105 Chapter 105: Only her and no one else

Usui stopped undressing as he glanced behind him. He shook his head as he continued undressing, ignoring the person standing by his door.

Zelal sulked at his brother's obvious actions. He moped as he said, "Brother...Don't ignore me."

Usui continued removing his clothes as he said nonchalantly as if he was pacifying a big baby, "I didn't ignore you."

Zelal pouted as he insisted, "You did."

He hanged his coat before turning to him and said, "If you want me to agree that I ignored you when I didn't, I agree."

Zelal widened his eyes as he shouted, "No, don't agree. My heart can't take it."

Usui exhaled as he said, "Someone said he wasn't a baby and yet he acts like one."

"I heard that."

Usui nodded his head as he retorted, "I said that only because I want you to hear."

Zelal pouted as he looked at his brother. He mumbled under his breath, "You still ignored me."

Usui heard that and shook his head. He didn't know how Zelal turned out to be the big baby amongst his other brothers. He remembered how Zelal used to follow him around from a small age as if Usui's cold face enlightened the baby's curiosity. Even though he knew his mother used to do many things towards Zelal, he was sure the most adored child in the palace was his brother.

Usui looked at Zelal who had grown up physically but yet had a childlike mind. He still followed him around as if Usui was his entire world. His face softened seeing him standing by one corner with his lips puckered up.

Usui chuckled startling Zelal. Usui tilted his head as he said, "You are still inside my room and we were talking, right?"

Zelal's eyes brightened at his brother's words.

'Yes! How could I forget that my brother hates it when someone barges into his room.'

Zelal had a huge smile on his face when he remembered his brother's nature. But his face quickly contorted into confusion when he saw Usui grabbing his outerwear.

Usui wore the jacket when he heard Zelal ask in confusion, "Brother, Are you going somewhere?"

Usui sat on his bed as he grabbed his footwear and shook it at him. "You don't want to have dinner?"

"But dinner would be provided for us. There is no need to wear these clothes for that."

Usui nodded as he replied, "I want to eat outside. Are you coming?"

Zelal nodded his head eagerly as he said excitedly, "Yes, yes... wait for me. I will quickly change my clothes."

Usui watched as Zelal left the room. He heaved a sigh as he thought he escaped his endless questioning. But as soon as he relaxed, he heard Zelal's accusing voice by the door, "Brother, you didn't purposefully change the topic to distract me, right?"

Usui looked at his brother who was glaring at him with his hands folded and his feet tapping the ground impatiently.

Zelal narrowed his eyes at his brother's fake actions. He pursed his lips as he taunted him, "Yeah... that's what I also thought. My brother wouldn't do those childish things, right? He is way above that, right?"

Usui's lips twitched at his obvious provocation as he thought, 'Who are you calling childish?!'

Usui glanced away from his brother as he said, "Ask what you wanted to ask."

Zelal looked at his brother and knitted his brows. For a moment there, he thought his frame exhibited loneliness but that can't be, right? He didn't know what changed suddenly in Usui when things were okay in the morning.

Zelal asked carefully,"Do you not love Hazel anymore?"

Usui frowned at his statement that he swiftly looked at his brother with a glare. He drew his brows together as he questioned, "Did you think of me like that? A fickle-minded person?"

Widening his eyes, Zelal shook his head with his hands waving in front of him. "No... no... I don't think you are like that."

Usui snorted as he looked away from him.

'Huh? did not love her? No one knows how she barged into his heart and made a comfortable place inside his heart?'

He heard Zelal say softly, "But you were different today. You were too cold to her to even say that your heart was stolen way back."

Usui ridiculed at his statement.

Zelal continued speaking and didn't notice Usui's reactions.

"People would misunderstand that, you know? I know you referred to the time at the kingdom but they would think you already had your heart stolen before you met Hazel."

Usui burst into laughter making Zelal stop his blabbering. Zelal looked at Usui in shock as it was his first time hearing him cackle loudly.

He saw Usui look at him and ridicule, "You thought I was being cold? That what I did was heartless? Hahaha.. that's the funniest thing I heard today."

'Cold? Heartless? What I did was nothing compared to what she said!'

Zelal gulped as he looked at Usui worriedly and say, "Brother, you are scaring me."

Usui knitted his brows as he looked at Zelal who was looking at him as if he was seeing a ghost. Zelal swallowed as he shakily gestured to his face and shook his head adamantly.

Usui chuckled at his brother's actions making his facial features soften.

Zelal relaxed as he rubbed his hands and said, "You didn't answer me, brother."

'God, my brother can be so scary giving me goosebumps!'

Usui turned away from his brother and approached his window. The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. He looked at it as he asked softly.

"Say, Zel... What would you do if Liz tells you that she wouldn't want you?"

Zelal looked shaken by his words.

"Wh-"

He was cut off by his brother's next question. It was like a dam broke and the water was gushing out excessively.

"What would you do if Liz tells you that she can't love you because her heart was stolen way back?"

Zelal gulped as his entire face paled by his intense questions.

"What would you do if Liz tells you that she doesn't have space for you in her heart?"

Zelal backed away from his brother's silent rage. He could feel his frustration and pain in his questions. He shook his head trying to remove the image of cold Liz saying all these heartless words.

"What would you do if Liz says that she will never love you?"

Usui paused and then spat those detestable words after a few seconds.

"And, that she wouldn't love you even if you are the last living person in the world?"

Zelal staggered back petrified by his words as he blurted out with wide eyes, "Die... I will die."

Usui looked taken aback by his answer that he turned around to look at his brother. He was startled to see his little brother was sweating profusely as he plastered himself to the door with his eyes closed.

Usui saw his mouth moving continuously that he proceeded to approach him. He forgot that his little brother had a delicate heart. He didn't know how his brother would be if Liz rejects him. He hoped Liz wouldn't be like her.

Usui almost chuckled when he heard Zelal mutter "Go away, you evil figure. Return me, my sweet Liz, who worries about me and not spout heartless words."

Usui's eyes softened as he felt his heart calmed down by his silly words.

Usui raised his hand and slapped his brother's head. Zelal shouted pitifully, "Ouch, go away you evil ghost. Don't hurt me."

Usui's lips twitched as he proceeded to twist his ears, "Ouch..." Zelal looked up and saw his brother looking at him amusedly. He shrugged his hands off and complained, "That hurt, brother."

Zelal watched Usui chuckle softly as he turned around. He knitted his brows as he remembered his questions.

He widened his eyes when he thought of the solution he gave. He hurriedly grabbed his brother's arms and shook him, "Brother, I know the solution is as simple as death. But don't do it, okay? Don't die on me."

Usui rolled his eyes at his overdramatic brother and ordered, "Let go."

Zelal pouted as he let go of his brother. He watched his brother straighten his clothes and return to the window to silently observe the city.

"Brother, did the princess say all that to you?"

Usui lifted his face to gaze at the moon as he slowly nodded his head.

Zelal heard his brother murmur, "Do you think your brother is the type to snatch another person's woman? Even if I love her, I wouldn't do that. It's against my principles."

Zelal knew his brother was answering his question.

"So you are letting go of her irrespective of what you feel?"

Usui looked at Zelal solemnly as he said, "Do I have another choice?"

Zelal's eyes trembled at his lonely frame. His almighty brother who never once cared about anything had finally started to experience love only for it to remain unrequited.

"Brother, are you sure that she was saying the truth?"

Usui turned away from him as those images entered his mind. Her face, her eyes looking at him coldly as she uttered those heartless words.

'There was no way she would lie. If she did... No, No... '

Usui shook his head stopping himself from garnering any hope. He already had his heart torn apart, he didn't want to go through that again.

"I think we were never meant to be together. I don't regret though because I'm sure the person I would love the rest of my life would only be her and no one else."

Saying that Usui lifted his lips into a sad smile. He doesn't know whether he can go back to how he was before he entered the Crystal kingdom.

Zelal lowered his face as he didn't want to look at his brother's vulnerable self. For the first time in his life, his brother was showing his vulnerable self and that too because of a woman.

Usui shook his head and glanced at him.

"Aren't you changing? I'm starving, let's go eat okay?"
