Chapter 274 - A Cute Side

Fortunately for Zhang Yu Han, his wife was not angered that he had previously investigated her. He wouldn't know what to do if she would get angry and decided to broke up with him. Zhang Yu Han thought that he would probably die. 

As the thought went through his mind, Zhang Yu Han glanced at Li Qin Yao and saw that she was supporting her chin with her right hand as she stared at him without blinking.

Zhang Yu Han turned his attention to the road and glanced at her again only to find that his wife was still staring at him. 

"Why… are you looking at me like that?"

Suddenly, Zhang Yu Han was reminded of the first day that they started to date. Back then, she had also stared openly at him just like she did now. She had then told him that she was only examining goods. 

"Hmm," Li Qin Yao tilted her head sideways as she continued to stare at him. "I was thinking. How do you like me after seeing me once at the basketball court?"

Zhang Yu Han chuckled at her question. "I don't know how to explain. It's a feeling."

"Then, doesn't that mean you have fallen for me at first sight?" 

For a few seconds, Zhang Yu Han was speechless. Though it was true that he had fallen for her at first sight, Zhang Yu Han found that it was embarrassing when she had said it out loud. 

"Zhang Yu Han… surprisingly, you have a cute side on you as well."

Zhang Yu Han found that it was not unpleasant to hear someone call him cute. However, it was still awkward.

If he was not driving, Zhang Yu Han would definitely find a way to make her stop talking for a moment. Ever since she had found out the truth, Li Qin Yao has not stopped to tease him.

"Stop teasing me," Zhang Yu Han said helplessly.

"I'm not teasing. I'm admiring," Li Qin Yao said. "To like someone after seeing that person once, and stay to like this person for ten years…"

"Please stop saying it as if you're talking about someone else," Zhang Yu Han sighed. "That person is you."

Li Qin Yao giggled as she felt her brain turned a bit mushy. "Zhang Yu Han, you are a bit crazy as well. If you're not my husband I would probably try to find a way to get rid of you."

"Then, shouldn't I be glad that you only found out about this secret after we are married?"

As the two of them continued their conversation, Zhang Yu Han's Cayenne soon reached the club. He stopped at the entrance and soon, the valet took walked around the vehicle. Zhang Yu Han get off the car and helped his wife out.

The two of them had their dinner at French Restaurant and left for the club to meet up with Zhang Yu Han's friends. Previously, he had brought Li Qin Yao to meet with the boys and introduced her as his girlfriend. Now that she had turned into his wife, Zhang Yu Han thought that it was proper to gather everyone again.

The couple entered into the club and the waiter immediately took them to the private room that Wei Jun Hao had booked. 

When they walked in, everyone was gathered in the room. The boys stood up and started to wish Zhang Yu Han happy birthday. 

"You have met each other previously," Zhang Yu Han said as he looked at his friends. "But let me introduce you again. Everyone, this is Li Qin Yao, my wife."

"Hey, you only wanted to introduce her as your wife, right?" Lin Xiao Feng said. He then turned to Li Qin Yao and greeted her politely. The tone he had used while speaking to Li Qin Yao was totally different than the way he spoke to Zhang Yu Han. Soon, the others started to follow suit.

Everyone was seated around the table and soon, the waiter began ti served some snacks and drink for the party. Li Qin Yao sat obediently beside her husband as she listened to the boys' conversation.

As their conversation began to shift to their memories in high school, Li Qin Yao perked up her ears to listen carefully.

"Can I ask you guys a question?" Li Qin Yao said after listening to them for a long time. 

Zhang Yu Han glanced at his wife and had a hunch at what she was going to ask the boys. Of course, this time he will make no attempt to stop the boys from answering her question.

"Is it something related to the captain?" Wei Jun Hao chuckled. He took a swig from his drink and smiled. "Just ask away. We'll try to answer them."

Li Qin Yao glanced at her husband to check at his reaction. Then she said, "I heard that everyone here was presented during the high school basketball tournament ten years ago.

Suddenly, the room turned to silence.

The boys glanced at Zhang Yu Han, and wonder how they should avoid this topic. Although the two of them were married, the boys knew that Zhang Yu Han had wanted to keep that moment from ten years ago a secret.

"She know about it now," Zhang Yu Han said.

Hearing his words, the boys turned to watch the couple back and forth. 

"You already know about that thing at the basketball tournament?" Su Ming Yuan blinked his eyes in disbelief.

"What thing? Just say it as it is." Qi Zheng chuckled. He turned to Li Qin Yao and asked. "You mean, how our captain had seen you at the basketball court and has been chasing after you afterward?"

"Can that still be considered chasing?" Feng An Yu shook his head. "Back then, our captain did not even know who that girl is."

"How did she know?" Wei Jun Hao asked. He looked at Zhang Yu Han and raised a brow. "You told her?"

Zhang Yu Han nodded briefly. "She found that investigation report you gave me months ago. I have to explain."

Wei Jun Hao burst into a fit laugh as he heard that. "How did you react to it? Our captain was always worried that you would think that he's a strange pervert if you ever find out about this story.

Zhang Yu Han's face darkened. "I have never called myself a strange pervert!"

"Sister-in-law, if you wanted to know, then I will tell you how did you become the legendary Miss Li," Qi Zheng said.

Soon, the boys started to tell Li Qin Yao stories from ten years ago and how Zhang Yu Han had tried to find her again even when he met a dead end.

Of course, they did not try to miss any details that would make their captain's face turned red with discomfort.

Li Qin Yao glanced at her husband as she listened to the boys' stories. No matter how many times she had heard about it, Li Qin Yao still thought that it was unbelievable to have someone liking her for the past ten years.
