Chapter 366 - You're Already Someone's Father

Xu Yilan arrived at the hospital with Zhang Jing and Auntie Wu sometimes around the afternoon.

Because her daughter had given birth early that morning, Xu Yilan had accepted Zhang Jing's invitation to crash over their place for a night. That way, Xu Yilan did not have to go back and forth to B City to rest.

When the three elders entered the room, they immediately went to huddle around the little princess. Zhang Jing sat down on the sofa, and his grandson passed the baby into his embrace. Looking at the baby's face, Zhang Jing's expression became softer and he could not stop smiling. 

He now had a great-granddaughter and he was so happy and proud of it. How many people around his age could brag about carrying a great-grandchild in their arms? At the thought that he can brag about this to his brother-in-law, Qi Xi Feng, Zhang Jing was happy. That man was two years older than him, but his grandsons had not brought home a granddaughter-in-law for him to see. Meanwhile, he was now someone with a great-granddaughter.

Xu Yilan watched her granddaughter for a while before she walked over to her daughter.

"Ma, when did you arrive?" Li Qin Yao asked.

"I came the moment Yu Han told me you're in labor," Xu Yilan said. She turned her head to her look at her son-in-law who was sitting beside his grandfather and smiled. "Yu Han sent someone to fetch me from B City."

Li Qin Yao followed her mother's gaze and sighed. Perhaps, this was why her mother treated her husband very well. It was because Zhang Yu Han treated her mother good as well.

"How are you feeling?" Xu Yilan asked as she gave her daughter a lookover. Seeing that her daughter look well, Xu Yilan heaved a sigh in relief.

"It feels strange that I have given birth to a child," Li Qin Yao said. 

Xu Yilan laughed at her daughter's words. "You did a great job giving birth to a daughter. Yao Yao, I am so proud of you." She squeezed at her daughter's shoulder and leaned to kiss her head. 

Hearing her mother's words, Li Qin Yao felt her eyes and nose started to sting. As she felt her tears threatened to drop, her mother had leaned towards her and messed up with her hair. She was touched at her mother's words, but her mother had ruined the moment.

"Are you hungry?" Xu Yilan asked. "I made some soup for you."

Auntie Wu, who was at the side brought the soup thermos forward and placed it on the table. "Your mother went into the kitchen the moment she woke up to cook the soup for you."

Li Qin Yao watched as her mother poured the soup on the bowl and listened to the two women telling her that this soup would help to nourish her health as well as to help with brėȧst milk production. She drank the soup slowly and finished it even though it tasted a bit bland.

After a while, the little princess who was in her great-grandfather's arms started to cry.

Hearing the baby's cry for the first time, Zhang Jing tried to coax the baby before he passed her to his grandson. Zhang Yu Han then handed the baby to his wife and he pulled the curtains to let his wife fed their daughter peacefully.

Li Qin Yao was allowed to leave the hospital the next morning and the couple went back to their house.

Auntie Su was going to stay with them during his wife's confinement period. Therefore, Zhang Yu Han was not to worry too much. Moreover, Xu Yilan had decided to take a week off to look after her daughter and granddaughter.

Zhang Xi and Liu Hui Lan arrived at the couple house in the evening along with Zhang Yu Ying and Wei Jun Hao. They went back to the residence to change their clothes and went straight to their son's house to look at their grandchild. Fortunately, the house was not that far. They brought along a few things from Country C for their granddaughter and just like that, more baby stuff filled their house.

The moment the couple arrived, they immediately went to look at their granddaughter who was sleeping. Hearing that little commotion in the house, the little princess opened her eyes to look at her grandparents. There was a little crease between her eyebrow as she stared at them in silence. 

Liu Hui Lan heaved a long sigh upon seeing how their granddaughter acted. "Why do I feel like you have your father's personality?" She carried the baby to her husband and spoke. "You look at the way she stared at people. Isn't it the same as Yu Han?"

"Don't speak nonsense," Zhang Xi clicked his tongue. "Isn't it too sad for her to have a personality like her father?"

Zhang Yu Han, who happen to hear his parents' conversation had his face turned darker. "What's wrong with my personality?"

"It's not that there is something wrong with your personality," Liu Hui Lan said. "I'm just saying a girl should have a bubbly personality like Qin Yao or Yu Ying."

"Having a bright and bubbly personality like Qin Yao is alright, but I don't wish my daughter to be like Yu Ying," Zhang Yu Han said.

Zhang Yu Ying stood up to look at her brother. "What's wrong with my personality?"

"You can be an airhead sometimes."

"What's wrong with being an airhead?"

"Alright, you two," Zhang Xi stood between his children when he sensed that the siblings were about to start their quarrel. He turned to his son and frowned. "You're already someone's father. Why do you want to quarrel with your sister?"

Zhang Yu Ying clicked her tongue and turned her head away from her brother while muttering a few cursing words towards her brother. 

Seeing that his girlfriend was upset, Wei Jun Hao went over and put his arms around her shoulder. "Don't mind your brother." He leaned closer and whispered. "I like that you can be a little ditzy. This is what makes you adorable."

Zhang Yu Ying stared back at Wei Jun Hao with her eyes wide. Although she was getting used to Wei Jun Hao's flirting, she still found it awkward to act like this around her parents.

However, their little exchanged did not escape both Zhang Xi and Liu Hui Lan's gaze.

"The two of you have known each other for years, when do you plan to get married?" Liu Hui Lan teased.

Wei Jun Hao's eyes sparkled at hearing this question. He had seen his friend's blissful married life and now, he had a cute little daughter. Of course, Wei Jun Hao was jealous!

"Auntie, I would marry Yu Ying the moment she agreed."

Zhang Yu Ying's face turned red. She pinched at Wei Jun Hao's waist and said, "Who said I was going to marry you?"

"Then, are you planning to marry someone else?" Wei Jun Hao grabbed at Zhang Yu Ying's arms before the girl tried to escape. "Yu Ying, let's discuss this, alright?
