Angeline woke up and this time she couldn't help but smile on her lips. A rare moment, when she opened his eyes, it was David's handsome face that welcomed her morning. David just smiled at her, without saying a word, as if waiting for Angeline to start their first conversation on that sunny morning.

Angeline continued to look at David's face, still not wanting to say anything, just enjoying and feel grateful in her heart about what was presented in front of her eyes.

David's handsome face that smiled before her eyes just as she first opened her eyes in the morning was a sight that could never be compared to anything.

For several minutes they just stared at each other, without a word escaping from each other's lips. Until finally Angeline laughed softly, provoking David to smile wider.

They both act really cute, more like a couple of teenagers who are dating and wake up in the morning after having sex all night than a husband and wife who most of their lives are more boring.

"What time did you wake up?"

"I forgot." replied David. "All I remember when I woke up, the sunlight was still golden."

"Then, what are you doing?" Angeline kept bombarding David with questions, the hoarse voice typical of a person who just woke up from her sleep sounded very sexy and adorable at the same time to David's ears.

"Guess." David replied, which made Angeline think a little.

"Mmm ... I don't smell hot food coming from the living room, and you still haven't put your clothes on. If you haven't cooked and haven't showered, don't tell me ..."

Angeline deliberately hung up her words, but seeing David nod made Angeline round her eyes as if in disbelief. "What? Seriously?"

"Double-serious."

It was as if Angeline was forced to come to her full consciousness because she was shocked by David's actions.

"David! Your hobby is so weird, don't you get tired of staring at me for hours?" Supposedly, for ordinary people, they would be terrified if someone stared at their faces for hours while sleeping. But, for some reason, Angeline found it a little funny. Still, shocking at the same time.

David stroked the fine line of Angeline's face, "This is your fault."

"My fault? What did I do?"

David smiled, "Your mistake is that you look too pretty for someone who is sleeping, and also too sexy for someone who just woke up from sleep. That is clearly cheating. God seems very careful when he made you."

Angeline also held David's hand which was on her cheek. "Stop it, your sweet words made me think of Elly's ex-fiancé last night. Ewh ... I don't want to remember that animal's poop anymore."

"Do you now equate me with other men?" asked David, who actually didn't mean it, but Angeline felt guilty for saying that.

"That's not what I meant. But, I mean, it's not what you think. I mean--"

David covered Angeline's mouth with a warm kiss that landed on her lips. Sucking it in a long suction that Angeline immediately replied without being asked, pampering each other's lips as if they could never be satisfied with it, until David pulled his head back to end the sudden kiss.

Seeing Angeline's eyes still closed with her mouth slightly open and gasping for breath, David kissed Angeline on the forehead and smiled, "Sorry, but you're too cute when you're panicking. I can't bear to kiss you."

Angeline grabbed David's hair slowly, "Don't apologize. I like it."

"Do you like it, or like it?" teased David.

"I ... like it?" said Angeline, little confused.

"So, you like it?"

"Yeah, I like it."

"So, are you—"

Angeline suddenly brought her face closer to David while tilting her head, gently stroking David's lips with hers in a tempo that was quite slow but also very full of lustful pleasure. David, without being asked, followed Angeline's lip play, following every movement her lips made, making the sound of kissing lips echoing in their ears like a broken record that kept repeating itself without knowing when to stop.

They ended the passionate kiss with a smile, staring at each other with the same panting breaths.

For them, the thing they did just now was vitamins in the morning which couldn't be bought in any pharmacy store.

"Are you hungry?"

Angeline nodded in agreement with David's question. "But I haven't cooked anything yet. Want to order some food?"

"No, this time let me cook."

David was silent for a few moments. In his mind, at least he still had a bottle of Jack Daniels in the refrigerator in case something went wrong.

What for?

Of course, to help him struggle to finish Angeline's cooking.

You know, the last time David ate Angeline's dish which was a food that had such a magical shape and taste, David spent a few minutes in the bathroom, and he kept remembering the taste of it all night long.

"Do you want me to help?"

"There's no need for that." said Angeline who immediately got up from the bed with a confident face. The girl was about to step into the kitchen but David also got up from his sleeping position and pulled Angeline's body to a different direction.

"Why?"

"Wash your face first, it's not good to cook in a sleepy state. At least, you should first freshen your eyes with water."

"But I was a hundred percent awake because of the kiss."

David just smiled and continued to carry Angeline into the bathroom and then closed the bathroom door, leaving Angeline with no other choice but to obey David's words. Meanwhile David ran to the refrigerator and opened it. When he saw that there was less than a quarter of the liquid in his Jack Daniels bottle remaining, cold sweat poured down David's forehead.

"If you order it now, you probably won't get it delivered on time." he muttered softly. David finally gave up, he exhaled heavily as he closed the door again. "All right, this time I will face Angeline's cooking like a real man, without the help of any drink ... Dad, if you look at me from up there, please protect your son from possibility to die. At least, I'll be glad if it just end up with a fucking stomach ache."

Unnoticed by David, Angeline had come out of the bathroom with her hair tied back. The expression on the girl's face was very confident. Seeing her so confident like that made David feel uncomfortable to back down from this very dangerous challenge.

David also made up his mind and chose to sit at the dining table, while Angeline had started to do what she had to do.

Yep, Angeline starts cooking. Usually, a husband will find his wife looking very charming while cooking, but in contrast to Angeline's case, where Angeline looks like a disaster to David.

There is no need to guess what food Angeline will serve, because from the start David already knew that Angeline seemed to have a grudge of her own with a food called fried rice. The girl seemed to want to avenge her previous failure, when she made a strange bin fried rice that was instead shaped like a pizza with a burnt base, unripe vegetable topping and also an overly thin porridge sprinkled on top.

"Ouch! ... "

David immediately ran towards Angeline when the girl accidentally nudged the edge of the pan he used to make fried rice. David quickly turned off the stove and led Angeline to the sink, with great care, David soaked the burns on Angeline's hands with water.

"David, I'm fine, it's just a small wound."

"I can't see you getting hurt even if it's just a small wound."

Angeline turned off the water tap in the sink that David used to wet the burns on her hands, turned around and stared into David's eyes while showing a guilty expression. "Okay, I'm sorry for worrying you, next time I'll be careful. Let me finish my cooking, okay?"

David was silent for a moment. Seeing Angeline's expression full of hope made David relented and let Angeline do what she wanted to do.

Finally David chose to return to his chair, watching Angeline's every move in the kitchen until a plate of fried rice was in front of him in a beautiful way. This time the shape was hundreds of times more normal than the fried rice Angeline had cooked before. Even so, David still didn't let his guard down one bit. In silence, David put on an expression as if he wanted to enter the battlefield where David's level of survival from the war was nearly zero.

Slowly, David spooned a mouthful of fried rice made by Angeline, turned to Angeline who immediately gave him a sweet smile that full of confident.

Angeline didn't look the least bit nervous, which made David feel even worse.

Why?

Of course, with the confident expression shown by Angeline, David automatically had to really endure as the taste of the fried rice in front of him was far more abnormal than he could see. Also, David did not have the heart to destroy Angeline's confidence.

Finally, a mouthful of fried rice made by Angeline entered David's mouth. Shouting to himself, David chewed lightly on the spoonful full of fried rice.

And what happened next completely changed David's perception of his wife's cooking skill.

To be honest, it tastes quite good.

What a miracle.

Without further ado, David kept shoveling spoon after spoon of Angeline's homemade fried rice into his mouth. This was the first time Angeline had managed to cook something up for him. Of course it wasn't only Angeline who felt joy here. David was also pleased with Angeline's extraordinary achievement.

Not because of the achievement of the extraordinary taste of fried rice because the taste is just a little above the standard, but the achievement of Angeline in not destroying the fried rice.. Or at least, Angeline's achievement in making fried rice that looks like fried rice, instead of something as strange and magical as before.
