Chapter 352 - What Happened to Their Brotherhood?

When the couple arrived at the hospital this time, Qi Zheng had returned to greet them at the entrance. The man in the white lab coat gave them a professional smile as he looked at Li Qin Yao and his gaze stopped at her stomach.

"It seemed that your stomach has grown so much since the last time I saw you," Qi Zheng said.

Zhang Yu Han frowned as he heard his friend's words. His embrace on her shoulder tightened and he pulled his wife closer to his body. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Qi Zheng.

Qi Zheng raised both hands and heaved a sigh. "Alright. I won't say too much. Come on. I'll lead you to Doctor Qiao's room."

Li Qin Yao laughed as she watched the two's exchange and soon, the couple followed Qi Zheng into the elevator.

Once they arrived in the office, a nurse came to serve them some drinks before she called Li Qin Yao into the smaller room at the side.

While Li Qin Yao went over with a nurse to do some a routine check up, Zhang Yu Han sat at the lounge with Qi Zheng accompanying him. As his wife entered the room, Zhang Yu Han turned to his friend and raised a brow.

Qi Zheng did not have to hear the question to know that Zhang Yu Han was curious to know the progress about Qi Ming Wei's matters.

Previously, to help Li Qin Yao and pull out the person who had helped Zhao Wei, Qi Ming Wei had done something that caused a power shift in Capital City. Since Qi Ming Wei's people had taken over the power in Capital City, there were others who suddenly show their interest in Capital City as well. Since then, Qi Ming Wei had met a few troubles.

"You don't have to worry about it," Qi Zheng said. His tone lowered as he spoke. "He said the matters are resolved. There should be no problem."

Zhang Yu Han heaved a sigh of relief. 

Although Qi family had helped his wife to gain power over Capital City, it was also because of his wife's matter that dragged them into this new problem. As both Li Qin Yao's husband and a grandson to his grandmother, Zhang Yu Han naturally wanted to do whatever he can to help them.

Qi Zheng then leaned closer before he whispered some details to Zhang Yu Han.

When Li Qin Yao stepped out of the room, she was greeted by the sight of the two men, sitting closer and whispering to each other.

Zhang Yu Han immediately noticed that someone was looking at him. He turned around and stood up abruptly even when Qi Zheng did not finish what he was saying. He walked over to his wife and placed a hand on her stomach. "Is everything alright?"

What happened to their brotherhood?

"Let's wait for the doctor's result," Li Qin Yao said. Anyway, this time, she was too worried about her sugar level. Although Zhang Yu Han had helped to monitor her diet, there are times when she caved in to her cravings. 

Zhang Yu Han held her hands tightly in his and he led her to sit down at the sofa. 

"I wasn't disturbing your conversation with Qi Zheng, am I?" Li Qin Yao asked as she saw the look on Qi Zheng's face. 

"Of course not," Zhang Yu Han replied quickly. He turned to Qi Zheng with a warning gaze and continued, "We were just chatting about some stuff."

Knowing that his friend did not want his wife to know about the details of their conversation, Qi Zheng can only nod and smile. 

Soon, Doctor Qiao walked into the room and greeted the three of them. She browsed through a few documents and called Li Qin Yao to lay down so that she can begin the procedure.

As usual, Doctor Qiao began to explain what she was going to do and chatted casually with Li Qin Yao. The scanning procedure soon started and Doctor Qiao moved the instrument in her hand around Li Qin Yao's stomach area.

After a while, Doctor Qiao paused and the corner of her lips tilted up into a smile. She looked at the couple and raised a brow. "Do you want to know the gender of your baby?"

Zhang Yu Han stared at the monitor, but was not able to understand much about what he was seeing, except for which part was the child's head, and which part was the legs. He then shifted his gaze to look at his wife and felt her gentle squeeze on his hand.

Previously, the two of them had discussed and Li Qin Yao had mentioned that she wanted to know the baby's gender as it will be easier for them to shop for their baby's stuff.

"We would like to know," Zhang Yu Han said.

The smile on Doctor Qiao's face widened. She began to move the instruments again and pointed her finger to the screen, explaining to the couple of what they were watching on the screen.

"Looking at the scan, it's a girl," Doctor Qiao said. 

Li Qin Yao turned to her husband with an excited look on her face. Her hand squeezed her husband's tightly. Previously, she had casually mentioned to Zhang Yu Han that she wanted to have a girl after she had seen how the girl's outfit and stuff.

And now, Doctor Qiao had mentioned that they will be having a girl, of course Li Qin Yao was elated. Now that they have learned of the baby's gender, Li Qin Yao was planning on going for a shopping spree.

Because she was too excited, Li Qin Yao was starting to forget that she was going to wait for an important result…

A nurse walked in again after the scanning procedure was done. She left a documents on the table and retreated immediately. 

It was only while watching how Doctor Qiao was browsing through the report that Li Qin Yao recalled that she was waiting for her blood test result. Suddenly, her hand started to sweat. 

Doctor Qiao began with explaining to the couple on the mother's condition and then to the baby's developments. 

"Doctor Qiao," Zhang Yu Han called when the doctor was done. "What about my wife's glucose level. The last time, you did mention that it was slightly high."

"Hmm," Doctor Qiao began to consult the report again. After a while, she looked at the couple with a smile on her face. "The reports here showed that everything is normal. If your wife can maintain her glucose level like this, there won't be problem with your wife and your baby."
