"You're the new CEO?" Kourtney said.

Sorry, let me take it back a little. This story takes place in New York City with a girl named Kourtney Perez, who works as a marketing manager for a stationery company. Kourtney has been working for this company for over 5 years and is quite comfortable with the workload and office hours. Work was the most important thing to her until she met him.

The alarm goes off at 5:40 AM, then at 6 AM, then 7 AM. Kourtney finally wakes up from her deep sleep and realizes she's overslept on her first day back from her vacation break.

"Crap!" she said as she jumped out of bed. After 15 minutes of rushing to get to work, she runs to work. A car almost bumps into her while she is crossing the street at a green light.

"Hey, watch it!"She said while slamming her hand onto the man's red Porsche. The man gets out of his car.

"Lady, this is a new car and you were crossing on a green light," he said.

"Listen Mr. Rich guy, I'm late to work and unlike you, I have a job that I need to keep in order to survive. So, I have to go now, toodles!" She says while running away from the man.

"You're a crazy lady!" He shouts before getting into his car.

Kourtney runs into the building she works in and is greeted by the doorman but cuts the conversation short. She takes the elevator to the third floor and clocks in.

"Hey, Kourtney. You're late."

"Yes I know, Stephanie."

"I always knew you weren't cut out for this job," she said while admiring her nails.

"Okay if you're trying to make me feel down, I just want you to know that it's not my fault I got promoted. Also, you've been late exactly 48 times and I've been late twice. Check yourself before you speak. Sorry, but I have to go meet our new CEO now," Kourtney said while walking away with her head held high, but her brain was thinking that Stephanie Keisha was going to sabotage her role as marketing manager because of what she just said.

Kourtney went to her office desk and waited to be called in by the new CEO. After waiting 10 minutes, she was called into the CEO's office. She walked into the office and was surprised to meet the same man who almost killed her.

"You're the new CEO?"

"Yes I am, he looks at her name tag, Ms. Perez."

I'm an idiot, Kourtney thought.
