Chapter 7：CHAPTER 7 : BUTTERFLY AROUND ME

It has been a year since Josh and Phillip left their hometown to work in the big city. Meanwhile Phillip was beginning to open up his heart and he started to date Lucy Guo. He likes her baby and often babysitting him. Lucy also likes him, Phillip promised to marry her but he still not sure when he would ready. Phillip felt the butterfly around his head when he was together with Lucy. Phil never felt in love before, he felt awkward in the beginning. Lucy on the other hand more mature than him, she could help him to manage his life. It has been two months since they decided to date.

Josh came to Phil's place that night but didn't find him. His neighbor then told him to go to the next house, its Lucy's place. There Josh finally found Phillip, he was carrying Lucy's baby, he was surprised to see Josh in there "Hi Josh ! How do you know I'm here ?"

Josh :"I was told by your neighbor !"

Phil :"Josh this is Lucy. Lucy this is Josh my best friend."

Josh and Lucy shook their hands "Hi, nice to meet you !" Nice to meet you too !"

Phil gave the baby back to Lucy, he walked out the house together with Josh.

Phil :"Let's go to grab some drink pal, It's been a while."

Josh :"OK !"

They went to the nearest street vendors. They sat there the whole night and had chat together sharing about their lives.

Josh :"Your girl ... is she Lucy ... her name "

Phil :"Yeah, she's beautiful is she ?"

Josh :"Well, not bad ! How did you find her ?"

Phil :"I was helping my friend babysitting her baby, then we started to get to know each other since then. She is a mature woman even she's still young."

Josh :"Yeah, I think you need someone like her ! You're not confident and you need someone who can lead you."

Phil :"How about you pal ? Have you met someone interesting ?"

Josh :"I don't think so, my focus still the same pal. Actually one of my co-workers my manager to be exactly has a beautiful girlfriend, but I'm not interested on her. But, I think she sometimes tried to get close to me. I felt uncomfortable around her. I'm afraid it will make trouble or misunderstand for me and my co worker someday."

Phil :"So,what did you do so far ?"

Josh :"Nothing, I always avoid her every time she came closer to me."

Phil :"Are you sure, she's approaching you ?"

Josh :"Yeah, I can feel it from her body language. Let's talk about something else, I don't like this topic. Phil, I maybe will go abroad in the upcoming months."

Phil :"Wow, what will you do there ?"

Josh :"Still about ship work, my boss had told me about his project to buy ship from outside country, but he'll just go to the nearest country like Russia or Japan."

Phil :"Wow, it will be exciting ! Just like you always dreaming !"

Josh :"Yeah, I'm very grateful to work for my boss I can learn about ship more and building my dream higher and higher. Phil, what is your dream ?"

Phil :"My dream .... i don't know, maybe I don't have a dream, I just like enjoying my life. Maybe my partner dream can be my dream. Hahaha..."

Josh :"You're still the same like used to be pal ! Take good care of your girlfriend, don't waste such a nice woman like her !"

Phil :"Of course ! I've never met a girl like her before, she's so independent and hard worker. Maybe she had trained at the orphanage to be a tough woman like now."

Josh :"Is she orphan ?"

Phil :"Yes, she is. Also her late husband, they were came from the same orphanage before. That's why she trusted him and got married at very young age."

Josh :"Oh .. I see... You're lucky then pal ! Hahaha... OK I think it's already midnight, time to go home ! See you again pal !"

Phil :"See you pal ! Bye !"

They waved good bye and went on their separate ways.

The other night Josh was visiting Hawk's place he wanted to discuss something about their work for tomorrow, he sat at the living room. While he was waiting for Hawk, Marcia came to him, gave him a cup of tea then she sat very close next to him. Josh began feel awkward, he shifted sideways a little, he was praying that Hawk would come faster. Marcia started to talk to him "What's your name hot guy ?" Actually she knew his name is Josh from Hawk, but she tried to catch his attention. Josh replied "I'm Josh." He didn't offer to shook her hand and he tried to avoid her eyes. Josh was very uncomfortable and he couldn't wait any longer

Josh :"Sorry, can I see Hawk please ?"

Marcia :"Don't worry he'll come soon. He still taking a bath. Relax Josh ! Just play around with me a little. I'm Marcia, Hawk's friend."

Josh :"Yeah, I know. Do you living together with Hawk here ?"

Marcia :"Yes, we live together in this same house, together with the other renter of course." She laughed a little.

Josh :"Oh I see. So when will you plan to get married ?"

Marcia :"Married ? Hahaha.... We never plan about that... not now...not tomorrow...never ! We enjoyed our lives just like this no bond ! We are free spirit people ... Hahaha...."

Marcia felt butterflies all around her head while they were talking to each other, she said to herself "He is a plain and innocent guy, really hot to be playing around hahaha.... I must have him !" She started a plan on her mind how to trap him. Meanwhile, Hawk had finished his bath, he was entering the living room when he saw Marcia laughed out loud and sat very close to Josh. He creased up his eyebrows, he was irritated to see that.

Hawk :"Marcia, go to your room now. I want to talk with Josh. What's up Josh ?"

Josh :"I want to discuss about the plan for tomorrow and our weekly plan, I'm afraid we can't do it tomorrow. You know we will go to Russia next week. There aren't much time left to finished our job here."

Hawk :"You're right ! Let's do it now ! We must split our job from tomorrow and prepare to deliver our job to the other."

Marcia was eavesdropping from behind the wall, she said to herself "Hmm, they will go abroad within a week huh, I must get him before that !"

One day Phillip mom called him and told him to go back to their hometown, because his father had just died while sailing at the sea. He got shock and now he was confusing. He must came back to his hometown to continue his father's business, but he couldn't left Lucy here all alone. He told Lucy about his father's death to Lucy and asked her what he should do.

Phil :"Lucy, my mom just called, she told me my father had just died at the sea few days ago." his eyes started to get red, tears fell from his eyes.

Lucy :"Sorry to hear that, you should go home now. You have to support your mom since you are her only child."

Lucy :"Don't worry about us, we will wait for you to come back."

Phil :"No, Lucy I won't come back this time. I must take over my dad's business. So, will you go with me now ?"

Now Lucy was confusing, this event just to sudden for her. She silent and thank for a while.

Lucy :"How about this, you go home now. Give us some time to think. If you sure with your heart you may come back here in a month and tell me the result. How about it ?"

Phillip actually wanted to take her to his hometown tomorrow. But he thought about her words its make sense. Now the most important thing is for him to settled down his father's business, his funeral and supported his mom. He thought within two weeks if his mom had calmed down then he would tell her about Lucy and her baby. If he took Lucy now maybe his mom will shock. That night he told Josh about his father's death. Josh got shock also, then he went hurriedly to Hawk's place and told him that he will go back to his hometown for 2 days and can't go to work. Hawk understand about his bad news, he tried to handle the job by his own the next day.

The next day Phillip and Josh went back to their hometown together, they took the bus.
