Chapter 424 - Goodbye

Seeing his papa and Clara coming, Nathan immediately stood up staring blankly because he felt frustrated being in an empty villa without a cellphone or home phone. He can only watch TV after eating or sleeping. The villa was very tightly guarded by guards even in front of his room. 

"Nathan?". Clara went straight to Nathan with a smile.

Nathan ignored Clara's greeting because he felt disgusted by her, after which he approached his father.

Even though she was disappointed, Clara still tried to calm down and sat on the edge of the bed watching Nathan and his Papa. 

"He's very handsome, I'm very lucky to be his fiancé. I hope we get married soon". Clara thought, smiling sweetly.

"Is there anything you want to tell, Nathan?". asked Mr. Joseph.

Nathan immediately nodded, after which Mr. Joseph glanced at Clara.

"Clara, can you come out for a moment, I want to talk to Nathan!". Asked Mr. Joseph kindly.

"Let Clara be here, because I want her to hear it too". Nathan said, stopping his Papa. 

"Alright then, let's talk in the living room!". Mr. Joseph said.

Clara and Nathan immediately nodded and followed Mr. Joseph into the living room. 

"I will obey Papa's orders, as long as Papa releases her. Please let her be happy and leave her alone!". Nathan said while pleading with tears in his eyes.

"What are you talking about?". Asked Mr. Joseph who pretended not to understand what Nathan was saying. 

"I've heard everything, Papa's bodyguard takes turns guarding a woman in a warehouse. They say her name. So, why did you have to hide it, are you embarrassed if your future daughter-in-law will know how bad Papa is?". Shouted Nathan. 

Clara was silent to hear Nathan's words, even though she did not expect what her future in-laws were doing, but she was still happy because it meant she had great support and she didn't care what bad things were done as long as she could be with Nathan.

"Marriage cannot be postponed again, tomorrow the guards will pick you up from here. If you ask about your request, Papa will grant it". Said Mr. Joseph as he turned his face away from Nathan because he was embarrassed that he had been caught. 

"Thank you!". Nathan replied, shedding tears. 

After that Mr. Joseph took Clara away as she had to prepare for her wedding tomorrow. 

"Natalie, goodbye. Sorry that this stupid man can not do anything for you!". Nathan thought as he lay down on the bed. 

Mafia headquarters.

Meanwhile, Maxwell appears to be busy holding meetings with everyone who submits to him, from company officials to thugs. 

"Find someone for me, if you've found him immediately let me know because I myself want to be a hero". Maxwell ordered while sitting with a dark expression. 

"Is this a kidnapping?".

"You could say, the culprit is Mr. Joseph". Maxwell replied casually.

"It's easy for me". Said one of the company officials who are quite well known in the city.

Maxwell smiled slyly at the words of the person, without waiting long, the person immediately made a call.

"Where are you?". Ask the person to someone on the other side of the phone.

"I'm on duty in the southern summit region".

"Has your boss asked you to look after someone lately so you never see me?". Asked the person in an annoyed tone.

"I'm sorry sir, but my boss asked me to look after two people at once in different places, so I don't have time to go out!".

"Okay, I'll wait for you when you are not on duty. I'm closed now!".

After making the call, he immediately saw Maxwell who was getting tired of waiting for him.

"I've found it".

"How do you know?". Asked Maxwell, staring sarcastically at the man. 

"The person I called earlier was the person I helped before, he was very obedient and honest with me. Now he is working as Mr. Joseph's bodyguard. He said he was looking after two people in different places. I think that person is the person you are looking for".

"Tell me where the address is!". Asked Maxwell matter-of-factly.

"The southern villa, as far as I remember, there is a warehouse over there that has been abandoned for a long time. Besides, there is a Villa JJ Group around the place!".

"Good, then you can disband". After that, Maxwell immediately came out of the secret meeting room with a smile because he really likes playing detective. 

They all went out straight away then dispersed immediately after Maxwell left the room. 

"Dear Mr. Joseph, I don't like to disturb people unless that person harasses me first. Today I will give you one warning. So, wait!". Maxwell thought, wearing his glasses and smiling sweetly.

The location of Villa JJ Group was not far from his villa, so he had no trouble finding the building. 

Maxwell's house.

Not long after, Maxwell arrived at his house with a sly smile as he walked toward his room.

Without waiting long, Maxwell took his fancy suit and stood in front of the mirror. 

He took off his T-shirt so that his beautiful body with a checkered belly made him look sexy in the mirror. 

Maxwell wore his white shirt elegantly, after which he put on his white coat.

After finishing wearing his coat, Maxwell straightened his hair and used his signature perfume to keep it looking fresh. 

After everything looks perfect, Maxwell immediately drives to the tea banquet.

"This is an event for parents, why should I come? Very annoying". Maxwell thought as he glanced out the window. 

A moment later Maxwell arrived at a tea banquet that was being held at the mayor's hall.

He got out of the car and then entered through the main door, Maxwell was silent for a moment when he saw many guests who started from socialites who were a group of young girls who were heirs to their parents' business empire.

"I miscalculated, I thought that it was only the parents who came, apparently the young girls were also gathered. Damn, my charm will definitely make me inconvenient. These young girls won't just let me go". Maxwell thought as he stood at the door with a very cold aura.

After thinking about it, Maxwell sent a message to Kevin about where Natalie was being held.. Apart from that, he had also sent bodyguards to save Nathan in order to fulfill his promise to Jasmin.
