Following their weekly tradition, Li Qin Yao went out with dinner with Zhang Jing and the rest. Wei Jun Hao has been joining their weekly dinner ever since he has been dating Zhang Yu Ying.
Looking at the couple on his right and left, Zhang Jing turned his attention to the little princess in the stroller. He played around with Zhang Li Xue for a while until the waiter came back with their dishes.
Zhang Jing's eyes caught his favorite spare ribs in front of him, and his eyes glistered. As the people on his right and left were busy with each other, Zhang Jing clipped on a piece of the ribs with his chopstick and ate nonchalantly. When he looked up again, his great-granddaughter was in her mother's ŀȧps and she was staring at him with her eyes wide.
For a few seconds, Zhang Jing was stunned. It felt as if he was caught doing something bad.
At this time, Li Qin Yao took out the small container from her bag along with a small pink spoon. Then, Zhang Yu Han took the container from his wife and dug a small portion of pureed broccoli for her daughter.
Zhang Li Xue stared at the green mushy things and frowned. Before she could push it away from her, Zhang Yu Han had quickly retracted his hand to avoid her in time.
"Zhang Li Xue," her father gave her a reprimanding tone.
The little princess was startled upon hearing her father's voice. She started to frown and her little mouth pouted.
Her gaze went back towards the puree on the spoon. She had tried the mushy green things before and found that it doesn't taste very good as compared to the other food. Her eyes moved to look at her great-grandfather and saw that he was clipping another piece of spare ribs.
Suddenly, Zhang Li Xue made a chattering noise, attracting everyone's attention. Everyone followed the little girl's gaze and found that she was staring at her great-grandfather who was in the middle of biting at the spare ribs.
"Grandfather, how many pieces have you eaten?" Zhang Yu Han asked. His face darkened upon counting the bones on the plate.
Zhang Jing took a bite on that spare ribs first before his grandson would snatch the one in his hand. Then, he looked at the little princess who had betrayed him.
Before he could say a word, the rotating table turned and a plate of gai lan in oyster sauce appeared before him.
"You're setting a bad example to your great-granddaughter," Zhang Yu Han said. He raised the container in his hand and spoke again, "You see, Li Xue had refused to eat her vegetables because of your influence."
Upon hearing his grandson's words, Zhang Jing peered into the small container and saw that that mushy green food was not eaten yet. Just looking at the food makes him lose his appetite.
However, why was he blamed? The little princess was slightly over six months, how could he influence her with food?
At the thought that his great-granddaughter was still small and could not eat anything other than mushy things, Zhang Jing shot a pitiful look at Zhang Li Xue. Then, he made a vow to himself to take the little girl to eat a lot of delicious things when she was old enough to eat.
With a sigh, Zhang Jing clipped on the gai lan and lifted it as if to show to Li Xue that he was eating his vegetables.
"You see, great-grandfather eats his greens. Li Xue, you should eat yours too," Li Qin Yao spoke.
Zhang Li Xue looked at her mother's expecting gaze. Hearing her mother's soothing voice coaxing her to eat, Zhang Li Xue opened her mouth to eat her food.
Seeing the happy smile on her mother's face, Zhang Li Xue started to move her arms and legs and let out a happy laugh.
It turned out that she can make her mother happy when she was obedient. Perhaps when she grew up, she wouldn't need her father's help to coax her mother.
The family had their dinner happily in peace. As they were waiting for dessert, Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Ying went to the restroom with Wei Jun Hao accompanying them.
Seeing that he was left with his grandfather and daughter, Zhang Yu Han took the opportunity to consult his grandfather regarding what he had discussed with Qi Ming Wei previously.
Zhang Jing's expression darkened. Though he was briefed of the situation, Zhang Jing could see that the situation would be troublesome if Qi Ming Wei did not work fast.
"I will go and talk to your granduncle and discuss this matter," Zhang Jing said.
"Alright," Zhang Yu Han nodded.
There was a long silence before Zhang Jing spoke again. "Yu Han, regarding this matter, I think you should tell your wife. She is a part of our family and she should know a little bit about the Qi family business. Although she would worry, at least she would be better prepared for the upcoming trouble. If what you and Ming Wei thought was the truth, then it would not impossible for that man to start targeting our family."
Zhang Yu Han thought over the matter and wonder how he was supposed to talk to Li Qin Yao regarding this matter.
Once the trio returned into the room, both Zhang Jing and Zhang Yu Han's expression went back to normal.
The two men exchanged a glance and knew that they should continue their discussion later.
…
After coaxing his daughter to sleep, Zhang Yu Han went over to the bedroom and found that his wife was packing up luggage as they were heading to Capital City.
As he peered into the luggage, Zhang Yu Han noticed that most of the items belonged to their daughter. They were staying in Capital City for a couple of days, but it seemed that the luggage was mostly filled with her clothes.
As he thought over his grandfather's words, Zhang Yu Han hesitated for a moment. He knew that his wife would worry once he told her what was going on with the Qi's family. However, what worried him the most was that his wife would blame herself for all the trouble.
At this time, Li Qin Yao lifted her head. As their gaze met, a bright smile appeared on her face.
Zhang Yu Han went over to her side and helped to grab her daughter's clothes on the bed. He sat down on the carpeted floor beside her and stared on her face for a long time.
Noticing that her husband had been staring at her face for a long time, Li Qin Yao put her palm on her cheek and her mischievous smile appeared. "What is it? Is your wife very pretty?"
A chuckled escaped him. "Un. Very pretty." He watched her giggling shyly and stretched his hand to pat her head.
"What's wrong?" Li Qin Yao pressed her finger on the space between his brow.
Why was it that the father and daughter love frowning too much?
"You don't look too good since I came over to your office." Seeing that his frown had disappeared, Li Qin Yao traced her finger down to his nose placed her hand on his cheek. Her eyes were looking into his as if searching for something. "What happened? Work trouble?"
"No." He smiled, but it did not reach his eyes. "Qin Yao, I have something to discuss with you."
Her expression grew serious upon hearing his words. "You say."
"You should know a bit about my grandmother's family, right?"
"I don't understand much but…" She nodded. "Un."
Zhang Yu Han was silent for a long time as he thought of the way he should tell her about the Qi and Zhang's relationship.
As he explained Qi Ming Wei's situation, his wife's expression began to change a few times.
