After Shadow disappeared, Noah still remained on alert for a few minutes, worried that Shadow was just waiting a moment to attack.
But as the descendant of Lucifer, the lord of hell, Noah had both the power over the flames of hell and control over it. And because of that he felt that his flames had teleported with Shadow a few miles away, before moving farther away as he disappeared for lack of contact with Noah.
So after 10 minutes of being alert, Noah finally sighed and relaxed.
When site security saw Noah finally relaxing, they too let out sighs of relief, knowing the battle was over.
Without Noah needing to say anything, one of the men ran to Carlos's family hideout and notified everyone.
Carlos, of course, ran outside, worried about Noah, after all, as he had never witnessed a Rank C battle, he was still worried that Noah might be hurt by that battle.
But as he left the mansion, he saw that Noah was intact, just sitting on the grass in the garden surrounded by imps still on alert for the humans around him.
Unbeknownst to Noah, the pressure of a blessed Rank C surrounded by monsters protecting him made none of the security guards brave enough to approach Noah.
After all, even if there were blessed Rank Ds among the security team, the difference between a blessed Rank D and a Rank C was too big to say.
As much as it seems like just one letter in the alphabet when compared to true strength, it's true to say that even 10 blessed Rank D can't handle an ordinary blessed Rank C.
Not even thinking about Noah, that every time he attacked with those claws of fire you could hear a mighty hum before a small rumble of power left in place.
Each Noah attack with 36 Strength points produced small bangs that scared these blessed to death.
As they watched Noah's battle against Shadow, some blessed ones even wondered if they could intervene in this battle to help Noah, but seeing those frightening attacks, they knew that even if the attack didn't hit them, just the force it caused in a small space would already cause very serious injuries to these men and women.
But this was different for Carlos, in addition to being a brother to Noah, he had already worked with Noah to manage these imps, to the point where he had his own imp for his own safety, so these little monsters couldn't intimidate Carlos.
"Are you okay?" It was the first thing Carlos asked, even not caring about the assassin who was sent to murder them.
"Yeah, I just consumed a little mana, nothing a few hours of rest wouldn't fix." Noah replied indifferently.
"Good! What about Shadow? Did you manage to kill him?" Carlos asked, as he looked around for a possible corpse of the assassin.
"Unfortunately not, my agility wasn't high enough to handle a killer like that." Noah replied a little frustrated.
Since he'd been selected as Lucifer's descendant, it hadn't arisen since he'd let a target escape against his will.
But this was natural, he always kept in mind that he was not invincible, let alone dealing with a blessed Rank A, even blessed Rank B still posed great danger to him.
"Damn..." Carlos complained, out of concern for his own family.
"But tell me, why would another family send an assassin to try to deal with you?" Noah asked curious, after all, the more information he had, the easier it would be for him to solve this problem.
"This...it all started in a Rank D stronghold I was raiding earlier. It was a brand new stronghold, with no previous records, so we didn't know what monsters were going to show up in that place.
Initially there was nothing unusual, but gradually it became strange. A few imp-like creatures, but much more disfigured, began to appear in the fortress, which made me uncomfortable.
But we dealt with these monsters believing they were just imp-like monsters. However, something even stranger happened as the fortress progressed.
As the group was based solely on people from my family's security, everyone listened to my commands and throughout the invasion did what I ordered.
But when he arrived at Boss's office, what was there was something no one expected.
A little boy was sitting on a throne... sleeping like it was his room.
If it weren't for the little horns on his head, I would even believe that boy was a human who got lost in a fortress somehow.
Not knowing what to do, I and the other blessed screamed at the boy, before attacking, to understand the situation, and that's when it got even weirder, as when he woke up, the boy completely ignored the other blessed ones and stared at me with curiosity." Carlos replied to Noah.
"A boy with horns…was he a demon?!" Noah asked in alarm.
This would not be the first demon he had encountered, as in the battle arena where he met the young man blessed by Apollo Noah had also encountered a demon.
But a child demon would be the first time he would ever meet.
"At first I didn't know if the boy was really a demon, or if he was just a similar monster, or even a human boy, but what he said surprised me.
After staring at me for a while, he said something that the other blessed couldn't understand, but in my ears it was thunder cracking." Carlos said in an enigmatic way.
"Come on, tell me what the boy said!" Noah asked angrily, not patient with the little game Carlos was playing.
"Hehe, what he told me was very shocking, I wanted to at least have this little pleasure with you, but I won't stall anymore, what he told me was 'Why do I smell my dad on you?'" Carlos replied.
