He calmly went towards my bed, took the towel which was in his hand and began to dry himself. His eyes never left my back, I wondered actually that why he was still persistent, that came to see me after knowing about the curse?

"Ow! Syna you are keeping too much hate for me, without knowing the truth, I know we need to talk but don't yell at me, please."

I was hearing him calmly, my ears were focusing on every word while analysing but still I wasn't willing to forgive him.

Not this time.

Or perhaps not until he clears up the things between us!

I turned around and immediately grabbed the scarf which was laying on the bed, silly Lolita had dropped it there.

I couldn't let Sinclair see my hideous self even though he was aware of my condition. Wrapping the cloth around my head, I covered my face and went closer to him.

"Why shouldn't I yell at you, huh? When at first you tried to kill me and then vanished by dumping me after this curse? Now you want me to shut my mouth, huh!?"

My voice ranged with the same level as I halted in front of him, Sinclair MacLaverty lifted his eyes up as his orbs were darted onto my covered face which only exposed my eyes to him.

"It is definitely not like that, Syna. I didn't want you to know about...I feared that you will hate me after knowing, but I swear honey, I didn't attempt to kill you."

Sinclair shot up from the bed instantly which made me cautious of him and I took a few steps back staggering.

"Syna please, you have to believe me I never left you at all. How could I leave you, you are my mate, my better half!"

Seeing my reaction, his face turned dark and a long upset expression appeared on his face. Deep down I could feel that he was saying the truth, but no, how could I let him go without even listening every single truth from his mouth.

"Then why did you leave the day I gained consciousness? On the top of that you went around playing with your dear cousin Jade Lombardi, that bitch!"

I raised my voice in anger, clearly my inner speech was coming out through my teary eyes.

"She even got pregnant with your child and you expect me to understand you!"

At last, I spilled out the beans and my worst nightmare to him. To my surprise Sinclair's expressions became troublesome more likely puzzled, as if whatever I was saying passed above his head.

"What!"

His eyes widened as if he had gotten a shock by my words, but I didn't care because all I wanted was the truth to come out of his lips!

"W- what are you talking about, Syna! My child….haha!"

He plopped back into the bed by holding his head in both hands, a loud laughter resonated in the quiet room which he didn't bother to cover with his hand.

My blood boiled instantly, how dare he make fun of me when I was having a serious conversation with him.

"Don't laugh! What's so funny?"

Upon hearing my voice, he tried to suppress his giggles and addressed me dearly.

"My stupid honey bun, Jade is my cousin and sure enough she is pregnant but the child isn't mine. The woman is already married and…for your assurance this is her second kid."

Okay, this was definitely not the answer I was expecting from him.

"What! What are you saying? I saw you two doing shopping together yesterday and she took baby stuff…"

No! Still there were plenty of unanswered questions, many things were still in the dark.

"If she is married then why did you leave me immediately and went with her on a so called shopping date, huh? If she is married then why the hell your restless ass went on the shopping, where was her husband!?"

I burst out in anger, previously his laugh had made me boiled and now I had caught his another lie.

"Hey, hey, honey! Calm down, I didn't leave you that day first of all, I had to go because of an urgent meeting in the vampire kingdom. And secondly I went to meet Lombardi that day with Jade, after shopping."

He took me by shoulders and explained the things, I could see sincerity of his words, in his hazel orbs.

"Then what excuse do you have about that comment of yours, huh? You said only you could kill me, why? Why the heck, what did I do to you? I haven't even met you before this job and you were persistent on killing me….hah!"

My rage was boiling like a bubbling volcano and I shook his hand off from my shoulder, my body was working at the call of my mind that I pushed Sinclair MacLaverty to create a distance.

"Oh please Sinclair, I am fed up of your lies now. Do you think I am a fool, I know when you couldn't kill me and get your ways, you...you placed this curse on to take revenge!"

I turned around, fuming with rage. Of course, I have had enough of his lies.

"Stop it Syna!"

Before I could speak anything upon his rude remark, my hand landed a slap on his face which surprised me.

"I- I can understand that you are angry with me, but please at least hear me out."

To my surprise he grabbed my hands immediately and stopped me from moving around like an angry bird.

"Certainly I didn't leave you that day, mind it, okay. I had to meet the vampire noble Lord Iñigo De Raizel, if you don't believe me then I will take you to him. And about this stupid curse on you, it is NOT my doing at all, how could I hurt my bride."

I could see his eyes swelled with tears by now, my heart was still being treacherous, as it believed his words. My lips seemed to be truthful upon seeing his condition.

"Do- do you still love me? Then why did you say that 'you will kill me', is that why you are here?"

Although, my face was covered with the cloth but still he didn't cringe or averted his eyes from mine. Maybe I was totally wrong, maybe he still loved me.

But it was all a maybe.

"Syna! Oh, Syna! How can I make you believe me, you are forcing me to disclose you the truth, which I don't want to."

I didn't know what Sinclair MacLaverty meant by that, but my ears pricked at his words.

It seemed as if some bigger bomb was about to fell on my head!

My heart almost stopped struggling, perhaps everything was coming to an end.

An absolute end of our love story.

I thought to stop him from speaking any more but then aagin my brain and heart was intending to hear whatever he had to say.

Little did she know that a whole new story was waiting for her to be disclosed,  a revelation which perhaps wasn't her cup of tea to swallow.
