177 A Leap Of Faith

Three days passed by fast like everything that happened the last week was nothing but fragments of memories… Just like that, it was already Friday night…

The shooting had been smooth sailing and nothing seemed to be out of place. Xu Jia Li preoccupied herself with completing the scenes required for the movie. They only had a week and the shooting would be completed.

Lan Meixu visited her yesterday with another contract for a romantic- action movie. It would be a secret for now and the writer would be the famous, Wu Jin. He was known to be one of the greatest writers in Asia. Since it would be the last work of Wu Jin, he specifically chosen Xu Jia Li to be the female lead. The male lead was still to be announced.

It was a challenge for Xu Jia Li since it would be her first time doing an action film. The shooting would start at the start of January, after the Golden Phoenix Award.

Xu Jia Li had also been in contact with Zhou Jiayin and she planned to go to their house on Sunday. Her plan was going well that the two-faced Ye Lingling was starting to show her true self.

All she needed was to make them fall on their knees and make them taste hell, the way they did to her mother.

She was in deep thought when Shen Linqin approached her, "Li-jie, are you going out?"

"Yes, Linqin. I won't stay here for the weekends."

"B-but Li-jie…"

"Linqin, just go home early. Use my car and drive safely."

"But, can't I just stay here, Li-jie? I really love the hot spring here," Shen Linqin pleaded.

"Well, you can stay here but I really have to go. Aren't you afraid of sleeping alone in an unfamiliar place?" Xu Jia Li laughed as she was reminded of how frightened Shen Linqin was every time she had to sleep alone in a different place.

"Li-jie, why do you have to go?" Shen Linqin sulked as she slumped on the bed.

"I have to fix some things, that's why. So be a good girl and go home now."

Shen Linqin sighed deeply before she stood, "Okay but I'll drive you, Li-jie. I can't just let you on your own."

"It's okay, Linqin. I already book a cab. Anyway, I still need to talk to Director Han for a little while. Just go now," Xu Jia Li patted Shen Linqin's head as she smiled reassuringly at her.

"Aiyoo, Li-jie, I'm worried about you," Shen Linqin pouted before she hugged Xu Jia Li, "And I'm always the one using your car."

"It's nothing, Linqin. Be safe, okay?"

The two of them began to walk towards the lobby. Once they reached the entrance, she motioned for Shen Linqin to go as she watched her from the resort's lobby. She waved her hand as she watched the pouting Shen Linqin drove away.

She really wasn't going to talk to Director Han. She was actually just waiting for Si Weimin to arrive. He messaged her earlier telling her that he reserved a dinner for the two of them.

In truth, it was herself she didn't trust. It was like all the barriers she put were nothing when she was with him. She was afraid to give in to the temptation.

Although Si Weimin promised her that he wouldn't force her into doing something she didn't like, the problem still lay with her. She didn't know how long she could hold on especially every time she gazed at him. It was like a part of her wanted to succumb to what her body wanted.

However, in the end, she agreed to his suggestion. She knew that it was for her own sake, since things had been getting complicated lately. It was a big step for their relationship. She was taking a leap of faith, giving in to what she wanted.They decided not to tell anyone, except Wang Guo and Zhen Nian. She would also need to change her password to avoid anyone finding out that she wasn't sleeping in her apartment.

Since she hadn't told anyone about her relationship with Si Weimin except for Wang Guo and Zhen Nian, she had to be discreet. The less people who knew, the more they could enjoy their relationship.
