Sally lay in bed with a book in her hand. Her mind, however, was somewhere else at the moment. She felt uncertain about her future with Addison. It was quite clear that they would have to make a lot of compromises if they wished to stay together. Regardless of whether they would actually have a future together or not, Sally had made up her mind that she would focus on how to be an independent and self-sufficient woman. The thought of being dependent on another man didn't sit well with her. It wasn't in her character to be some ordinary delicate flower in the garden. This realization came to her at a very young age when she was just a little girl.

Suddenly, something caught her attention. The splashing sound of the water from the shower stole Sally's attention from her book. With a stifled sigh, she slowly put the book away and stared blankly into the distance. For a moment, she was completely lost in her thoughts.

Just then, the shower door was pushed open from the inside. Sally's face looked at the direction of the door on its own accord just as Addison had stepped out of the shower. With nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist, he used another towel to dry his wet hair.

It was universally acknowledged that Addison had a great body, even comparable to some top international models. He had narrow hips and broad shoulders over a well-toned, masculine built. Not to mention the number of women he'd leave breathless every time they'd see him in a tailored suit. Addison's honey-kissed tan wasn't all that dark, not something anyone would comment on. It made him softer, like a sepia tone in a photograph. There were visible traces of scars on his back that didn't fade away with time. These scars were from his brutal training regimen throughout the years.

Sally felt

"Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!"

someone was already busy freshening up in the bathroom. The sky got brighter and the morning twilight heralded the beginning of a new day.

When it was seven o'clock, Addison stepped out of the bathroom, fully dressed. He no longer had the casual look he had back in West Street. Now he looked smart and professional. He wore a pale blue shirt and a black suit coat. He also had a white-striped black silk tie to go with his shirt. It went without saying that he was a man of good taste. His outfit made him look even more mature for his age.

As he walked past the bed, he fondly pecked Sally on her rosy cheek. His beloved girl was still asleep and he hated the thought of waking her up from her slumber. With a loving smile on his lips, Addison softly said, "I have made you some breakfast in the kitchen. You just need to heat it up in the microwave when you get up. I assume today will be quite busy for me. If it's not too much trouble, can you bring me lunch to my office?" As if she could hear his words, Sally's eyelids trembled in her sleep. Addison silently shook his head and left a gentle kiss on her lips. Then he walked out of the bedroom and carefully closed the door behind him.
