Chapter 433 - Side Story 5: Zhang Li Xue's Little Bodyguards

As the only girl in her generation, Zhang Li Xue was doted by everyone. Whenever she wanted something, all she had to do was to look at the ȧduŀt with her pitiful eyes, and she would always get it.

This was making her mother worried. Although Li Qin Yao loved her daughter and doted on her as well, she was mostly worried that the elders were raising her daughter like a little ancestor. Hence, Li Qin Yao became the most strict to her daughter.

Of course, Zhang Li Xue was very obedient to her mother. Although her father would pamper her, her pitiful gaze would not work against her father when she made her mother upset. No matter what it was, her father would always side with her mother.

As she was the eldest among the cousins, her mother would often asked her to look after the four boys. If one of them get into trouble, the one who will take the blame was Zhang Li Xue. According to her mother, since she was the leader of the pack, she should shoulder the responsibility.

The Wei's triplets were well known for creating mischief. But whenever they were under Zhang Li Xue's watch, they would automatically listened to this elder sister. Although they would often asked to accompany her to practice basketball, the boys were more than happy to do so.

Zhang Li Xue doted on the four boys and they loved her the same.

For the four boys, Zhang Li Xue was considered to be their idol. Whenever they needed something from the ȧduŀts, all they need to do was to look at their elder sister and she will help them to get what they need. Moreover, Zhang Li Xue would always share with them whenever she had something delicious to eat!

However, whenever the cousins were together, it would seem as if Zhang Li Xue was surrounded by her little bodyguards.

During their grandfather's birthday, the family organized a banquet at the hotel. As usual, Zhang Xi would invited his close friend to the banquet. 

When Zhang Li Xue arrived, Mu Zhen Yu, the boy who has been following her since she was three years old immediately greeted her. However, just before he was able to pull the girl to play with him, the four little bodyguards appeared at her side, and sent him a warning gaze.

Mu Zhen Yu stared at the boys. Although he was older than the boys, he had suddenly had the feeling as if he was threatened. For a few seconds, Mu Zhen Yu thought that perhaps he was imagining things. The boys were around three years old! How could they give him, a ten years old a threat?

"Li Xue," Mu Zhen Yu called out the girl and smiled. His hand was stretched towards her, hoping that the girl would take his hand as always before he could pull the girl to play together. "Come on, let's go and play together. My brother is waiting for us over there."

Mu Zhen Yu knew that Zhang Li Xue loved to play with his brother and used him as a bait.

"Sister, didn't you say that you were going to play together with us?" Da Bao, the eldest of the triplets spoke up. 

"Un, Un," Er Bao, the second of the triplets nodded. "Sister, you said you were going to let us eat something delicious." He patted at his slightly bulging stomach and looked at Zhang Li Xue with his pitiful eyes. "I'm hungry. Earlier mom did not allow me to eat too much. She said I'm gaining weight. Sister, do you think I'm gaining too much weight?"

Zhang Li Xue gave Er Bao a look over. "It's fine if you eat a little bit more. You can lose your weight with exercise. I'll take you to play basketball later."

"Sister," Xiao Bao, the youngest of the triplets pulled at Zhang Li Xue's arms. "I saw chicken wings. Let's go and eat together."

Zhang Li Xue's eyes widened at the mentioning of her favorite food. She held Xiao Bao's hand and asked him to lead the way. However, as if realizing that something was wrong, Zhang Li Xue halted and turned to Mu Zhen Yu. "Sorry Brother Zhen Yu. My mom asked me to look after the boys. They were hungry and I have to accompany them to eat."

Mu Zhen Yu stared at the little fairy in front of him with a dazed expression. Seeing the adorable look on Zhang Li Xue's face, he found that he was unable to say a word. When he was able to find his voice again, Zhang Li Xue had left with the triplets. 

He took a deep breath and noticed that one of the boys stood in front of him. Mu Zhen Yu seemed to remember that this boy was Zhang Li Xue's younger brother.

"What's wrong?" Mu Zhen Yu gave the boy an amiable smile. He recalled that Zhang Li Xue doted on her brother, and had thought of wanting to get close with the younger boy. "You are Li Xue's younger brother right? I remember. You are Zhang Yi Hai, right? Do you want to play with me? You have to ask your sister to come along."

"No." Zhang Yi Hai narrowed his eyes as he stared back at the elder boy. Although he had his mother's eyes, the piercing look on his eyes resembled his father more. "I need to tell you to stay away from my sister."

Mu Zhen Yu stared at the boy in a dazed. Zhang Yi Hai's piercing gaze suddenly gave him a shudder. "Huh???" Just as he was able to react, the boy had disappeared among the crowd.

Once Zhang Yi Hai had gave his warning, he walked over through the crowd and found the person he was looking for. He stood up straight in front of his father and waited until the man crouched down to his level.

"Daddy, I told him not to come close to sister," Zhang Yi Hai reported.

"En," Zhang Yu Han nodded. He patted at his son's head and smiled. "I saw. You did a great job."

There were not much change in his expression, but upon closer look, the boy's eyes sparkled brilliantly at hearing his father's praise. Seeing the pair of eyes that was very similar to his wife were staring back at him, Zhang Yu Han could not help but to pull the boy into his embrace.

Zhang Yi Hai's eyes widened for a while. After a brief hesitation, he wrapped his arms around his father's neck. The happiness in his eyes shone very brightly.

After a while, Zhang Yi Hai pulled away. He looked at his father shyly before he ran off to find his sister and the triplets.

Seeing that her son had ran away, Li Qin Yao walked over to her husband and raised a brow. "What did you say to your son? Why does he look so happy?"

"Nothing." Zhang Yu Han's lips curled into a mysterious smile. "Just reminding him to always look after his mother and sister and always make them happy."
