78 Trip home

Astila and Aisling leave Ester's house with mixed feelings. Astila looks at her seeing she is anxious.

"What's wrong you saved them, or are you worried about what happens now?" He has yet to let go of her hand since entering the house.

"I am scared that we won't be together when we get back. I'm scared of what changes were made because of my interference. " she looks at him almost ready to cry. He pulls her into his arms.

"We knew that any changes that we made would effect our future , we will have to have faith that what ever happens we will find each other again . We may get back and very little may have changed. Have faith our love is strong." Kissing her softly they begin to disappear in the past.

Aisling wakes up to get ready for work. She feels like something is missing . Looking around her room nothing has changed. She wonders why she feels like this morning. Going down stairs she hears someone in the kitchen . It's Sam her sisters husband.

"Good morning Aisling ,did you sleep well? " he pours her a cup of coffee and hands it to her.

"I did thank you but I get the feeling I'm missing something." Taking a sip of coffee.

"Hmm you did drink a lot last night. Could be just a hangover." He waves at her as he walks outside. She looks around the room wondering what is she missing. Shrugging her shoulders she grabs her bag and leaves to go to work. She hears a crow squawk as she gets into her car. Looking up to see if she can find it. She hears it again this time it's coming from the overgrown area next to the drive. Her head is pounding maybe she should call out today,and go back to sleep. Shaking her head at starts to get into her car when the crow lands on the hood. Staring at her squawking loudly. Her head begins to pound now like a drum. Her head gets fuzzy and everything goes black.

Astila is following the directions that the commander gave him to his family home. He hears an Eagle scream above him. He looks up and says to him .

"Think you can help me out. I think I'm lost?" Chuckling to himself he hears it scream again swooping close to his car. Astila decides he better follow it. Following the eagle he comes to a house that looks exactly like the picture he has. There laying on the ground beside a car is a young woman. Astila jumps out of his car and calls for an ambulance. Going to her side he sees the crow and eagle sitting on the hood of her car watching. Shaking his head he checks her pulse , her heart rate is slow. Going back to his car he gets his medical bag out. Getting his stethoscope he listens to her heart. It very low. Thinking to himself , he wonders where is the ambulance. He is checking her blood pressure when he hears the sirens of the ambulance. Sighing with relief , he begins to tell the paramedics her vitals. He know he has seen this woman somewhere before but where. Deciding to follow the ambulance to the hospital to keep close watch on her. On the way he calls the commander.

"Did you find the house ok? Was Aisling surprised?" Astila sight

"I don't know when I got to the house there was a woman passed out in the drive I am following the ambulance now?" He tells him wondering if that was Aisling.

"Look I will call my brother to meet you at the hospital. Do not leave my girl alone there she is terrified of hospitals. " the commander hangs up and Astila notices that the eagle and crow are still flying above the car. How strange is this. He came because after all these years the commander finally told him who the girl he saved from the snakes was. Since he was going to be in the area he figured he would stop to see her. Definitely was not expecting to find her unconscious. The ambulance pulls into the hospital emergency area. He goes inside and lets the front desk know he came with the patient that just arrived. Giving them his name and letting them know he would like to talk to the Dr in charge of her. After about a half hour a frantic girl with twins arrives along with a very stern looking man. He resembled the commander so he assumes he is her uncle. The front desk let's them know he is waiting for them. The man comes over and shakes his hand .

"You are Steve's friend, I'm John his brother and this is Aisling's sister and her girls . " he looks at the girls and without even knowing he calls them by name.

"Did uncle tell you their names by chance?" The girl looks at him in surprise.

"No I just called them what came to mind." The girl Tanis cried till he took her. Cooing and kissing him. Debra looks surprised her child never goes to anyone.

"She seems to like me." He smiles at her. The Dr comes out and asks for Astila. Astila stands and goes back with him. He asks him a few questions then takes him to the patient's room. She is still unconscious with no explanation. Astila thanks the Dr and goes to talk to the family. He asks if they mind going outside so they can call the commander at the same time. The agree so they go to sit on a bench just outside.

"Astila have you met up with John yet? How is my girl doing?" Astila looks at them and gives a heavy sigh.

"She is still unconscious, they don't understand why. The Dr says that at first he thought it had to do with her blood alcohol. She must have drank a lot within the last twenty four hours. It's not that her blood alcohol is high but not that high to cause this. They did a cat scan as well nothing. It's going to be a waiting game for now. I will stay close to keep watch on her. I will call you everyday with an update." He hands the phone to John so he can speak with his brother. When they finished he hung up.

"My brother seems to have a lot of faith in you so here is my number keep it in case you need it. " John hands him a business card with his number on it they go back inside to wait.
