Chapter 390 - Good at Making Her Mother Happy

Zhang Yu Han was deep in his thought after the call with Qi Ming Wei ended.

After discussing for a long time, both of them were convinced that the person who might be helping Li Mu Chen might be the same person who was going against Qi Ming Wei.

Most people were aware that Qi Ming Wei had expanded his influence and power in Capital City, thus, making him standing under the bright light. While others and people like Z were plotting to bring Qi Ming Wei down from the dark. 

Fighting against a hidden enemy was definitely not easy.

However, even though they had a hunch that their guesses were correct, they still needed to investigate and verify the truth. Before Qi Ming Wei ended his call, he had told him that he will start his investigation from Li Mu Chen.

Zhang Yu Han continued to be deep in thought as he was thinking of his family. Because of this situation, it seemed that his family would be in danger. Until Qi Ming Wei successfully wiped out this dangerous person, they could not lower their guard even for a moment.

It seemed that he will need to discuss this matter with his grandfather and ask for his opinion.

Zhang Yu Han finally snapped out of his thought when a series of knock was heard on his door.

The door swung open even when he did not say a thing. His expression grew dark at the thought that his ȧssistant had entered the room without his permission.

However, his stern expression softened as he saw his wife walked in with his daughter in her arms. He gathered the accounting book on his table and put it away in the drawer. Then he stood up and walked over to them. 

His lips touched his wife's forehead before he asked, "Why are you here?" He lowered his gaze to the little princess and took her from her mother's arms. "Li Xue is getting heavier these days. Let me carry her."

Li Qin Yao laughed as she watched how her daughter kicked her legs around as she was being lifted by her father. Zhang Yu Han started to kiss the princess's chubby cheek, causing a frown to appear on her face.

"Aren't we going for dinner with everyone later?" Li Qin Yao glanced at his table and saw a few documents on his table. "You were too busy that you have forgotten?"

"Hmm." Zhang Yu Han looked out the window and noticed that the sky will turn dark soon. "I didn't realize that it was this late."

He did not think that he would spend too much time discussing with Qi Ming Wei and thinking about it. As his conversation with Qi Ming Wei came to his mind, Zhang Yu Han turned his head to look at his wife again. Noticing her expression, Zhang Yu Han guessed that his wife had heard about what happened to her cousin.

"What's wrong?" He pretended that he did not know a thing.

Li Qin Yao lowered her head and leaned on his ċhėst. Unfortunately, it was not easy to get a space as the little princess was also in his arms.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao felt his arms wrapping around her shoulder and pulling her closer to him. Looking at her daughter's buŧŧ of diapers next to her face, Li Qin Yao did not know whether to laugh or cry. At this time, she thought that her short height was definitely a disadvantage!

"Let's put Li Xue in her stroller first," Li Qin Yao suggested. She pushed the stroller and watched as Zhang Yu Han placed their daughter on it. 

The little girl started to kick around and her mouth won't stop chattering as if to complain as she did not like sitting in the stroller.

Li Qin Yao took out her favorite toy from her bag and handed it over to her daughter. "Li Xue, just let me have a moment with your daddy, alright?"

Zhang Li Xue stared at her mother and grabbed her toy. She started to wave it around and played with it silently. Anyway, she had sensed that something was wrong with her mother's mood and knew that her father was really good at making her mother happy again.

Once her mother's mood was better, then, she can accompany her to play for hours. At this thought, Zhang Li Xue sat in her stroller silently with her favorite toy.

Zhang Yu Han was startled for a few seconds as his wife lunged into his embrace. "What's wrong?" his deep voice softened as he patted her softly on her back.

"Zhang Yu Han."

"Hmm?"

"I got a phone call from Li Ming Han today."

Zhang Yu Han knew right away that his wife was upset upon hearing the news about her cousin. Someone from the prison might have called the family and informed them of what had happened to Li Mu Chen.

"Li Ming Han said that Li Mu Chen provoked her in-mates and later she was beaten badly by them."

A frown appeared on Zhang Yu Han's face as he thought of his conversation with Qi Ming Wei.

"Li Mu Chen... she is now in a coma. It seemed that her condition was quite bad," she continued. Li Qin Yao could not describe her feeling as he listened to the news. Although Li Mu Chen had done a lot of bad things to her, Li Qin Yao never wanted something like this to happen to her cousin.

Zhang Yu Han did not say anything and continued to hug his wife, comforting her. "Do you want to go to Capital City? I'll take a few days off and accompany you."

Li Qin Yao pulled away slightly and stared at her husband's handsome face.

"You're worried about your grandparents right?"

Li Qin Yao nodded. 

Her paternal grandparents were old and they had to face more shocking news at their age. She was worried about her grandparents' health upon hearing what had happened to Li Mu Chen. Moreover, Li Qin Yao was also worried about Li Mu Bai.

Although his sister had done a lot of bad things, Li Mu Bai cared about his sister a lot. Li Mu Chen was the only one who would think that her brother had abandoned her.

"I'll ask Secretary Tian to book ticket flights for us tomorrow."

Li Qin Yao hesitated. "Will it be alright? Zhang Yu Han, you take a lot of days off to accompany me."

"It's fine," Zhang Yu Han patted her on the head. "Anyway, I have a few matters to settle in Capital City and look at the hotel there." His lips curled into a smile. "If you feel bad about it, how about giving me a kiss?"
