Chapter 306 - Worried That His Wife Would be Pressured

Li Qin Yao was awakened by the alarm. She watched as Zhang Yu Han turned around to turn off the alarm and took the chance to looked around. Her eyes widened in surprise upon finding that their surrounding has turned dark. It was then that she recalled reading how day length was shorter around this month in Country C.

Just as she was about to get off the bed, Zhang Yu Han had placed his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his body. Just like that, her back was stuck on his ċhėst.

Feeling his breath tickling her neck, Li Qin Yao shrunk her neck. "What are you doing? Didn't you say we should get up when the alarm rang?"

"Qin Yao, accompany me to sleep a little while longer."

"What time is it?"

"Still early."

Li Qin Yao laughed at his answer. But that laugh soon turned to a gasp when she felt his lips and nose pressed on her neck and trailed down. Li Qin Yao suddenly froze when she felt something else poking at between her legs.

Seeing that his wife had stopped from squirming around, Zhang Yu Han's lips curled into a satisfied smile. He then continued to hug her body tightly while burying his nose in her hair to calm down.

After a while, Zhang Yu Han kissed her on her cheek and loosened his arms around her waist. "Come on. Mom and dad should be off work by now. They should be waiting for us downstairs."

When Zhang Yu Han saw his wife descended, he quickly went over to her side and laced his hand with hers. A few seconds later, Liu Hui Lan's figure came out of the kitchen.

"Qin Yao, you're here," Liu Hui Lan said and smiled. "Welcome to our home in Country C. Did you get enough rest earlier?"

"Un," Li Qin Yao nodded. "We have enough nap after that long flight. Right. We bought you a little something from H Country." She turned to her husband and raised a brow.

"It's in the room. I'll bring it to you later," Zhang Yu Han said to his mother.

Seeing the couple, a smile appeared on Liu Hui Lan's face. "It was still my daughter-in-law who was more thoughtful. Previously, we planned to return and meet you during this time. Who would have guessed that we would return earlier to meet you and it was you who came to C Country to visit us."

Li Qin Yao smiled. She looked around and noticed that her father-in-law was not presented. "Where's dad?"

"He went back into his study as soon as we arrived." Liu Hui Lan let out a long sigh.

Li Qin Yao saw the spatula in her mother-in-law's hand and stepped forward. "Mom, what are you making for dinner? Let me help you."

"No need. I nearly finished. Besides, Auntie Hao is here to help me," Liu Hui Lan said before she turned to her son. "Go and take Qin Yao to sit down and watch TV or something. I'll call you when dinner is done."

"Alright mom," Zhang Yu Han said before he led his wife into a room.

The first thing that Li Qin Yao noticed was the huge screen on the wall. Her husband then turned on the television and some foreign show were on the screen.

Seeing that his wife was rubbing her arms up and down, Zhang Yu Han wrapped his arms around her shoulder. "Cold? I'll hug you and help you to warm up, alright?"

Li Qin Yao felt heat crept up her face upon hearing his words. The last time he said something similar, the two of them ended up going back into their room and he had hugged her in his attempt to help her keep warm. Of course, her mind would wander to think of something else. Fortunately, Zhang Yu Han did not notice her expression, or else, he was going to tease her again.

Feeling his warmth, Li Qin Yao snuggled into his embrace. When she had settled at a position she liked, Zhang Yu Han then kissed the top of her head.

"Where are you taking me tomorrow?" Li Qin Yao said.

"I'll take around the city. Since you're probably tired from our flight, let's just go somewhere close." He paused to look at her "Or, do you have any place you wanted to visit?"

Li Qin Yao shook her head. "You know this place best. I'll just let you be my tour guide then. Right. Little Auntie invited us to come over to her place the day after tomorrow for dinner."

"The day after tomorrow?" Zhang Yu Han frowned as he recalled something. "Isn't that on Christmas day?"

"Un," Li Qin Yao nodded. "Because of her husband, they are throwing a small party. There should be some officials attending the dinner party. Little Auntie said to ask mom and dad to come over as well."

"Alright. I'll ask them."

The two of them continued to talk about a few places that they wanted to visit. Not long after, Auntie Hao knocked on the door and announced that dinner was served.

Zhang Yu Han helped to pull a chair for his wife and paused when he looked at the food on the table. He then glanced at his mother and saw her awkward smile.

Looking at the type of food that his mother had prepared, it was not hard for Zhang Yu Han to find out about his mother's dėsɨrė for a grandchild. He glanced at his wife and was relieved to find that she had not noticed his mother's subtle hint.

Anyway, the two of them have decided to try to get pregnant and his wife was disappointed upon finding that her great aunt had come to visit. Zhang Yu Han was worried that his wife would be pressured upon noticing his mother's intention.

"Mom, should I be worried about dad tonight?" Zhang Yu Han decided to play ignorant.

Liu Hui Lan's expression changed as she heard her son's teasing voice. "Stop speaking nonsense."

Li Qin Yao, who was clueless about what the mother and son were talking about turned to her to look at them both back and forth. "What's wrong with dad? Is he unwell?"

Zhang Yu Han chuckled and Liu Hui Lan looked at her daughter-in-law speechlessly. "Nothing. Your dad is fine. He was just busy with his workload."

Coincidentally, Zhang Xi walked into the room at this time. He greeted his daughter-in-law with a nod and spoke briefly with his son about their flight.

"Dad, mom prepared your favorite food tonight," Zhang Yu Han said. "Be sure that you eat a lot of them."

"Oh," Zhang Xi nodded.

Liu Hui Lan heaved a long sigh when she noticed her son's warning. Then, she hurriedly asked everyone to dig in.
