Chapter 332 - Sister-in-Law, I Need Your Help

The festive season was approaching soon and both Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Han were busy finishing their piling works before a long break. After a brief meeting with the staff at QL Group, Li Qin Yao went over to her cafe to check on her business as well as the staff.

Because of the holiday, the cafe will be closed for almost two weeks to allow the staff to spent time with their family members. Anyway, even if the cafe was open for business after a few days, Li Qin Yao was worried that they were not going to make much profit. These days, the streets were not as crowded as it used to be as most people had taken a few days early vacation to return to their hometown.

Li Qin Yao was sitting at one of the empty seats in her cafe to check at the account when the small bell attached to the door chimed. She looked up and was surprised to see Wei Jun Hao.

"Ah, Mrs. Zhang, I was looking for you," Wei Jun Hao said. He pulled at the empty chair across Li Qin Yao and sit down.

Li Qin Yao felt the corner of her mouth started to twitch as she watched this man took a seat uninvited. She then waved at one of the waitresses to come over. "Mr. Wei, what would you like to have?" she asked Wei Jun Hao.

"The usual," Wei Jun Hao smiled. He turned to the approaching waitress and said, "Americano and Chicken Sandwich, please."

Li Qin Yao nodded to the waitress and watched as she walked away. Then, she turned to Wei Jun Hao and asked, "Why are you looking for me?"

"Right!" Wei Jun Hao slapped his thɨġh and turned to search for something in his bag pack. He then took out an A4 size envelope and slid it across the table. "Mrs. Zhang, please tell me that you are satisfied with this. I want to finish this job before the holiday start."

Li Qin Yao took out the documents and a frown appeared on her face when she read the title of the documents. It was the property transfer agreement.

Previously, after the wedding, Wei Jun Hao had come over to her and presented the documents to her. It was then that Li Qin Yao heard her husband's intention to transfer his property to her hand as her wedding gift. After browsing through a few documents, Li Qin Yao thought that what Zhang Yu Han planned to give her was too much.

In the end, Li Qin Yao had asked Wei Jun Hao to make some amendments and took out some of them.

Although she was Zhang Yu Han's legal wife, she did not want the others to think that she was a gold-digger and was after her husband's wealth. Anyway, even without her husband's gift, Li Qin Yao had suddenly turned to a rich lady after her mother and paternal grandparents had given her some dowry.

A cup of Americano soon arrived, but Li Qin Yao had not said anything.

Wei Jun Hao took a sip at his coffee and frowned. "Mrs. Zhang, please don't tell me that you plan to let me make another adjustment?" Wei Jun Hao could not help but think of how tiring it was to work for this husband and wife.

Seconds later, Li Qin Yao looked up and smiled. "I looked through the documents, and it is fine."

Wei Jun Hao's eyes sparkled at her words. He leaned forward with the pen in his hand and pointed towards a blank space. "Then Mrs. Zhang, you only need to sign here."

Li Qin Yao then jotted down her signature and watched as Wei Jun Hao's expression grew brighter.

Once Li Qin Yao had jotted down the last signature, Wei Jun Hao quickly retrieved the files and kept them in his bag. He then put the bag pack on his ŀȧps and hugged it tightly as if he was going to protect it with his life.

The two of them looked up as the waitress came back with Wei Jun Hao's portion of Chicken Sandwich. Wei Jun Hao then picked a fries and put it in his mouth.

Li Qin Yao took a swig at her drink and saw the strange way Wei Jun Hao was looking at her, Li Qin Yao then raised a brow. "Is there something else?"

"I'm glad you ask," Wei Jun Hao smiled. "Mrs. Zhang! Sister-in-law, I need your help."

Li Qin Yao almost spilled her drinks after hearing Wei Jun Hao addressed her as sister-in-law. "Why did you suddenly call me as sister-in-law?" Her eyes widened as she stared back at Wei Jun Hao.

"Don't be like this. Sooner or later, we will be a family," Wei Jun Hao spoke shamelessly. "You should know that I am now trying to court Yu Ying, right?"

Li Qin Yao thought of her sister-in-law and shrugged noncommittally. "I may have heard something."

Previously, she had asked her husband regarding this matter, and Zhang Yu Han had said that he did not want to interfere in this matter as the two parties involved were the people she was closed with.

"Let me tell you something," Wei Jun Hao said. "Previously, Yu Ying had agreed to date me."

Li Qin Yao was surprised upon hearing this news. After all, both Zhang Yu Han and Zhang Yu Ying had not said anything regarding this matter. "Good for you. Should I congratulate you then?"

The corner of Wei Jun Hao's lips twitched slightly. "Here's where you can help me, sister-in-law. Although Yu Ying had agreed to date me, she had also put some condition."

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao had a premonition. "What condition?"

"She said that she will go out with me if I win a basketball match against her brother. The thing is, I have never won a match against Zhang Yu Han."

Li Qin Yao raised her glass of water. "Well then, good luck to you."

"I have decided to challenge him for a match later. And this is where your role comes in," Wei Jun Hao leaned forward and smiled. "Sister-in-law, be on my team during the match and you should help me to distract your husband from scoring a shoot."

Li Qin Yao stared at his face for a long time and answered, "I can't."

"Why not?"

"Do you believe that Zhang Yu Han will kill you if he found out that you asked me to play basketball and join your team?" Li Qin Yao said. "Anyway, I am in no condition to help you."

Wei Jun Hao took a deep breath. "Sister-in-law, do you know when is my birthday?"

Li Qin Yao was reminded of the last time her cafe had provided some food for Wei Jun Hao's birthday party. "Somewhere in May?"

Wei Jun Hao clicked his tongue. "Wrong. It's in March. The last time I asked your cafe to cater food for that party, it was not my birthday party. You know that your husband had his eyes on you for years, right?"

Li Qin Yao felt her face heating up at hearing his words. Then, she nodded.

"That day, I hosted a party to let the two of you meet," Wei Jun Hao confessed. "In a way, you can say that I am the person who helped you and your husband to get together."

A thought crossed her mind, and Li Qin Yao suddenly recalled the way Wei Jun Hao's staff were acting when she had tried to explain the menu to them. It was until Zhang Yu Han had appeared that everyone suddenly excelled at their menu knowledge.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao was wondering what else did her husband and the people around him had done to help him win her...
