“It’s okay, there’s no need to go through so much trouble.” Xia Sheng smiled insincerely and responded perfunctorily.

“Qianqian, sit with Sheng Sheng for a while. I’ll go to the kitchen to rush them. We’ll be able to eat soon.” Mother Song pulled Song Qian over and pushed her to sit with Xia Sheng.

Song Qian agreed with a smile. After Mother Song left, she took out some snacks from the drawer and said, “Second Brother asked someone to buy these from overseas but I don’t usually eat them. Since you’re here today, don’t stand on ceremony with me.”

She seemed to be generous enough to share snacks with Xia Sheng, but these things were nothing.

Xia Sheng did not reject any of them. She flipped through the brand of snacks and her smile deepened. “This snack is also sold in the country. You don’t have to waste time letting Second Brother run errands.”

Only Song Qian would resort to such a crude method to patronize her. Did she really think that she didn’t know the true value of a product?

Song Qian’s smile froze and her face almost turned black. “Really? Then maybe I remembered the wrong brand.”

Xia Sheng was not merciful at all. “It’s okay if you remember the brand wrongly. Who doesn’t have a muddle time?”

The plan was exposed by Xia Sheng on the spot. No matter how good Song Qian’s upbringing was, she lost her temper. Seeing that she could not stay any longer, Mother Song appeared just in time to take everyone out for a meal to break the awkward atmosphere.

After the meal, Xia Sheng felt a little bloated, so she told Mother Song, “Mom, I’m going to the garden for a walk.”

Before she left, Mother Song reminded her carefully, “Be careful. Call me if anything happens.”

Song Qian watched this scene coldly and gritted her teeth unwillingly. If she didn’t do something, her position in the Song family would be taken away by Xia Sheng.

A few servants happened to pass by and she pulled them aside. “Sheng Sheng likes snacks. The snacks at home don’t suit her taste. Go and buy more. Don’t make her unhappy.”

However, this made things difficult for the servants. They still had to go out to buy things in the middle of the night. After a tiring day, none of them wanted to run errands.

Seeing the maid’s troubled expression, Song Qian tried to coax her again, “Sheng Sheng has already rejected the food I prepared. You must serve her well and never provoke her again.”

The maid was furious and had no choice but to bite the bullet and buy some things, planning to take the chance to tease Xia Sheng.

Xia Sheng wandered around for a while and felt much better. When she saw the servant carrying a lot of things, she could not help but find it funny that there were spicy strips inside. With a thought, she took her car keys and went out.

When she came back, the shopping bag in her hand was stuffed to the brim. There were so many things inside that it almost burst out. Coincidentally, these servants had brought over spicy snacks, but Xia Sheng had stuffed a bag of things into them.

“I’ve bought too many snacks. Do you mind eating them with me?” Xia Sheng smiled lightly and opened the shopping bag happily.

The servants immediately gave up on making things difficult for Xia Sheng. It was like a dream to meet such an easy-going Xia Sheng who even bought snacks for them. Snacks weren’t expensive, but they were more than enough to capture the servants’ hearts.

However, the servants were a little reserved and could not let go.

Xia Sheng took the initiative to step forward and stuffed snacks into the other party’s arms. “I bought these things to treat you guys. Don’t stand on ceremony with me.”

In order to break the barrier, she even personally pinched a potato chip and stuffed it into the other party’s mouth. The servant realized that she had been fed by Xia Sheng and felt even more embarrassed. However, because of Xia Sheng’s meticulous actions, everyone let go of their reservations and shared their snacks happily.

When Mother Song saw this scene, she smiled kindly and personally brewed a pot of tea to send over. “Eat less snacks tonight, or else you’ll be full again.”

Xia Sheng swallowed the food in her mouth and nodded her head perfunctory. “I’ll be careful. Do you want to try it?”

“You guys eat, I won’t fight with you.” Mother Song laughed and blocked Xia Sheng’s snacks.

Because of Mother Song’s presence, the servants became more reserved and stopped talking and laughing. Mother Song was well aware of the reason upon seeing this. “I’ll help you tidy up your room. Have fun with them.”

After Mother Song left, the servants returned to normal.

Song Qian’s heart was filled with complicated emotions when she saw this scene. The unique aroma of snacks filled the air, making her drool. However, she could not swallow her pride and pretended to pinch her nose in disgust. “How can you eat such junk food?!”

“I’m not like you, the food and drinks that you have are all expensive high-end goods.” Xia Sheng said sarcastically. She deliberately shook the soda bottle and opened it.

Song Qian’s face was ashen, and she gnashed her teeth in anger.

Xia Sheng took a big gulp of soda and burped without care for her image. She kept stuffing snacks into her mouth and her cheeks puffed up like a little hamster.

The maid looked and found her cute. After interacting with Xia Sheng, she did not find her hard to please. Coincidentally, they saw Xia Sheng opening a bag of spicy strips and generously distributing it to the people around her. Everyone was even more delighted.

When Song Qian smelled the spicy strip, she covered her nose and scolded in a low voice, “It’s so oily. How dare you eat such unclean food? Aren’t you afraid of getting diarrhea tomorrow?”

“You want to stay out all night?”
