Aisling puts the bag inside her pocket and starts cleaning the dinning hall. Once back in the kitchen she delegates duties.

"Grandmother you may clean the ovens so that I can bake the bread for dinner. The rest go about your normal chores. I have a few things to do in my room. I will be back in time to prepare the moon meal. Oh and grandmother don't ask anyone else to help it is for you alone to do. " Aisling goes out and stands by the door to hear what they have to say.

"Is the new mistress really your granddaughter, she is so beautiful and kind?" The dishwasher asks.

"Yes but you would not know it right now. When I was alive she would do whatever it took to try to make me happy. Though nothing she ever did was good enough . I could not stand to see them visit. Though I would have to endure it. I hope that the other cook can come back soon I can't stand the sight of her . Especially with her acting so high and mighty for a bastards child that should be besneath me." Elsie spat on the floor. Aisling couldn't control the pain in her heart and the tears began to fall uncontrollably down her face. Lucian could feel her pain while in the field . He decides to return to find out why. When walking to her door he hears her sobbing. Without even having to ask he knows it's because of Elsie. Storming into the kitchen he picks Elsie up by her neck.

"What did you say or do to cause Aisling pain?" Lucian's eyes turn red as he reads the room. Seeing and hearing what transpired. Throwing Elisi across the room.

"master Lucian I did nothing to her but follow her orders." Elsie kneels and cries out.

"You think you can hide anything from me. I know that even after all this time you still hate and resent your son and his family. You think you are so high and mighty . She is right it was your choices that brought about your problems. You chose to be a whore and bare a child outside of marriage and yet you blame the child. This punishment is not harsh enough for you. I am going to send you somewhere else. Somewhere that you will beg to leave and you will not be allowed to. Get up let's go." Lucian grabs Elsie by the arm and in an instant they are in a dark cold place. Elsie feels something crawling on her and begins to try to swipe it away. Lucian laughs.

"You see sin is not just your deeds but it's your words and thoughts as well. So I guess you were not correct in your assumption that you did not do anything wrong by your son. To add insult to injury I am going to have your past life replayed for you to watch as you are being tormented. Try to see if you can figure out what you did wrong. " as Lucian turns to leave Elsie is surrounded by blood thirsty men grabbing her and beating her. He leaves as her screams vibrate off the walls. He figures it won't take long for her to realize her true heart. In an instant he is back in the kitchen and Aisling is there preparing the noon meal. Her cheeks are blotchy and her eyes red from crying. He goes over and touches her shoulder.

"You need not worry about having to deal with her I sent her away. I'm sorry that you had to even meet her. If you ever want her to come back tell me and I will get her otherwise forget that she was here. " Lucian tells her.

"thank you, my father always tried to make her happy . She always blamed my grandfather for how she treated my father and us. I don't know now if that was true or if she just got used to hating us. Even still I had wished that she was at heart a good woman and passed on to paradise. Maybe it was just us she mistreated. Everyone else always said what a good person she was, so kind and giving. You bring who you are do you think I am wrong in my thinking. Did my father really deserve being hated because of something he had no control over?" Aisling looks up at Lucian her eyes bright green with hurt.

"Your father only deserved punishment for his actions, his drunkenness that caused your mothers death. His beating you out of his anger and drunkenness. Those things he was responsible for not his birth. No one is responsible for how they are brought into the world only what they do once here. He made amends with the father so his sins were gone when he passed. Your grandmother did not so it is my decision on how she will be punished. She was too cruel earlier and deserved to be shown just how bad her sins against her child was. Once she realizes that I will let her go back to the field . Hopefully by then she may even be ready to ask for forgiveness." Lucian takes the hot pan from the stove for Aisling and motions for the maid to serve the meal. In all the centuries he has been in this place he has never been in the kitchen so much. What is this woman doing to him Lucian wonders.

they finish the noon meal in silence and as they are leaving the dinning hall a man from the frills is delivering some produce to the kitchen.

"I thought I would bring it myself since my wife is here." The man looks around the kitchen and doesn't see her. Who he does see is Aisling.

"Aisling how do you come to be in this place?" The man asks.

"Aisling is the mistress here and has done nothing except that I wish her here. As for your wife I sent her to hell of her own making. She didn't think she needed to be nice to my guest. So I sent her to see what her sins have wrought. When she knows the full gravity of what she done she will return." Lucian tells him.

"Grandpa dee , would you like some lemonade. I made it fresh , I also have some fresh bread would you like a sandwich?" Aisling asks her grandfather.

"Oh my you have not changed. You still take care of all around you. " Dee tells Aisling as he goes to leave the kitchen Lucian follows him.

" You know master Lucian I told all my buddies proudly that she was my granddaughter. I was a hard cold man but this child never left me alone. She wormed her way into my heart even if I was a cold hearted man . I always had a soft spot for her. " dee tells Lucian as he waits for Aisling to bring him his lunch. Lucian wonders why the man before him is so different from his wife.

"you know your wife was mean to Aisling so I sent her away. Why are you not mean to her?" Lucian asks.

"I was cruel because I could not get passed my wife betrayal. In life I could never let my pride go. That boy was a horrible mess mostly due to the treatment he received. He was loved by so many at his death but still hated by his family. It should have been different. My wife had so much hatred built up inside because she was not allowed to love  her child that in the end she grew to hate the sight of him. That was my fault. I have to spend eternity paying for the sin of pride. That woman there is a beautiful angel that could make the blackest heart soften. It was because of her that I allowed them to visit. She was the one I wanted to see. " dee hears Aisling coming and straightened his clothes. Aisling smiles at the older man.

"Grandpa Dee here is your food. I hope you like it I made it with extra tomatoes just the way you used to like." Aisling hands him his food and gives the older man a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. whispering "I love you grandpa." Just before walking inside.
