Chapter 190 - Zhang Jing was Quite Famous

When Li Mu Chen went back to the table, her mother, Zhao Wei pulled at her hand and frowned. "Where have you been?"

Li Mu Chen glanced at the table across the table and saw that Li Qin Yao was leaning her head on her boyfriend's shoulder while she conversed with the elder man.

"Nowhere. I went to get some air, but I ran into Li Qin Yao and her boyfriend," Li Mu Chen said. She turned to her mother with an aggrieved expression and continued, "I tried to start a conversation with them but guess how they treated me?" She sneered before retelling her encounter with her cousin earlier.

Of course, Li Mu Chen managed to make her cousin looked bad and she did not mention Li Qin Yao's unwillingness to help her transfer to B City. Her mother would scold her if she knew that she went to ask for her cousin's help.

"Just leave them be," Zhao Wei said after she heard her daughter's side of the story. "You should not lower your standard to them. Next time, don't go and find your cousin without reason. You should just wait. I will convince your brother and grandfather to let you join the project in B City."

Li Mu Chen bit at her lower lips. She could not let her mother know that she had tried to convince her cousin into letting her participate in that big project and unfortunately ruined that chance.

"Anyway," Zhao Wei continued. "I wanted to introduce you to Chairman Gao's son, Gao Sheng. You should remember him. You went to the same high school as him."

Li Mu Chen could only nod obediently at her mother's request. She looked around and noticed that her brother was no longer sitting around at the table. "Mom, where's big brother?"

Zhao Wei glanced at the table at the center. "He went with your grandfather to greet a few of their business partner."

After a while, it was time for the bride and groom to toast with the guests.

Li Ming Han and his wife, Bai Qing Qing, walked from table to table with a videographer following behind them to record their every move.

The newlyweds walked over to Li Qin Yao's table and greeted Li Chun and her husband. Then, Li Ming Han turned to Li Qin Yao and she then introduced the couple to Zhang Yu Han and his family members.

Li Ming Han had long known that his grandfather had invited his cousin's business partner to attend his wedding banquet. However, as he looked at the way his cousin manner with Director Zhang, Li Ming Han could not help but widen his eyes in surprise.

"Cousin Sister," Li Ming Han lowered his voice as he talked. "You and Director Zhang…"

"Hmm… we're seeing each other."

Li Ming Han continued to stare at his cousin with his eyes wide. A thought crossed his mind and Li Ming Han then glanced at Zhang Yu Han. "Then, Chef Qin's specialty desserts last time… they were sent to you by Director Zhang?"

It was not hard for him to connect the two dots. Chef Qin was working with The Orchid, a hotel belonged to Zhang Group Worldwide. Because of Zhang Yu Han's identity, it would not be hard for him to ask Chef Qin to prepare the cakes for his girlfriend and have those desserts as packed as takeaways!

Li Ming Han suddenly turned to Zhang Yu Han with a wide smile on his face. "Cousin-in-law. I really liked those desserts by Chef Qin."

Zhang Yu Ying, who was in the middle of drinking suddenly choked on her drinks. She stared at Li Ming Han in disbelief as the man continued to sing some praise to her brother while mentioning Chef Qin's specialties. How can someone be as shameless as him?

Her brother, Zhang Yu Han had a faint smile after the groom had addressed him as 'cousin-in-law'.

"Then, the next time you come to our hotel, I will ask Chef Qin to prepare those desserts for you," Zhang Yu Han said.

Instantly, Li Ming Han's expression brightened. Meanwhile, his bride poked him on his waist before she turned to Li Qin Yao with a smile.

Seeing that the bride was looking at her amiably, Li Qin Yao had a good feeling about Bai Qing Qing. "Qing Qing, what do you think of Chef Qin's dessert? I heard you're a fan," Since her cousin's wife had previously introduced herself as Qing Qing, Li Qin Yao could only address her as such.

"You are mistaken. I'm not a big fan of sweets," Bai Qing Qing said. She then turned to her husband. "Ming Han is the one with a sweet tooth."

Li Qin Yao immediately turned to Li Ming Han once she heard Bai Qing Qing's words.

Back then, didn't Li Ming Han coaxed her into giving away two portions of her deserts by saying that Bai Qing Qing was a fan of Chef Qin's creation?

Li Qin Yao suddenly figured out what was going on. It turned out that Li Ming Han had eaten those desserts by himself!

How could Li Ming Han not notice the sharp gaze from Li Qin Yao? He turned to his cousin and let out a dry cough before smiling innocently.

At this time, the group suddenly heard a commotion.

Li Qin Yao turned around and saw that her grandfather and their cousin, Li Mu Bai was heading towards them.

"Grandfather," both Li Qin Yao and Li Ming Han greeted simultaneously.

Li Ren Xin nodded at the others before he turned to the two people he had never seen before. Once he laid his eyes on Zhang Jing, Li Ren Xin finally recalled who Zhang Jing was.

Although they were not from the same industry, Li Ren Xin had heard stories about Zhang Jing. The younger generation might not know this, but back then, Zhang Jing was quite famous because of his love story with his late wife, who was someone from a reputable family.

His late wife was a few years older than him. Therefore, when everyone heard that Zhang Jing was marrying her, everyone had thought that he only wanted to climb up the social ladder.

But as years go by, Zhang Jing proved everyone wrong. Rumors were surrounding them, but the couple's relationship remained strong. Zhang Jing's relationship with his late wife's family was really good that they would provide him with their backing to help him build up his business.

Because of his late wife's reputation, even when the Zhang family left their home country to expand their business overseas, their family continue to have their influence and their business continued to flourish.

As Li Ren Xin recalled the stories, he then took a step towards Zhang Jing and stretched out his hand for a handshake. "Chairman Zhang, It was nice to finally meet you," he let out a small cough and continued, "I'm Li Ren Xin, Yao Yao's grandfather."

Everyone around them watched the scene with surprise on their face as Chairman Li took the initiative to introduce himself and not the other way around.
