116 Chapter 116 : Knight in shining armor

Hazel stopped and looked at Stella in surprise. She raised her eyebrows as she asked doubtfully, "Talk?"

Stella smiled and nodded her head gently. She started walking towards the open balcony in the dormitory.

Hazel pressed her lips and knitted her brows. She glanced at Liz who shrugged and gestured her with her eyes to hurry along. Hazel sighed and said, "I will be right back"

Liz grinned and turned around towards their room.

Hazel exhaled deeply before she started walking towards Stella. She thought, 'What does she want to talk about?'

Instantly, her chibi version of her with horns and tail and a chibi version of her with wings appeared on either side of her shoulders. The devil scooted close to her ear and whispered wickedly, " Maybe she wants to confront you?"

Hazel looked at the devil who was casually resting against her face and flicking her fingers. She asked puzzled, "Why would she want to confront me?"

The devil rolled her eyes, "Why, of course, it's because of the person whose heart you broke cruelly."

Hazel flinched when she was reminded of what she did. She pursed her lips and said, " I don't think it's that. She didn't look angry."

The devil pondered, "Hmm..."

Hazel looked at the devil amusedly and waited for her to answer when she suddenly heard the devil let out a 'Ha!'

"Maybe she thinks you are the third person between them."

Hazel whirled her head towards him and yelled, "What?"

The devil covered her ears and looked at her annoyedly.

The devil chastised her, "Stop shouting, will you? My ears are going to be deaf soon."

While Stella who was waiting for her, hurriedly came over when she heard Hazel shout. Stella asked worriedly, "Hazel, are you okay?"

Hazel saw her and an uncomfortable smile made way to her face. She waved her hands as she said, " Yes... I'm fine. I was just thinking and remembered that I almost forgot about a thing to be addressed in the meeting. Thank God, I remembered now. Phew!"

Hazel laughed nervously hoping that she would believe her. Stella relaxed a little and said, "Oh! that's fine. Let's go before it gets too late."

Hazel cursed in her mind but smiled on the surface.

" Sure sure"

She stared at her back as she followed Stella to the balcony. She gulped when she thought of what the devil in her said.

'Does she think like that? third person?'

The chibi-angel sat on her shoulders, swinging her legs as she analyzed, "Maybe it's just a casual talk?"

The chibi-devil retorted, "She doesn't know her well enough to have casual talks."

The angel stood up on her shoulders and said thoughtfully, "Maybe she wants to inform you about something."

The angel rolled her eyes at her host's denseness.

"You have one thing in common."

Hazel raised her eyebrows at her and saw the angel shake her head sadly.

"Your Prince Charming."

Instantly, Hazel's face changes as the realization struck her. She pursed her lips and grumbled, "Why is everything connected to him?"

The angel looked at her in shock and asked, "Haven't you noticed it?"

Surely her host must notice how uncomfortable and jealous she gets when Stella is close to Usui. But the next set of words immediately sent the angel's mind into chaos.

"Noticed what?"

The angel looked dumbfounded at her and scoffed unbelievably at her.

'Are you for real?'

Hazel knitted her brows and was about to pester her when she heard the devil chuckle, "It's good that you don't notice it. Let us enjoy some more!"

Hazel pressed her lips angrily. She caught them in her hands and glared at them angrily. She was about to tighten her grip around them and force them to spill it out when she heard Stella call out, "Hazel?"

"I will be right there, Stella."

She looked back towards her hand and found that the two chibis have vanished into thin air. She sighed as she rubbed her forehead in frustration. When she entered the open balcony, she saw Stella gazing at the wide blue sky.

Stella turned towards her and smiled, "Hi... it must have felt weird when I suddenly asked you to spare some time."

Hazel chuckled as she shook her head. She stood near her and accompanied her in cloud gazing silently. Hazel wasn't in a hurry to talk neither was Stella.

After a few minutes, Hazel asked, "How are you coping up?"

Stella froze slightly before her shoulders drooped. She looked at the cloud and whispered, "I feel disgusted."

Maybe it was because of her silence. Stella wanted to let out her feelings... those feelings which she kept hidden in her heart and which she couldn't share with Zeke and Zel.

"I never thought that Steve would behave like that after he knew how much Zeke and Zel protected me. I was shocked when he blocked my way and spoke vulgarly. Even though he was the principal's son, he really didn't have that much ethics in his bringing."

Stella sighed and looked at the ground, " I was even more shocked when the people ignored me and some even told others to mind their business."

She scoffed and looked at Hazel, "Can you believe that?"

Stella sat on the chair near the balcony and mumbled, "To be honest, I thought I would die.. well no, I wanted to die. I didn't want to die after they have ravaged me. So, I even used my magic to eradicate them. I didn't mind that I would die by doing so. At that moment, all I thought of was killing them."

Stella shuddered making Hazel sit next to her. Hazel wrapped her arm around her hesitantly and comforted her in silence. Stella placed her head on Hazel's shoulders and mumbled in a low voice, "When my magic failed to do the damage and when I saw the monsters rise. Only one thought crossed my mind that my life is over. Even when Steve broke my hand and slapped me, the pain couldn't cover the growing fear inside me. "

"When his hands touched me, I felt disgusted. Wherever he touched, I felt that I was being tainted. When he tore my dress, I couldn't help but sacrifice my pride. Still, they didn't stop. I was prepared to give up when he came."

Hazel glanced at her and saw Stella smiling, "He came like a knight in shining armor."

Stella straightened up and said, "He saved me. He saved me from everything." and she smiled softly at her fingers, "He avenged me, made me vent out my frustrations, made me restore my pride."

"I will never forget the warmth I received from him. I owe him for my life. I owe him for keeping me sane and I'm really grateful that at least he showed up when I thought I was alone."

Hazel rubbed her arms as she listened silently. Then suddenly, she was laughing.

"But I didn't expect him to be the cold person the next day. Like he was wearing a mask in front of me."

Stella chuckled, "Loki is cute"

Hazel smiled at her and thought that the boys would die of laughter if they heard someone address the cold monster cute.

Stella glanced at Hazel who was smiling at her. But she could see the worry deep in her eyes. Stella said stiffly, "I'm fine now"

"You don't have to pretend in front of me" Hazel smiled and held her hand, " You are safe now"

Stella couldn't express the comfort those four words gave her. Her eyes welled up as she nodded, "I know..."

Hazel saw her bite her lips which made her smile. She remembered her of how she was in the past. When she lost him and was immersed in the darkness. It took her years to move out from the darkness and she didn't want Stella to be locked in her darkness.

Hazel smiled, "It is fine... All you need to know is that you have everyone with you. There are many people here for you, worrying about you. Even if you try to hide it, I'm sure they know what you are going through."

Stella chuckled, "True... Zeke is funny, he climbs over my windows to check whether I am okay. He is really silly."

Hazel saw the love in her eyes which made her heart wince. Stella looked at her and whispered while rubbing her arms, "I still feel those disgusting touches at night."

Hazel sighed, "Time... it is the best medicine. The nightmares would get better with time."

Stella looked at her and hesitated to ask her. Hazel chuckled, "You can ask anything, you know."

Stella smiled slightly as she asked, "Do you get nightmares?"
