Chapter 287 - Regretting

Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han had arrived in L City two days before Fan Yun Xi and Mo Cheng Feng's wedding. Since they were going away to attend a wedding, Zhang Yu Han thought that it would be a good idea for them to take a short break as well.

Anyway, because their wedding will be held next month, his wife was busy with the wedding preparation as well. Whenever she was not in her office, his mother would kidnap her away to discuss wedding matters. 

Although he was happy that he was going to marry his wife in front of everyone soon, Zhang Yu Han thought that the time he got to spend with his wife has become lesser. Of course, he was dissatisfied with this and therefore, planned an escape from everyone else.

The two of them arrived at the hotel that they previously stayed around midnight. 

When Zhang Yu Han woke up the next morning, he had a satisfied smile on his face when he saw the person in his embrace. Seeing how she was still in her dreamland, Zhang Yu Han decided not to disturb her and instead, continued to watch her sleeping visage. 

He tucked a few strands of hair sprawling on her face behind her ear to get a clear look at her face. His gaze traveled from her long eyelashes to her cute nose and down to her lips. Zhang Yu Han raised his hand to trail his finger on her smooth skins.

Feeling ticklish at his touch, Li Qin Yao moved around and soon buried her face in his ċhėst. Then, her breathing grew steadily again.

It seemed that she was still too tired after rushing around to catch their flight to L City last night.

Zhang Yu Han let out a low chuckle. He let out a sigh in resignation and wrapped his arms around her body. He buried his nose in her hair and his hand ċȧrėssed her back, giving her comfort.

Suddenly, Zhang Yu Han was reminded of how his annoying sister had teased him the last time they had come to L City after VP Mo and his fiancée's invitation to look at their amusement park. His sister had bragged about sleeping in the same bed with her and mentioned how she slept in his wife's embrace.

When he thought about how his sister had taken advantage of his wife previously, Zhang Yu Han was annoyed. Back then, the two of them had just started to date. He only dared to hold her hand and had to suppress everything else as he did not want to frighten her, but his sister dared to mention his wife's soft body.

Subconsciously, his hands started to roam around her body, feeling her smooth skins and soft figure under his skin.

"Zhang Yu Han, what are you trying to do?"

Her voice was muffled, but Zhang Yu Han was able to hear it clearly.

He kissed her on top of her head and shifted so that he was able to look at her face. Although she had woken up, Li Qin Yao was still too lazy to open her eyes. 

"It's unusual for me to sleep in these days, let me sleep a while longer, alright?"

It was then that he realized that his hand was rested at her backside, and he has been feeling that softness for a while. A soft chuckle escaped him. He leaned in to kiss her forehead and spoke, "Alright. I won't do anything. Just continue to sleep."

Once he was sure that his wife was asleep, Zhang Yu Han slowly get off the bed and walked to the bathroom to wash up. Seeing that Li Qin Yao was still in bed, Zhang Yu Han walked out of the bedroom and sat in the living area as he waited for the room service to deliver their breakfast.

Zhang Yu Han took out his phone and browsed the internet to look for a few places they could visit later. His eyes paused when he saw the famous park in L City because of its view. At this moment, Zhang Yu Han was not attracted to how the blogger describe how beautiful the place was, but instead, he was focused on the blogger next line. 

Zhang Yu Han thought about the ring he had kept in his office. He was too anxious to start his life with Li Qin Yao as husband and wife that he had skipped this important stage.

As he looked at the photo of a man proposing to his girlfriend, Zhang Yu Han suddenly wondered if his wife was regretting that she never get the chance to experience a romantic proposal.

Back then, he had proposed with no ring or flowers in his hands. Fortunately, even with that, Li Qin Yao had said yes.

At this thought, Zhang Yu Han thought that he had owed her a proposal. Suddenly, he was regretting that he did not bring along the ring with him to L City.

He let out a sigh of regret, but suddenly, his eyes shone bright again. Zhang Yu Han then began to tap his fingers on the phone excitedly as a plan came to his mind.

Li Qin Yao woke up as the aroma of something delicious wafted into the bedroom. She stretched her body and noticed that her husband was no longer by her side. Her hand touched at the spot where he had slept last night and noticed that he had left the bed for a while. She got off the bed and heard her stomach started to grumble. 

When she peeked at the door, Li Qin Yao saw that her husband was busy arranging the food on the table.

Hearing the low creak from the door, Zhang Yu Han turned around and smiled. "You're awake?" He left the food at the table and walked over to his wife. A helpless sigh escaped him as he combed her hair with his fingers, and tidied up her pajama. Once he was done, Zhang Yu Han pecked at her lips. "Are you hungry? The food has just arrived. I ordered something that you like."

Seeing the way he reacted, Zhang Yu Han let out a chuckle. "Still sleeping?" He opened his mouth to say something and stopped when he heard the low rumble from her stomach.

Zhang Yu Han patted at her backside twice and said, "Come on, go and wash up and have breakfast. Later, let's go out and play around. Didn't you say that there are a few places you would like to visit?"
