125 Chapter 122:

"Too bad that's not really real." Lawrence chimed in, as he clicked around on the screen of the laptop. "Done! I set it up. So let's start the call now!" He says as he pressed the call button on the screen.

I braced myself, taking a deep breath from within my chest, my shoulders rising as I inhaled and then exhaled to calm myself down. Why am I so nervous all of a sudden! It's just talking to my parents!

The laptop rung sound of soft beeps. I took a step closer to adjust the camera so that my parents could see me very clearly. Lawrence went to go behind me, standing to the side like a servant while I sat directly on the camera being the center of attention.

"You know, you can sit with me here right?" I pat on the futon, signaling him to the seat.

"Nah. It's a bit embarrassing and a bit awkward for the King and Queen to see me sitting close to you. It'll be awkward so I'll just stay here." He responded.

"Suit yourself, I guess." I sighed, getting comfortable in the chair as I waited for my parents to answer the call.

As time went by, the app continued to ring with their number but there has been no reply whatsoever. I started to get anxious about this. Why weren't they answering our calls? Could they have forgotten about it?

"Hey? What's taking them so long to answer?" I turn to Lawrence to enlighten me with the answer.

"I'm afraid, I don't have the answer to that. They told me to call around this time and handed me a number but they never told me that they wouldn't be able to make it. So just be patient, I think they are just running a little late." He tells me, but doubt slowly crept into my mind.

I mean it was normal for them not to show up to things. Every time I have my birthdays in the castle, they would never show up because they were always busy with their duties. I've heard it a little too well.

They would tell me how they were busy handling business every time I would see them and when I would want to talk to them. I mean I shouldn't really be ranting or complaining like this, they are important people and they have duties to attend to but at least, they should show up when they promise to show up..

I sighed, frowning as I brush my hair to remembering the bittersweet memories of my parentless events. The parties where they didn't show up, the award ceremonies they weren't able to make it at. I know it a little too well..

"Let's just go." I blurted out to Lawrence.

"What?"

They won't show up again as usual. Though I wish they didn't schedule this whole thing to just give me false hopes that they would.

I stood up from my seat, making Lawrence jitter from his position. "Hey! Where are you going?" He shouted as he sees me heading over to the door.

"I'm leaving, what's it look like to you?" I responded sarcastically.

"Aren't you at least going to wait for a bit? I mean they could seriously just be late. So sit down on your chair, let's give them a few more minutes alright?" Lawrence tried to convince me to stay in the room but I just don't want to do it.

"Forget it, Lawrence... I mean, they weren't able to make time for me, when I was in the castle. What makes you think, they will make time for me when I'm not in the castle anymore." I reasoned with him.

"But still! At least stick around here for a bit. I mean they wouldn't tell me that they would be calling and proceed not to call right?"

"Ah. Well. I guess you don't really know much about my parents. They are great rulers, don't get me wrong but I don't think they are the best parents. They would make promises like that to me but every time something happened, they would choose that rather than to choose me. So I guess I'll just spare my feelings and not try to hope that they would call because I'm kind of just tired of being given hope for something that can't happen!" I exclaimed, storming out of the room.

"Wait! Come back here!" I hear Lawrence shouting in the distance, commanding me to go back but I just couldn't. I don't wanna be there anymore. I just want to go home at this point. As I come back out of the room, I could see the office workers and the principal waiting for me in the distance like a bunch of dogs waiting for their master.

"So how did your conversation with the King and Queen go? Did it go well?" They asked me.

I sighed. "Not really, they didn't really answer the call. Now would you excuse me, I guess I might just go back to my dorm room now." I responded to them as I'm dragging my feet on the cemented floor.

As I made my way outside, I could see the array of flashing lights in the distance and see most of the students to be dancing and partying and yelling. Hm. I guess they are having a big social event right now. Should I join them? Eh.. you know what. I guess I don't really have anything else better to do. Let's just go.

POV: Lawrence Harrington.

I stood there, dumbfounded as I receive a text from one of the attendants in the Kingdom. Apparently, the King and Queen were really busy so they wouldn't be able to attend today's video call meeting. Just hearing this news just breaks my heart.

I guess Celestina was right about her parents. It was right for her to walk away instead of just staying there, making herself feel more hopeless.

I closed the laptop and made my way outside to the principal. I thanked them for letting us use the room and say how grateful I am and after our pleasantries. I went ahead and look for Celestina. I should probably head back to the dorm. She said that's where she was going.

Full speed, I ran towards the dorm house, moving past a few people that were all dressed to go to a party or something. Seems like there's a lot of people outside at this time of the day. Don't they have homework or something to do?

Finally, with the dorm house in the distance. I slowed my running, looking around the surroundings to see where Celestina is at. Is she already inside the dorm room by now? I went to the stairs and got up to our floor to check but as I was making my way there. I see two familiar faces in the distance.

ACK. My heart dropped to my stomach as I see that bimbo girl again but this time the tall and sweet Cypress is with her. What could they be up to now on this building...

"Sup cutie!" That annoying voice once again comes back to haunt me in my dreams. "Did you miss me Lawry-poo!" She shouted playfully.

"Hello, Lawrence. It's nice to see you again." Cypress greeted me formally.

"Oh hello, guys. What are you two doing here? Isn't your dorm room like on the other side of this dorm house?" I interrogated them.

"We're here since we wanted to invite you to the party they are having on campus right now. I mean surely you should be aware of what's happening since the flashing lights and all." Diana informed of the reason they are there.

"I don't really have time to attend a party but have any of you seen Celestina? Did she come inside the dorm room?" I asked them.

"No. If she were to go near here, we would have seen her. Why? Is something wrong with her?" Cypress inquired with concern.

WAIT? WHAT? So she didn't come to the dorm after all?! Where on earth is Celestina?!

"She.. kind of stormed off after hearing bad news so I'm worried about her but now.. she's not even in the dorm? Where could she possibly be?!" I started to panic, with my heart pounding fast. I hope she's not in any danger...

"I mean I'm pretty sure she's just around here. I mean no one is allowed to leave the campus so I guess she's safe." Diana stated, to try to calm down my nerves.

"I know.. where she is.." A croaky voice spoke from beside us. As we all turn to the side, we see a woman with eyebags on her eyes and baggy clothes on the other dorm room.
