Chapter 280 - Familiar Username

Back in Capital City…

Han Yue Xiu sat down on the swiveling computer while watching her coworker, no—her employee, Brother Fu showing her something on the dark web forum on his ŀȧptop. A frown appeared on her face as she looked at the requests posted on the forum. As Brother Fu scrolled down the page, Han Yue Xiu's eyes picked up a familiar username on the screen.

"Han Yue Xiu."

Just before she could ask Brother Fu to pause, someone called out her name. When she turned around, Han Yue Xiu saw Song Yi's figure standing not at the entrance, carrying a pastel pink box in his hand.

"Someone sent this to you."

Han Yue Xiu pointed her forefinger to her ċhėst. "For me?" A look of confusion appeared on her face. She was sure that she was not expecting any parcel… She walked over to Song Yi and saw the displeased look on his face. When she peered at the pastel pink box, Han Yue Xiu was surprised upon seeing that there were various small pastries inside.

She took the box from Song Yi and picked up the small card attached to the box.

There were not many things written on the card, except for the name of the sender: Zhang Yu Han. The frown on her face deepened as she started to wonder why on earth would this man send her a box of pastries?

And it was not just any ordinary pastries. These were Chef Qin's specialty creations!

Han Yue Xiu took the box back into her office and picked up her phone to dialed her friend's number. It did not take too long for the phone call was connected.

"Han Yue Xiu, what is?" It was rare for her friend to contact her during office hours. Therefore, Li Qin Yao was curious.

"Yao Yao, why did your husband send me a box of pastries from his hotel?"

Li Qin Yao was momentarily dumbfounded upon hearing Han Yue Xiu's question. Her thought went back to what happened last weekend and suddenly her face turned bright red.

At the thought of what Zhang Yu Han had done to her that night, Li Qin Yao was still angry. To think that he would torment her the whole night just because she was wearing that unusual outfit.

Fortunately, she had thrown away that outfit into the bin the next morning.

Previously, she had told Zhang Yu Han that it was a gift from Han Yue Xiu. Now that the outfit had benefited him, of course, Zhang Yu Han would send those pastries to Han Yue Xiu as a return gift.

Of course, Li Qin Yao was not going to tell Han Yue Xiu about it lest she'll have to hear her friend's endless teasing. Whatever happened in that bedroom should only stay in the bedroom.

"Did you ask him to send this to me?" Han Yue Xiu added when her friend did not answer. "Hey, Yao Yao, if you don't say anything should I just throw this away? Maybe someone sent this over to poison me, right?"

"You can eat them," Li Qin Yao spoke after a long silence. "It's not poisonous. Anyway," she let out a dry cough. "It was really sent by my husband. Chef Qin doesn't usually let his pastries to be ordered as takeout."

Hearing her words, Han Yue Xiu opened the box and pick at one of the small cake with mango on top of it. She took a small bite at the cake and sighed. "Okay. But why did you guys sent this box to me?"

"Just take it that I asked him to send you a box to brightened up your days," Li Qin Yao said. "Don't ask too much and just enjoy those cakes, alright?"

"Oh." At this time, Han Yue Xiu was no longer interested to know why the couple had sent her the box of pastries.

When Han Yue Xiu looked up from her computer again, it was already late. At the thought that almost everyone had clocked out, Han Yue Xiu opened her web browser and tried to get into the forum that Brother Fu had shown her earlier. She could not stop thinking about that familiar username on that forum and was dying to know if she had seen it right.

Just as she was about to access the forum, her computer screen suddenly black. Han Yue Xiu lifted her head in confusion, then she began to scan at the machine, wondering what was going on.

A knock came at her door and before long, Song Yi appeared.

"Han Yue Xiu, are you crazy?"

"Huh?"

"Why are you trying to access some website you're not supposed to?" Song Yi asked. "Some idiot tried to breach our security."

Han Yue Xiu stood up quickly and realized that she has been careless. "Sorry. I was too careless."

Song Yi walked over to her desk and waited for her to step aside before he slid into her chair to restart her computer. Han Yue Xiu heaved a sigh as she watched Song Yi tapped his fingers on the computer.

Fortunately, Song Yi was still around and had noticed that their security was almost breached. At the thought that she has caused trouble for him and the company, Han Yue Xiu felt a bit guilty.

"Just what is it that you were trying to find?" Song Yi asked. He lifted his head to meet her gaze.

Han Yue Xiu hesitated. "Nothing. I just remember seeing something from Brother Fu's computer earlier. I just thought that I wanted to recheck it."

Song Yi watched her for a while longer before he began to tapped his fingers on the keyboard again. "If you wanted to use that site, come over to my office and use my ŀȧptop. The security is better."

"Oh." Han Yue Xiu nodded.

A slight smile appeared on Song Yi's lips but disappeared quickly when he saw the pastel pink box on her table. His mind went to that man he had met downstairs in the afternoon. That man had introduced himself as Mister Ye and told him that he had come to deliver that box of pastries for Han Yue Xiu.

Because he did not want that person to meet Han Yue Xiu, Song Yi had said that he will help him to deliver the pastries to her. However, he could not stop thinking about that man and wonder if Han Yue Xiu was seeing someone.

He was curious, but Song Yi knew that he had no right to ask. Even so, he still thought that he could not give up. "Have you eaten dinner yet?"

"Not yet."

Song Yi went silent for a minute before he spoke again. "Come over to my office. I'll order some takeaway and I will let you use my ŀȧptop. Then, I have some work matter to discuss with you."

Han Yue Xiu thought over his offer before she nodded. "Alright."

The corner of his lips tilted up. Song Yi stood up abruptly and looked at her. "It will take some time for your computer to work again. Let's go to my office first."

At the thought that she was going to borrow Song Yi's computer to check on the previous site, she immediately agreed.

"Sit down," he pointed towards the sofa and walked over to his desk. He took his ŀȧptop and set it up on the coffee table for Han Yue Xiu to use. "Go ahead. I'll order some food."

Han Yue Xiu nodded absentmindedly before she switched on the ŀȧptop and went to the forum again. She sighed when she was able to access the site smoothly. Han Yue Xiu followed her memory and soon found that username again.

A chuckle escaped her when she found what she was looking for—that tacky username that she knew that Li Qin Yao's cousin would use whenever she went online. After checking, Han Yue Xiu was able to verify that the username was indeed Li Mu Chen's.

However, once Han Yue Xiu saw what Li Mu Chen has posted on the forum, her expression began to change.
