Chapter 367 - Truly Her Father's Daughter

Li Mu Chen tossed her hair as she walked up the stairs and entered the private room. Ignoring the men who gathered around her the moment she entered, Li Mu Chen then walked further inside and sat down once she found the person she was looking for. 

Shan Zi glanced at the female companion beside him and waved his hands the moment he saw Li Mu Chen. He called the waiter to come and bring more drinks for him before he scooted closer to Li Mu Chen.

"I haven't seen you for so long," Shan Zi spoke as he flashed her a flirtatious smile. He passed her a glass of drinks and spoke again. "Where have you been?"

Li Mu Chen took a sip from the drink and huffed.

"Didn't you say you were going to play a prank with your cousin? What is it?" Shan Zi tilted his head sideways. "You changed your mind?"

"Of course not," Li Mu Chen scoffed. She turned to Shan Zi and spoke, "I went out to accompany my grandmother to travel around. Why? You missed me?"

Shan Zi laughed and played with a few strands with Li Mu Chen's hair. "Of course I missed you. You should have called."

The truth was that Li Mu Chen was unable to leave her grandparents' residence after she argued with her brother. Being as annoying as he was, Li Mu Bai was suspecting that his sister was up to no good and he had always been around her as if to guard her. Li Mu Chen did not dare to take out her phone and contact anyone with her brother's presence.

It was only today that she dared to go out again. Her brother and grandparents had gone out to Y City to attend Li Qin Yao's daughter's full moon party and Li Mu Chen had taken this chance to come out and meet Shan Zi and discuss their plan.

When she thought of everyone's expression after they heard that her cousin, Yao Yao had given birth to a daughter, Li Mu Chen was seething with anger. 

Yao Yao had only given birth to a daughter. So, what was the big deal about it? Why does everyone have to be happy about it? Why wasn't anyone concern with her pitiful life? Her cousin, Yao Yao was surrounded by people who loved her.

But what about Li Mu Chen? Her mother was no longer by her side and she was abandoned by her father and brother.

"Sorry. You're right. I should have called." Li Mu Chen ran her finger on the man's ċhėst. She looked at Shan Zi and batted her eyes. "Will you still help me?"

Shan Zi leaned to kiss her lips as he ran his hand on her thɨġh. Their kiss broke after a while and Shan Zi had a joyous smile on his face. "You know that I would do anything for you."

Li Mu Chen had a smile on her face, but her heart with screaming with annoyance at this man. If it was not for the money and other benefits she offered, would he still dare to say these words?

"So, what are you planning to do?" Shan Zi asked as he looked at her lazily.

Li Mu Chen thought about the last time she saw Liang Sheng at the headquarters. It was then that she knew why Liang Sheng had stopped showing up at her grandparents' place. Now that Liang Sheng had no longer visit Li's residence, of course, Li Mu Chen will have to devise her plan.

On the day of the little princess' one-month celebration, she was swaddled in pink clothes as she was carried in her grandmother, Xu Yilan embrace. The little girl had her eyes opened as she looked around curiously without making a sound. The space between her brow creased. No matter how much the others had tried to stop this habit, they were unable to do anything about it. 

Not too long ago, Li Qin Yao had taken a picture of the father and daughter frowning face and had laughed at the similarities. The little princess was truly her father's daughter.

As the little princess grew up, her feature began to show and it could be said that she inherited her parent's good look. Her eyes, brows, and lips resembled her father while her face shape was definitely inherited from her mother.

On that day, their family and friends had come over to the couple's house to look at the child. 

Li Ren Xin and Mu Ling Xi gathered around their great-granddaughter and their happy expression was obvious. The elders gave her a big red packet and an expensive gold bangle.

Li Qin Yao came out from her room and walked over to greet their guests.

Li Mu Bai walked over to his cousin and smiled. "Congratulations." 

"You're here," Li Qin Yao spoke. "President Li, is it alright with you and Chairman to leave the company to attend my daughter's full moon celebration?"

"Don't worry. Li Ming Han is still around to look at the company with our absence."

Li Qin Yao chuckled. Previously, Li Ming Han had called to say that he was not able to attend her daughter's full moon celebration as his wife was unwell. Therefore, Li Mu Bai then left the company to him for a couple of days as he accompanied his grandparents to Y City.

Li Mu Bai glanced at the direction where the baby is and asked, "What is her name?"

"Zhang Li Xue."

The little princess had sensed her mother's presence long ago when she walked down the stairs. The frown on her face quickly disappeared and she started to kick her feet around in excitement. After moving around and seeing that her mother did not come towards her, the little Princess began to pout and cry. 

Hearing her cry, Li Qin Yao did not continue to talk to her cousin and immediately go to check on her daughter. It was only when the baby was in her mother's embrace that she stopped. Seeing the serene look on her granddaughter's face, Xu Yilan heaved a sigh.

Xu Yilan had taken a long break to look after her daughter and granddaughter. After a while, she had begun to notice that her granddaughter would always wear that frown on her face when she looked around, unless if she was in her mother's embrace.

As the thought crossed her mind, Xu Yilan glanced at her son-in-law who was entertaining his friends and caught the way he had a frown on his face. 

Seeing that his daughter had cried, Zhang Yu Han left his friends and walked over to his wife and daughter. The moment he stood beside Li Qin Yao, that slight frown on his face too disappeared.

Looking at this situation, Xu Yilan did not know whether to laugh or cry.

Both father and daughter would only relax around Li Qin Yao's presence.

Suddenly, Xu Yilan could see that the father and daughter fighting for the mother's attention in the future and thought that it would be an interesting scene to see.
