"Hehe, what he told me was very shocking. I wanted to at least have this little pleasure with you, but I won't stall anymore; what he told me was, 'Why do I smell my dad on you?'" Carlos replied.
"What? Are you by any chance the boy's father? Damn Carlos, and here I am believing you were just a womanizer, but not to the point of getting monsters pregnant," Noah replied playfully, but in the meantime his mind worked with countless possibilities of what the boy could have meant.
"What? I was surprised by that, after all. The smell he smelled on me didn't really come from me, but from my flames, or rather, from the flames you gave me, that is, your scent. ...Maybe Maggy is already an aunt and she doesn't even know it?" Carlos asked playfully.
"Stop saying such nonsense, of course this child is not mine! It must probably be one of Lucifer's children. Did you happen to notice any abnormality in him?" Noah asked.
Hearing Noah's question, Carlos put a hand to his neck as he tried to think of something special about the boy, but there was only one thing that had caught his attention. "Well, other than the fact that the kid is practically a bottomless pit, having eaten several kilos of food, I don't think he revealed anything relevant."
For Carlos, the kid eating several kilos of food might not even be that relevant, the way Noah heard him talking, as if it were just another casual thing, but unlike Carlos, who didn't delve so deeply into Christianity, for Noah this revelation was different. He had spent the initial 4 years with his Blessing dedicating himself completely to the study of this 'dead' religion, but at this point something surprised him.
The boy's hunger was so great that it reminded Noah of one of the seven deadly sins, and it mixed with some of his knowledge of the most powerful demons in Hell.
He knew Beelzebub was the representative of 'Gluttony', but Noah didn't remember seeing something in the bible that said Beelzebub was Lucifer's son. But anyway, the Bible was written by men; Noah trusted at most only 90% of what was written in that, so that information fit perfectly into the 10% error rate he had.
Following Carlos to the innermost area of the Bunker, Noah began to feel a strange, attractive energy inside that place. It was truly dangerous to leave a demon with their family, but Noah trusted Carlos's character assessment.
When he opened the door, a scene that Noah had not expected was taking place. On one side, Carlos's parents were sitting at a table, playing Chess like a cultured couple, while on the other side were two children sitting at the table hidden by a large mountain of food, apparently fighting to see who could eat faster. These children were obviously Maggy and the possible Beelzebub.
Maggy didn't even notice that Noah had entered the room as she continued to eat a heavily stuffed pizza, but the other kid was different; he looked at Noah with a varying set of expressions.
These expressions ranged from anger, sadness, contempt, hope, pride, curiosity - all in just a split second - but every expression of that was captured by Noah, who kept a poker-face to disguise the curiosity he felt for the child sitting next to Maggy. A moment of silence remained between the two, while only their two pairs of eyes stared at each other for an indefinite time.
The boy, who was possibly the representation of gluttony, did not even remember to finish eating the delicious food in front of him, which was appreciated by Maggy, who ate with so much joy to the point that she could no longer ingest a single molecule of carbohydrate.
When she turned around and saw Noah staring at her new friend, Maggy broke into a cute smile that made the little dimples in her cheeks really apparent as she waved at him. "Noah, look at my new friend! His name is Bel. I thought I could eat a lot, but he eats more than I thought possible!" she screamed.
Being awakened by Maggy, Noah and 'Bel' snapped out of their silent communion and both showed embarrassed smiles, apparently at having made such a strange scene in front of everyone.
"Hello Sir, you smell like my father," Bel said in a voice a little shy but a little angry.
But to the youth's disappointment, Noah responded coolly. "I'm not your father, boy, but that's no reason I shouldn't get to know you." The end of the sentence Noah said with a smile.
At first, hearing Noah's cold tone, Bel was immediately disappointed, but seeing the slightly warm smile he got from Noah, a big smile came over his own face, happy not to get a lie, or not to meet someone manipulative who might have tried to comfort him with empty words.
It was nice to find someone honest with him, who just said what he was thinking without worrying about hurting him like he was just some spoiled prince.
"I'm looking forward to it," Bel responded in the old-fashioned ways of apparently a little noble boy, which combined with his appearance, disregarding his mouth smeared with oil because of the crap he was eating, matched his appearance perfectly and made him look like a young master of some powerful family.
Noah intended to talk to Carlos's family before sitting down to talk to Bel, but in a split second, Noah saw a small figure standing in front of him. It was a speed Noah couldn't even react to.
If he was on alert, maybe he could have made it to the boy with teleportation, but he was relaxed at that moment; he never imagined that this boy would move at such insane speed towards him suddenly, which also surprised him all around. So before Noah could think of any misunderstanding, Bel yelled out a name that made a few more wheels in Noah's mind spin once more.
"Lilith!!!!"
