Chapter 18：CHAPTER 18 : WILL YOU MARRY ME

It had been three years Josh working in the company B, the first year he spent for studying in the workshop. The third year he started to be sent abroad for some training of new technologies. His career was growing fast in three years. He took Hawk with him in company B on the second year he joint them. But now Josh position was higher than Hawk. His skills and knowledge was beyond Hawk, and Josh was one of the CEO trusted man. Shawn was older than Doug, he was a generous and wise man though he was from mafia background. Shawn had two sons, because of ambition he had made both of them killed each other few years ago. Shawn was very deeply hurt and fell apart that time, but time had healed him now, and he became wiser because of that incident. Shawn had told his lawyer, if he died someday he'll donate all of his fortune to the communities, orphanages and nursing houses. But now he had some plans to grab some young and smart people to be trained well, so when the time would come, he would pass down his businesses to them, because he had no decent anymore, his wife died long time ago and he didn't remarried. He also planned to make his company go public, his company had grown bigger and bigger each years, it would be to waste to be ruin.

Josh met a new best friend in company B, his name is Mark Jang. Mark from a little village, his parent were not his real parent, his adoptive parent found Mark baby at the train station where they usually worked as cleaner and the bell man. They were old already and had no children, they were just happy to found Mark baby and they raised him well till he grown up to be a wonderful young man. Mark never knew his real parents, but he was very grateful and love his adoptive parents. They were very old now and weak. Mark always sent them some money every month, and they were grateful to Mark. Mark was the same age as Josh, but he wasn't interested on ship business. He was trained to be a hotel manager since he interested on hospitality business. Mark and Josh met each other at the workshop where they were trained together in there with other young men and women also. They had been through some tests to be in their position now. Though they worked in different field, they still kept in touch and spent some time together since they lived in the same boarding house.

Hawk had been tested also, but he couldn't pass, so he just be Josh's subordinate. Hawk lived in the same boarding house with Josh also, and now they were preparing to go home for new year vacation. This time Hawk would go together with Josh to his hometown. He had bought a ring to proposed to Megumi, but he hid it from Josh.

They arrived at Josh house in the afternoon, Josh's mom welcomed them with some meals, she told Hawk to sleep together with Josh, while Megumi slept together with her. The next day Hawk asked Megumi to go out, he took her the hill side and while they walked together, he took some wild flowers with him and gave them to her, she took them and smiled "Thank you." Then he knelt down in front of her, he showed her the ring "Meg, will you marry me ?" Megumi got surprised her eyes widened, she didn't expected would happen so fast.

Megumi :"A..are you sure ?"

Hawk :"I never been so sure than now ! You know I'm getting older now, I just couldn't wait you any longer. Now, what's your answer ?"

Megumi smiled :"Of course I want you ! The answer is yes..."

They hugged each other and he kissed her lips gently.

Hawk :"I love you Megumi !"

Megumi :"I love you too Hawk !"

They kissed each other passionately.

Hawk :"Let's tell your mom about this."

Megumi :"OK, let's go !"

Josh :"Where have you been you two lovey dovey couple ?"

Hawk :"Why, are you jealous ? Why don't you get one ?"

Josh :"Why should I be jealous ? I don't need any woman right now."

Hawk :"Just forget about the past will you ? Come on, start your new love life ? By the way, I'll marry Megumi next year."

Josh :"What ? Does she still too young ?"

Hawk :"No, she's a grown up lady now, I've proposed her just now, and she agreed with me."

Josh :"Are you serious ?"

Hawk :"Of course I'm serious ! Let's tell your mom now..."

Megumi went inside the house first to find her mom. Her mom went to the living room now together with her.

Hawk :"Aunt Wu, I'd like to marry Megumi next year, can I get engage with her ?"

Jenny smiled :"How about you Megumi, are you agreed with him ?"

Megumi :"Yes, mom he just proposed me, and I said yes." She showed her the ring on her finger.

Jenny :"Well then, I had nothing to say to refuse you since you both agreed, right Josh ?"

Josh :"Hmm... isn't it to young for Meg mom ?"

Jenny :"I think Meg is a mature woman already. But you should take care Meg well Hawk, don't hurt her and protect her !"

Hawk :"Don't worry aunt I will !"

Jenny :"OK, I trust you. I think the engagement can be held a week after new year, so it won't interrupt your working time."

Hawk :"Yeah, it's a good idea aunt."

The new year celebration had ended, Hawk pick up his parents at the bus station, then he and Josh sent them to the hotel near Josh's house. Hawk had told them to come to Josh's house to propose for Megumi, his parents came with some gifts for Megumi.

Hawk :"I've told you, don't bring to much thing ! Megumi doesn't need them."

Hawk's mom :"Hey you don't know what woman needs !"

Hawk :"But these are unnecessary mom, they made you difficult to carry !"

Hawk's mom :"Just take them and help me."

The next day they came to Josh house, Hawk had dressed up in suit very neatly. His parents were wearing cheongsam, and Josh's mom also. Megumi was wearing a red kimono, she looks very charming that day. They respected each other by bowing head and Josh took some pictures of them. They didn't invite many people just Phillip's family. Phil took his baby with him to the ceremony, he had a baby girl with Lucy finally. They were very happy together that day.

Hawk and Josh were getting ready to go back to the city the next day. Hawk's parents had gone back to their hometown after the ceremony yesterday.

Hawk :"Thank you aunt for letting me stay here these past few days."

Jenny :"What did you call me ? Aunt ?"

Hawk smiled Jenny creased her eyebrows.

Jenny :"Are you suppose to call me mom from yesterday ?"

Hawk :"Yes mom, I'm sorry, I haven't get use to it. Please take care yourself."

Jenny :"I will, you take care yourself too together with Josh."

Jenny hugged him and then hugged Josh.

Hawk :"Bye Meg, see you again soon."

He kissed Megumi forehead.

Megumi :"Take care Hawk ! Bye..."

Josh :"Bye mom, take care."

They waved good bye...
