Chapter 197 - Mister Zhang, You're Good

Li Qin Yao lowered her head as she ate her porridge quietly. As usual, Li Qin Yao and her mother were having their breakfast with Zhang Yu Han, his grandfather, and his sister that morning. However, Li Qin Yao had noticed the way Zhang Yu Ying was staring at her and Zhang Yu Han alternately ever since she showed up at the coffee house.

It was not hard to tell that Zhang Yu Ying was staring at her slightly swollen eyes and was probably misunderstood that somehow, Zhang Yu Han had done something to make her cry.

As this thought crossed her mind, Li Qin Yao did not know whether she should be laughing at this situation and felt sorry for her boyfriend. She had a feeling that no matter how much Zhang Yu Ying would inquire to him about her slightly swollen eyes, Zhang Yu Han will never tell her about what happened last night.

She peeked at Zhang Yu Ying's reaction again and saw the way she was giving her brother an accusing stare.

Sometimes, Li Qin Yao thought that it was her blessing to get to know Zhang's family. She could tell that the three of them care about her, treat her as part of their family, and gave her a sense of belonging.

Once they finished their breakfast, Li Qin Yao went back to the hotel room with her mother to change before they go out to visit Han Yue Xiu's mother at the hospital again.

Their flight to Y City will depart tomorrow evening and the mother and daughter wanted to visit their old friend one last time.

The bell rang as Li Qin Yao was waiting for her mother in the living room. She stood up from the sofa and smiled at the thought that Zhang Yu Han had shown up to pick them up before he drove them to the hospital.

However, once she swung the door open, Li Qin Yao was surprised upon finding that it was Zhang Yu Ying.

"Yu Ying, why are you here?" Li Qin Yao asked in surprise.

"Sister-in-law, can I come in?" Zhang Yu Ying spoke in a low voice.

Li Qin Yao shifted her body to allow Zhang Yu Ying to enter. Li Qin Yao shut the door behind her and watched as Zhang Yu Ying looked around the room.

Once she saw that Li Qin Yao's mother was not around, Zhang Yu Ying grabbed at both Li Qin Yao's hands and looked into her eyes, making her anxious.

"Yu Ying, what's wrong?" Li Qin Yao asked.

"Sister-in-law, that should be my question," Zhang Yu Ying said. She continued to stare for a while before she exhaled a long breath. "You can tell me the truth. Did my brother argue with you?"

Li Qin Yao blinked her eyes a few times, feeling slightly confused at the situation. It took her a while before she could figure out why Zhang Yu Ying came over to her room to find her.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao was embarrassed about the situation. She let out a soft laugh as she felt heat creeping up her neck and face. "We did not argue."

"You don't have to worry. You can tell Whatever it is, I will be on your side," Zhang Yu Ying said. She led Li Qin Yao to the sofa and the two of them sat down. "Although my brother is a good man, as his sister, I know that he can be so dense sometimes. Sister-in-law, if he bullies you, you can tell me or Grandfather. We both will get justice for you."

Hearing Zhang Yu Ying's words, Li Qin Yao felt an indescribable sense of warmth in her heart. "Yu Ying, thank you. But really. Your were not arguing." 

"Then, why did your eyes..." Zhang Yu Ying did not finish her sentence as she continued to look at Li Qin Yao with concern.

Li Qin Yao shifted her gaze and smiled weakly. "It's not your brother. I ran into someone last night and there was a misunderstanding."

Zhang Yu Ying's expression changed. Although there was still that spark of doubt that her brother was bullying her sister-in-law, Zhang Yu Ying was sensible enough to let the matter go. 

"Why are you here?" Zhang Yu Han looked askance at his sister.

"I have some matter to discuss with my sister-in-law," Zhang Yu Ying subconsciously pulled Li Qin Yao behind her as if to defend her from her brother.

"What matter?"

Zhang Yu Ying smiled mysteriously at her brother. "It's a secret between us. As a guy, you shouldn't pry into it." She turned to Li Qin Yao and winked. 

Zhang Yu Han raised a brow. He decided that he was too lazy to talk to his sister and turned again to his girlfriend. "Are you ready? Should we go now?"

Li Qin Yao nodded. She went inside to get her mother and soon, the three of them departed to the hospital to visit Han Yue Xiu's mother.

When Han Yue Xiu saw Zhang Yu Han and her best friend walking side by side, a teasing smile curved on her lips. She walked over to the couple and greeted them both.

"Mister Zhang, I have to say that I'm impressed," Han Yue Xiu said. "The last time I saw you, you were still trying to pursue Yao Yao. I left only for a while and found out that the two of you were seeing each other. Mister Zhang, you're good." Han Yue Xiu then gave a thumb up to Zhang Yu Han.

Li Qin Yao tilted her head down shyly before she gave a pinch at Han Yue Xiu's waist.

"Mister Zhang, when will you treat me to a meal? As your supporter, don't you think that you should treat me to something expensive?"

Zhang Yu Han turned to his girlfriend before he spoke. "If you're free, how about lunch? Of course, you can choose the place."

Han Yue Xiu's eyes brightened at the suggestion. "Perfect. Coincidentally, I'm very free today." She laughed happily at the thought of mooching some food from Zhang Yu Han. "Are you two here to visit my mother?"

"We will head back to B City tomorrow. It wouldn't be right to leave without seeing your mother." Li Qin Yao glanced at the door and asked, "Is my mother with your mother?"

Han Yue Xiu nodded. "Your mother is inside the room accompanying my mother. Once the two met, they started to chat non stop."

"How is your mother," Zhang Yu Han asked.

"She's getting better," Han Yue Xiu said. "My mother should be able to discharge from this hospital next week."
