Chapter 205 - While He was Sleeping

After listening to Qi Zheng's instructions on how to look after a sick person, Li Qin Yao walked him to the door. She thanked him for coming to check on Zhang Yu Han and finally closed the door behind her when he left. Then, she took out her phone and texted Zhang Yu Ying of the new development regarding her brother. 

She glanced at the time and suddenly realized that it was getting late. Because it was the first time that she has to look after a sick guy, Li Qin Yao has been asking Qi Zheng a lot of questions.

Realizing that she probably won't be able to catch the last train to head home later, Li Qin Yao sent a text to her mother to inform her that she will be staying in Y City for the night.

Anyway, she won't be at ease to leave Zhang Yu Han alone in his apartment. Qi Zheng had reminded her to monitor his temperature every few hours. 

She could not call Zhang Yu Ying and ask her to come over. Zhang Yu Ying was staying with Zhang Jing at Zhang's residence. She did not want to alarm their grandfather when Zhang Yu Ying suddenly had to come over to look after her brother.

After making her decision to stay the night and accompany him, Li Qin Yao returned to the master bedroom to check on her boyfriend again.

Zhang Yu Han was sleeping soundly as she approached.

She stood beside the bed and watched his steady breathing. Then, she put a hand on his forehead again to check on his temperature.

Fortunately, his temperature was not as hot as the first time.

Fortunately, Qi Zheng had told her that he was alright and only needed a good rest to recover.

Li Qin Yao crouched down beside the bed and let out a soft sigh as she continued to stare at him. 

The eye bags under his eyes were very apparent. It was obvious that he was too tired to the point that his body collapsed. After all, he had to make a trip to M City after he returned from Capital City.

Still… after his flight landed in Y City, he chose to make a trip to B City just to see her.

As the thought crossed her mind, Li Qin Yao had mixed feelings about the situation. She was a bit touched, a bit guilty and a bit angry at Zhang Yu Han.

If she had known that he was unwell, she would not make a plan with him and instead, she will insist for him to rest.

Li Qin Yao ran her fingers on his eyebrow and slowly trailed down to the tip of the nose. She took her time to look at his feature as he was asleep. Although this was not the first time she had shamelessly stared at him, it was the first time that she had observed his sleeping visage.

A smile curved on her lips as she thought of how attractive he looked like at the moment.

As her breath touched his skin, Zhang Yu Han's eyes fluttered and he slowly opened his eyes. 

Suddenly, their eyes met.

Li Qin Yao froze as she did not know what to do. Her face gradually warmed at the thought that he had caught her staring at him while he was sleeping. She waited for him to break the silence, but hen merely stared back at her as if he was in a daze.

In truth, Zhang Yu Han was really in a daze.

At this moment, Zhang Yu Han thought that he was still in the hotel room in M City and his girlfriend had appeared in his dream.

He had stayed a few days in M City to deal with a few matters and each night after he returned to his room, Zhang Yu Han would always video called his girlfriend to catch up with her. The two of them would talk about their daily life and some random stuff until one of them fall asleep. 

Or rather, until his girlfriend falls asleep. 

He would always make sure that she would fall asleep before he does. Then, he would stare at her sleeping face before he quietly wished her goodnight.

Even though the two of them could see and talk with each other, Zhang Yu Han found that he was missing his girlfriend more than ever. He wanted to have her by his side where he could always touch her.

And this time, it looked like his wish was granted.

Even if it was only in his dream, Zhang Yu Han was glad that he was able to see her in front of him. This dream almost felt like it was real. He could feel the heat radiating from her as the two of them were so close to each other.

"Qin Yao, it's good that you're here." He finally broke the silence. Zhang Yu Han gave her a weak smile and stretched his hand to touch her face. "You almost felt so real."

Li Qi Yao smiled back. From his words, Li Qin Yao could decipher that he had thought of her appearance in his room as nothing but a dream. A soft laugh escaped her.

Zhang Yu Han in his grogginess was definitely fun to watch.

She brushed her hand on his cheek and asked, "How are you feeling?"

Zhang Yu Han hummed. Then, he grabbed her hand on his face before he spoke again. "I miss you so much."

Her gaze softened when she heard his words. But it seemed that he did not hear her question at all.

Zhang Yu Han closed his eyes as he snuggled against her palm. "Qin Yao, stay with me alright?"

It was then that she was reminded of Qi Zheng's words.

Li Qin Yao wanted to head over to the kitchen and prepare some porridge, in case Zhang Yu Han would wake up hungry. After all, she was sure that he did not consume anything before he went to bed as the two of them initially had the plan to meet and eat out somewhere.

However, no matter how much she tried to pull her hand away, Zhang Yu Han refused to loosen his tighten on her hand.

No matter how she tried to peel his hand off hers, Zhang Yu Han had refused to budge. 

Or perhaps, it was more that she did not try too hard as she was afraid of disturbing his rest.

After a few attempts, Li Qin Yao finally gave up. She sat down on the wooden floor and rested her head at the edge of the bed. Her gaze continued to watch his sleeping face.

Soon, his sleeping breath started to sound like a rhythm, coaxing her until her eyelid felt heavy.
