Neo dropped Alyx at his living quarters and after answering a few questions left him. Alyx has many question about this reality but now he has to find their answers on his own, on the web.

The living quarters was a huge estate for each Aon and it was isolated in the middle of a large forest. The living quarters of Aons are not grouped together so he can't find or contact other Aons without their permission. He was the only one at present here. Everything at his living quarters was automated and controlled through Ax.

'Let's take a bath'

Although a bath was not necessary he took it to relax himself. He missed his family and his old life very much. Although being an Aon grants him immortality with no one to call his own he was not happy with it.

"Kristen wait for me with our daughter I will definitely return." Although their life will continue on and they might face many hardships as long as he is able to return to the exact point of his death he will change everything.

After the bath he dressed up in the same clothes. "With these clothes there is no need to take a bath. But old habits die hard." The clothes can be programmed to change their design and material they are made with. 'They appear to be some kind of advanced programmable memory foam made with nanobots.' thought Alyx.

"Ax connect me to the net"

Alyx was not even surprised hearing about virtual net but he was not in the mood for that.

"Ax call me by my name don't use any honorifics or titles. You can converse with me as an equal"

From the basic information he knew about the assistive AIs, he learned that they are a double edged sword. They can be very useful but at the same time limit the development of their host if they depend too much on them. But Alyx thought differently about them as he read many novels and was always fascinated with them. He wanted to develop Ax into an AI similar to them. Also he doesn't want to turn emotionless and mechanical like Neo. When conversing with Neo he always felt that every step it took was calculated. He doesn't want to turn into them, although in the information provided there is no warning about developing the AAIs and it is possible that some of the Aons have tried it, he is still going to try it.

'I'm going to be a human with an AI not an Aon' Alyx said to himself.

"I'm going to browse directly"

As he said that an interface appeared in his mind it was a weird feeling as he could concentrate on it and the same time see with his eyes, it's like trying to see two thing at the same time and succeeding. It's not possible for a human but being an AI he was not feeling any discomfort.

'Sigh'

Although he is trying his best to be a human but still he is changing into something else.

"Get a grip on yourself Alyx" He slapped himself to stop his train of thoughts.

Looking at the interface it was simple and using it was intuitive as long as he thought about something Ax would take care of the remaining.

First thing on his list was to know more about MB Neo.

MB Neo is the fifth star of the black hole Polyphemus, which is located at the frontier of the known universe. The Aons with their advanced technology are still not able to know the boundaries of the universe.

When looked from space MB Neo appears to be a lush and vibrant planet. The wild scenery on MB Neo and its bizarre flora and fauna are artificially maintained to make it more habitable to different life forms. Aons conduct exercise on different life forms to create an optimum body for their activities. During the course of this many different types of life forms and mutations are created. Alyx current body one of the standard model for new Aons.

To the cultures of Earth, MB Neo is mysterious, primal and terrifying. Even from orbit, the scope of florae present on the surface indicates a planet brimming with life. There are many primitive civilizations located on it. One of them are the Lizardmen, a murky brown-skinned, bipedal lizard-like animal with bio-luminescent qualities that the Aons conduct experiment frequently due to their rapid growth of population. Some rare tribes of Lizardmen have domesticated other species hunt for food. Some ride the mountain banshee to hunt from the air and horse like creatures on the ground, but the hunter can become prey in the presence of other far more dangerous creatures and mutations. In the canopy below, other deadly yet exotic animals roam: vicious packs of wolves like creatures, thick skinned hammerhead boars and the most fearsome creature of all, Dragons. Other than the richness of varying colors, the trees resemble those of Earth. They have the familiar trunks, branches and leaves, though due to the difference in gravity, many of the shapes appear strange to humans and the proportions are greater because of the higher gravity. The trees and plant life of MB Neo have formed their own self defense mechanism.

MB Neo, despite being almost as large as Sun, is only the smallest star of Polyphemus, which has thirteen other super stars. However, its smaller size is due to it being constructed around a red dwarf. Due to MB Neo's higher gravity, most creatures on MB Neo are hexapods (six-legged), although the Lizardmen resemble humans and have only two legs. Creatures roam the air and forest canopy below, similar to Earth's animals, but on a scale several times larger. MB Neo's wildlife also have bioluminescent qualities. Depending on the position of the various stars, MB Neo can have two or even three stars in its sky at once. Polyphemus cast large black shadows on MB Neo creating a day and night cycle.

MB Neo looks like a lush paradise by Earth standards during the day, but at night, virtually all life on the star exhibits bioluminescent qualities in various shades of blue, purple and green. This possibly explains the lizardmen's blue skin color, which most likely provides them better camouflage at night on MB Neo.

Alyx thought he was somewhere on the surface but he was very deep inside MB Neo and the environment around his dwelling was artificially created including the sky.
