78 Chapter 78: Ties and Plans

Hearing his words, Hazel raised her head to stare at him as her mind wrapped around his five words.

'I wouldn't betray my Queen '

On seeing that he finally caught her attention, a grin made way to his face as he stared at her. His eyes softened as he observed her.

'Ah! How much he missed her.'

He suddenly wanted to go there and hug her tightly. He never thought those kisses he stole would never be enough to control his emotions.

Suddenly, an annoying voice interjected, " Your Queen? She is our President. She is not yours."

In a minute, his features became cold as he gazed at the small snarling beast.

He retorted, "With time."

' She will be...eventually.' he added in his mind.

Zelal retorted, "So you want us to be spies, right?"

Ren was dumbfounded by his question. What kind of question is that?

Zelal scoffed, "Didn't your words indicate that you badly want to believe that we are spies."

Ren widened his eyes in shock. Even if he insisted, he didn't want to turn them into bad people. He just couldn't understand why these two people would transfer without any reason.

Their stance clearly gave off the feeling that if Hazel wasn't here, they wouldn't come. Clearly, they came here to steal their president, which he couldn't come to terms with.

'They won't get our beautiful president.'

Little did Ren know that the president he protected heavily would eventually slip out of his protection.

Rubbing her forehead annoyedly, Hazel slapped the table and glared at them. Ren pursed his lips as he sat down and hid behind his twin sister to escape her glare. Her eyes swept through the people warning them to not cause a ruckus before turning to Principal Vernon and pointed out, "You still have something to add, right?"

Principal Vernon nodded worriedly. " Yes, now its time for the bad news. The bad news is that..."

Before he could finish his words, Jinha interrupted forgetting all about Hazel's warning. He raised his eyebrows while his eyes focused on one person standing and inquired, "Wait, I thought you already spilled the bad news. Didn't you?"

The principal's lips twitched as his eyes focused on Jinha. He could everyone's confused while he looked at the rest who looked at him puzzled.

He couldn't help but complain inwardly, 'Wasn't that obviously a piece of good news? Having two strong people transfer from our rival academy, is good news right?'

But looking at everyone, he could guess that they didn't share the same feelings as him. Sigh!

Zeno looked at their principal who became silent and slowly analyzed, "I guess he thought we would be happy when we hear about their transfer" he stopped and looked at the brothers continuing, "And, that's why he said he had good news as well as bad news."

Reyna munched on fruit as she corrected them, "So we had bad news and worst news. And, we have heard the worst news, what's the bad news about?"

The principal was speechless by the way they carried out things. He saw them waiting for his news that he didn't wait for another minute. He straightly informed them.

"We are being attacked."

"Huh?" everyone looked at each other before turning towards their principal and said seriously, " We know... we were just about to discuss them when they intervened."

Hazel rubbed her chin as she observed the principal. It looked like her previous hunch was coming true.

" The attacks must be orchestrated by the Silver Mages. It must have been hard for them to come around the fact that they lost two strong students in one night."

Hearing her words, everyone turned to the brothers who were standing there calmly as if the situation was not their concern. Liz asked curiously, " How did they react when you guys left?"

Zelal smiled looking at her curious countenance, " We don't know."

Liz tilted her head as if not understanding her words.

"Well, we just sent a letter while we were at our kingdom. And, made our way here."

Liz didn't know whether she should laugh or cry at his words. They just came over? Wow, she didn't want to imagine the Silver Mages' rage.

Liz quickly agreed with Hazel, " It can't be anyone else, right? They are taking their revenge for poaching their strong members."

Ren frowned, "Poach? Didn't they come here voluntarily?"

Even though Ren didn't want to acknowledge them, he had no choice other than doing that. Since their president had already accepted it.

The principal sighed, "Yea.. but they couldn't take it. We must have touched their nerves."

Hak commented, "Well transferring with a letter was bound to affect their pride. That's equal to giving a slap on their face."

Jinha smirked, "So since we don't need a meeting anymore and we have received their greeting. Shouldn't we greet them back too?"

Evil smiles appeared on everyone's face as they agreed to his words. It's been a while since they have had fun.

Harold asked, "But how will we find them?"

Zeno stated, "We don't have to find them, they will come to us willingly."

Seeing that the Heroes were prepared. Principal Vernon nodded his head proudly before taking his leave. When he reached the entrance he stopped and turned around.

"Hazel, do come and meet me after you finish here."

Although feeling confused by his words, Hazel nodded her head. Right after he stepped out, she saw Usui following behind him and frowned. She shook her head as she thought, ' It's not her business.'

She signaled the rest to make space for their new members before they proceeded to talk about their plans on how to greet them warmly.

...

Outside the room,

Principal Vernon stopped by the elevator and sighed.

"How long do you plan to follow me?"

He turned around and saw Usui walking towards him with a small smile on his face.

He grumbled, "You know, you really should know when to not give me trouble."

Usui's smile grew as he said, "Thank you, Grandpa."

Principal Vernon looked at him and thought, 'This grandson of his, only knew to create trouble for me.'

He had asked him when he turned of age to join his academy as he opposed his grandson entering Silver Mages. But, his grandson had declined to say, "It's too much trouble to come to the south, just for this. I would just hide that I'm your grandson later."

Failing to convince him to enter his academy, Grandpa Vernon just left it to him to choose. He just wanted his grandson to be strong like him in the future. He had heard about his achievements and was proud even though he couldn't divulge the truth.

So he was surprised when a letter from his daughter arrived one evening saying that this brat wanted to transfer. His first thought was that his grandson was bullied but given his strength, he ignored that doubt. So he curiously probed his grandson before he came over to the room.

He was shocked when he heard his reason for joining here. For a woman? And the one he wanted to court was part of his academy?

Was this reason enough to make him transfer?

And, by looking at his earlier actions, it looked like this brat had taken a liking towards Hazel.

Usui titled his head as he stated, "You shouldn't worry too much. This is my way of making sure you get to play with your grandkids soon."

"Brat... you haven't made her fall for you. What is with your confidence?"

Usui pursed his lips as he said, " With time, I will make her mine."

Vernon sighed looking at his grandson's determined face. But he couldn't be more proud of his choice. He always wished Hazel to be part of his family and looks like this brat would make his wish come true.

The sound from the elevator distracted them from their conversation. Grandpa Vernon looked at his grandson once more before entering the elevator.

He left with his words, "Don't create too much trouble for me."

Usui grinned as he nodded his head, " Don't worry, Grandpa."

....

Hazel came out of the principal's cabin feeling confused. What did he mean by thank you?

Why was he thanking me?

Her mind was filled with thoughts as she made her way back to her friends. As she was distracted by her words, she failed to notice a shadow trailing behind her.

Right when she turned around a corner, a hand reached out and pulled her into a dark room taking her by surprise.

She yelped in surprise as she was being pressed against the wall. Her mouth was covered by a hand with her hands being held tightly upwards. She squinted her eyes to make out the figure standing in front of her. Failing to recognize the person, she struggled to free from his grip when she heard that person whisper in her ear, "Shush... it's me."

Hearing the familiar voice, her eyes were wide open as if asking him silently, "What are you doing?"
