Chapter 379 - Liang Sheng Finally Decided to Speak

Once the thought appeared in his mind, it was hard for him to dismiss it. After thinking about it for a long time, Liang Sheng finally decided to speak out about it. 

"Chairman Li," Liang Sheng stood up straight as he walked over to the old man. "I have something to report."

Li Ren Xin waved his hand to allow him to speak. As he continued to listen to what Liang Sheng had said, everyone's expression began to change. Though they did not know what happened, everyone had the same thought in their head—someone did something to Liang Sheng and had changed the details of the documents.

"When did this happen?" Qi Ming Wei asked. Once he got an answer from Liang Sheng, Qi Ming Wei then turned to his subordinate and signaled them to begin their investigation. 

At this time, Song Yi suddenly stood up and told Han Yue Xiu that they should leave to catch a flight to Capital City.

"If you wanted to leave, then you should go by yourself," Han Yue Xiu spoke. "My friend is in trouble. I won't leave her side now."

"Don't you want to do something to help your friend?" Song Yi asked. "Come with me to Capital City and help me to look at the airport's surveillance camera. Instead of staying around, it would be better to do something."

Han Yue Xiu stared at the man for a while before something registered in her head. She turned to her friend and spoke, "Yao Yao! I'm leaving with Song Yi."

"Alright. Thank you for coming, Yue Xiu." Li Qin Yao nodded. At this time, she did not have much time to think of anything else. There were too many things in her head that she did not ask why Han Yue Xiu had suddenly decided to leave.

Han Yue Xiu pulled her friend into a hug and patted her shoulder. "We'll help you to look into matters in Capital City. You just wait here for our news, alright?"

Li Qin Yao stared at Han Yue Xiu with her eyes wide. "What are you going to do?"

"Don't worry about it," Han Yue Xiu waved her hand. "Just wait for our news."

Li Qin Yao watched as her friend left. As soon as Han Yue Xiu left, the doorbell rang again. Zhang Yu Han went to the door and soon, the police showed up. The inspector showed his badge to Zhang Yu Han and spoke. "Is Li Qin Yao here? We need her to visit the station to give her statement."

Li Qin Yao was allowed to walk out of the police station after she had given her statement. Just as she stepped out of the station, a group of journalists immediately surrounded her. 

The camera flashed everywhere and questions kept on coming that she did not know which one to hear first. Li Qin Yao lifted a hand to cover her face and frowned as the light was blinding her.

The voices of accusations echoed. At this time, I Qin Yao felt as if she had returned to three years ago. Everything was almost the same. The others did not care about whether she was guilty or not, they just wanted someone they can blame for the incident.

Not far away from her, someone began to throw curses and rotten food. Just before an egg was about to hit her face, a shadow loomed over her and blocked her from the egg.

A familiar scent filled her nostril and Li Qin Yao did not have to look up to see that it was her husband. 

"Why did you come out? You should have wait for me," Zhang Yu Han's deep voice could be heard. 

"Sorry. It was too stuffy inside." Li Qin Yao closed her eyes and breathed in. Hearing his deep voice made her feel more at ease.

Earlier, she had wanted to wait for him inside the station, but as she was facing the accusation gaze from the officers, Li Qin Yao began to feel uneasy. She found it hard to breathe and knew that if she did not get out, her condition would only get worst.

Zhang Yu Han noticed her pale complexion and hugged her tightly. "Hey, calm down. Don't think of anything and just listen to my voice, alright?"

Li Qin Yao nodded slowly. She gripped at his trench coat tightly as he continued to block her from everyone else.

Fortunately, Li Qin Yao was small enough to hide in his husband's embrace. As he wrapped his arms around her body, the voices all around her began to fade away as well. All she could hear right now was Zhang Yu Han's words, convincing her that everything will be alright.

"Can you walk?" Zhang Yu Han asked a few seconds later.

"Yes."

"Then, let's go home. Don't worry. I will protect you." Zhang Yu Han said. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and protected her from the others. 

Li Qin Yao peeked from his arms and saw that Wei Jun Hao and a few others were at the scene as well. Wei Jun Hao spoke something towards the reporters and they finally stopped taking pictures and asking questions. At the side, the police had apprehended a few people who had thrown those rotten vegetables at her earlier.

It was not hard to know that Wei Jun Hao had threatened to bring them to court if they continue to harass her.

Looking at everyone who continued to be on her side and protected her, Li Qin Yao felt something warm enveloping her heart and spreading throughout her body.

Li Mu Chen could not stop smiling upon reading the news and what the netizen was saying about her cousin. Looking at the way the others were cursing at Li Qin Yao brought joy to her. Li Mu Chen had not been this happy for a long time!

A laugh escaped her as she scrolled her phone and saw her cousin's pathetic expression as someone threw a tomato at her. Unfortunately, the tomato only hit her on her arms. If it had hit Li Qin Yao on her face, Li Mu Chen would be happier.

Taking a deep breath to calm down, Li Mu Chen threw her phone into her handbag before she applied her lipstick. Satisfied with how she looked, Li Mu Chen went out of her room and planned to visit Shan Zi and celebrate.

She walked downstairs and froze when she saw her brother sitting on the sofa.

"What are you doing here?" Li Mu Chen asked. "I thought you went to Y City with Grandfather."

"I changed my mind and stayed. Someone needs to look after the company," Li Mu Bai said. He gave his sister a look over and raised a brow. "Where are you going? It's late."

"I'm going to meet a few friends."

Li Mu Bai stood up. "Then let's go together. We haven't hung out together for a long time."

Her expression changed. "Why do you want to hang out with me? Don't joke around. My circle of friends and yours are different." Li Mu Chen then hurriedly walked over to the door and escape as soon as she finished her words.

A few days ago, Li Mu Bai had planned to go to Y City with his grandfather once they both heard the news of the accident.

However, just before they left, Li Mu Bai had looked up and had saw his sister on the second floor. Noticing the strange smile on his sister's face., Li Mu Bai could not shake off the feeling that Li Mu Chen was involved in the accident in Y City. Thus, he had made his decision to stay and monitor her movement.

Li Mu Bai took a deep breath and took out her phone. He called a number and spoke, "Li Mu Chen went out. Don't lose her. I want to know who she meets up with."
