their King and Queen.
The ceremony would happen in the oldest but prestigious cathedral of Country B. Princess Leila handled everything for this occasion with the couple's approval on all details.
There was live broadcast coverage of this important event in the State. Invited guests from all over the world were already waiting inside the cathedral. Royal guards scattered in the place to maintain the safety and security of everyone attending.
Many prominent people from Country B and other countries attended this royal wedding, so the security was very tight.
The members of the Royal family as well as Brione's friends were all waiting for the arrival of the royal bride.
Gavin was already inside, pacing back and forth because of the thrill and excitement. Today was the dream wedding he wanted to give Brione. And he wanted it to be perfect.
"Gavin, just relax, son. Why are you so tense?" King Lucas said, holding Gavin's shoulder.
"I'm not, Father… I'm just excited to see my Bride." Gavin smiled at his father sheepishly, scratching his face.
Gavin was like a knight as he wore his red royal uniform matched with his black pants and leather shoes. He had a golden belt on his waist.
It did not take long when the invited musicians started playing the opening wedding song. It was the sign that the royal bride had arrived.
Brione was riding a royal carriage, escorted by her brother Noah. She was wearing a beautiful white long wedding gown. In her hands, she was holding Myrtle in her bridal bouquet as one of the traditions of a royal wedding, Myrtle known as the herb of love.
Of course, the sparkling tiara decorated with pearls and diamonds on her head completed the whole picture. She looked so stunning in her wedding dress.
Four pairs of royal guards were standing at the entrance door of the cathedral, holding their swords up as they waited for the royal bride to pass through.
Everyone averted their gaze at the entrance when the large door was pulled open. It was a beautiful sight, seeing Brione standing outside in her glamorous white dress.
Noah was beside her, escorting her as they passed through the middle of the four royal guards.
Gavin's eyes were fixed on his stunning bride as Brione started walking down the aisle with her brother. He couldn't help but look at her with so much adoration in his eyes.
At that certain moment, his eyes became teary, thinking how lucky he was to have Brione as his wife. It was like a dream come true.
So many challenges came their way. He got rejected when he confessed his feelings for the first time. After that, the accident happened wherein he almost died, causing him to be separated from Brione. He even lost his memory.
Who would have thought that he would still have a second chance to be with the woman he loved the most? And today, they would finally tie the knot in front of everyone and the Almighty God.
They were ready to exchange their vows, containing their promises of forever.
As Brione was getting closer to Gavin, her lips curled up into a loving smile with eyes full of tears. They were tears of joy.
She didn't plan to cry as early as this, but she couldn't help it. She was so emotional as she walked down the aisle, seeing Gavin waiting for her at the altar.
She couldn't ask for more. She was so happy today. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and she wanted to cherish this.
Upon reaching Gavin, he immediately extended his hand to Brione. Gavin and Noah exchanged a nod, both smiling at each other.
"Take the hand of my sister and don't ever let her go…" Noah said to Gavin.
"I know. I will never let her go," Gavin responded with utmost sincerity.
Noah showed respect to Former King Lucas by slightly bowing his head. Lucas acknowledged his greeting by nodding his head. Then he turned to Brione.
"Best wishes to both of you. Looking forward to having my grandchild," Lucas teasingly said to the couple. He even winked at Brione.
Brione and Gavin could only laugh with tears in their eyes. Just like Lucas, they were also excited to have children of their own.
Noah and Lucas just smiled as they watched the couple walking to the front where the Archbishop was waiting for them.
The wedding ceremony had started. The King and Queen followed the royal wedding traditions during the ceremony. The Archbishop blessed the couple, and soon, they proceeded to the exchanging of vows.
Brione and Gavin were now facing each other, hands holding each other.
Brione was the first one to say her vow of promise. Her heart was pounding crazily inside her chest as she gazed around. So many people would hear her vows. She was so nervous.
Gavin could feel it, so he squeezed her hands, comforting her as if he was telling her just to relax and don't mind others. She should only focus on him.
Brione took a deep breath as she mustered up her courage before reciting her vow.
"To them, you are the King of this land… but as for me, you are my everything… my loving husband and my other half… and my partner in life."
"Today, I solemnly swear to love you as long as I live. I will also protect you with all my heart. I will always be here to support you in everything. I will help carry the burden and the big responsibilities on your shoulder. You can rely on me. And I promise that I will be a patient and understanding wife to you."
"And together, we will create a big family with lots of children!" Gavin suddenly blurted out, making the crowd burst out into peals of laughter.
