Chapter 17：CHAPTER 17 : UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

Josh followed Randy went to see his boss at company B, he was wondering what would he ask, what was his motive, was he a wise man since he was from the mafia background. A lot of questions popped up on his mind. Randy's car was entering a big building, it stopped at the lobby, he got out of the car and gave the car key to the security, then he showed Josh the way to get inside the building. Their body had been searched by security at the gate before they entered the lift. The security was very strict. The lift showed they were at the top floor then the door opened. Randy said something to the secretary and they were waiting for few minutes.

Randy took Josh entered the CEO office.

Randy :"Excuse me sir, this is Mr. Joshiro Wu, Mr. Wu this is our CEO Mr. Shawn Ma."

Shawn :"Nice to meet you Mr. Wu, please have a sit."

Josh :"Nice to meet you too sir, thank you."

They shook hands and greet each other.

Shawn :"Mr. Wu I heard you were genius man, you could repaired any machines ?"

Josh :"Oh no sir, I'm not that genius and just call me Josh."

Shawn :"OK Josh, I like your humble personality. Since you said you're not that genius, you must be still want to learn more ?"

Josh eyes got blink and he smiled passionately :"Of course sir, I'm still long way to learn a lot, my school background didn't support me well."

Shawn :"Well then I need someone like you for my company, someone who still thirsty for knowledge and has ambition to learn more ! So, have I answered your question ?"

Josh :"What question sir, I didn't ask you any question ?"

Shawn :"Hahaha... I thought you've been wondering why I called you to my company ?"

Josh :"Yeah you were right sir, actually I've been wondering that. But what is it you really want from me ? I'm sure you've heard about what happened to me lately, why did you still took me to your company ?"

Shawn :"I'm not that stupid like your old boss ! I can see who is like a wolf ! He lost you is my fortune ! I'm interested on you for a long time young man, and now I think it's the right time to have you in my company. I offer you to study for few years but you also had to work in my company. I give you some times to consider it, you don't have to answer it now."

Josh :"OK sir, thank you for giving me opportunity, I'll consider it."

Shawn :"I can only give you three days, I must get your answer next monday."

Josh :"Yes sir."

Shawn :"You may leave now."

Josh :"Excuse me sir."

Josh left the company with big smile, half of his burdened on his mind got lifted. That day he went to aunt Qing shop and had lunch there, then he just walked around the park to release his stress, he just sat on the bench alone and seeing people passing by. Until the night came, he went back to his boarding house there he met Hawk.

Hawk :"With this nice suit, where have you been ? I thought you were locking yourself again in your room ?"

Josh :"I think my nightmare has ended today Hawk ! This morning someone took me to company B to see the CEO."

Hawk :"What ? What did he want from you ?"

Josh :"He offered me study and work there."

Hawk :"Have you agreed ?"

Josh :"Not yet, the boss gave me three days to consider it."

Hawk :"Wow you're very lucky Josh !"

Josh :"Really ? Am I that lucky ? Is company B that good ?"

Hawk :"So, what hesitate you then ?"

Josh :"I still don't know yet, but it's really tempted me. I'll think about it in this three days."

Hawk :"OK, but to tell you, company B is bigger than our company A Josh, so I think you chance to success in there is bigger also."

Josh :"Do you have friends working in there Hawk ?"

Hawk :"No, I don't have."

Today is the due day, Josh had made up his mind, he took a bath and got dressed up. He took a bus to go to company B. He told the receptionist to meet the CEO, he waited for a while then Randy came and take him to see Shawn.

Josh :"Good morning sir."

Shawn :"Morning Josh, will I have a good news today ?"

Josh smiled :"I've been thinking these days sir, and I've decided to join your company."

Shawn :"Great Josh !" He shook Josh's hand "Welcome to our company ! You'll get pay but also you can study for free at my workshop. I have a little school for learning machines here, but I'll send you abroad too in the future if needed to learn about some new technologies. Are you ready ?"

Josh :"Yes sir I'm ready !" Josh got very excited to heard his explanation, that's just what he need for now.

Shawn :"Josh you may start tomorrow to study for three months and then working after lunch everyday. Now Randy will show you around the workshop and the workplace."

Randy :"OK, let's go Mr. Wu

Randy showed Josh the workshop in that building and then moved to the workplace after lunch. Josh was so excited and amazed to see the equipment and how big was the place. Then he went back in the afternoon.

Randy :"Mr.Wu you'll see me again tomorrow at the receptionist, I'll give you your badge to enter our building."

Josh :"OK, see you tomorrow Mr, Lu. And just call me Josh. Bye.."

He told about everything to Hawk that night, Hawk was so exciting to hear him.

Hawk : Wow, I wish I can go there with you too Josh !"

Josh :"Don't worry Hawk, I'll take you with me if I had settled up in there."

Josh had worked in company B for two weeks already, he was packing his things to move to other boarding house near the company B, Hawk helped him.

Josh :"I think so, you know I have to save my bus fare Hawk and save my time also. Don't worry I won't forget you, we'll still contacting to each other !"

Hawk :"Yeah, but I'll miss you !"

Josh :"Hahaha you gotta be kidding ! We're not that close aren't we ?"

Hawk :"Hahaha after so many years we've know each other well ! We soon will be family too !"

Josh :"What do you mean ?"

Hawk :"When I'll marry Megumi, we'll be brothers aren't we ?"

Josh :"Hahaha yeah ... yeah... Are you that sure to marry her dude ?"

Hawk :"Of course I am !"

Josh :"See you again soon dude, next time visit me at my place will you ?"

Hawk :"Yeah sure ! Take care!"

Today was Caren seventeen birthday, she would held a little party at the pool side of Hotel M. She gave Josh's invitation to Hawk a week before and told him to come together with Josh. She knew her dad banned him to meet her, but she still hoped he would come. That night she dressed up very beautifully, she grated her friends and her friend Danny suddenly grabbed her hand for a while and he asked her to had dance with him. She agreed then, she gave instruction to her man to play the music. They started to dance and followed by other couples.

Danny :"You're so beautiful today Caren !"

Caren :"Thank you, you too."

Danny :"Caren, may I be your boyfriend ?"

Caren surprised she stopped the dance :"Sorry Dan, I already someone in my heart."

Danny :"Who ? I never knew you have boyfriend at school ?"

Caren :"He's not from our school !"

Danny :"But can you please give me a chance ?

Caren :"Sorry I can't" then she left him, she took a glass of water and drank it, a tears fell down from her eyes, she remembered Josh, she said to herself "Will he come ? He must come he promised me !"

The party had just ended, but she didn't see Josh nor Hawk, suddenly a waiter gave her a note "Meet me at the garden hotel at backyard, J" Her eyes widened read the note then she rushed to the hotel backyard, he saw a little garden there "Josh, where are you ?"

Josh appeared :"Here..." Caren hugged him and cried.

Caren :"Thank you Josh you have fulfilled your promise, I miss you !"

Josh :"I miss you too ! Happy birthday you're a woman now !"

Caren smiled :"Thank you, now I want a gift from you !"

Josh :"What gift do you want from me ?"

Caren :"I want you to kiss me !"

Josh :"What ? I... never kissed a girl before."

Caren :"Don't tell me you can't kiss me ! It's my first kiss too and I want it from you !"

Josh hesitated for a while, but then he thought this was his last meet with her, so he wanted to give her a nice farewell. He kissed her lips gently then released her.

Caren :"Ohh it was niceee I want more !"

They kissed each other again, so sweet and they were hugging each other for a while.

Josh :"Caren, I have something for you too, here it is." He put on her a gold necklace on her neck.

Caren :"Oh it's beautiful, you know I like stars, thank you Josh !"

Josh :"Caren, maybe this is our last meeting, you know your father banned me meeting you. I'm afraid I'll be busy to go abroad in the future also, so take care ! Until we meet again ! Bye Caren"

He kissed her forehead and went away. He ran as fast as he can because he held his tears to fall down. He didn't want Caren see it.

Caren :"Noooo, please don't go Josh !" she cried and try to chase Josh, but Josh ran very fast, while her dress slower her move. She couldn't catch him and back to her dad.

Josh took a glass of wine and drank it, he asked for more until he got drunk, Hawk tried to stop him, he paid for the wine and sent him back to his boarding house.
