Chapter 426 - Rescue Mission

Empty building.

After a long journey, Kevin finally arrived at the building.

He and his bodyguard entered by sneaking, occasionally he hid behind the wall when he saw Mr. Joseph's men passing.

"We split!". Kevin whispered to the bodyguard because he could see so many bodyguards manning the building.

"Yes, boss". The bodyguard replied, showing his respect.

After agreeing, they immediately scattered but before that, Kevin tricked the guards by throwing wood in the opposite direction to his position. 

Instantly all of Mr. Joseph's bodyguards panicked, the opportunity was used by Kevin and his bodyguards to enter through the side door. 

One by one Mr. Joseph's bodyguards could be paralyzed by Kevin and then tied using a rope.

Kevin covered his mouth using a mask so that his identity was not revealed.

"Tell me where your boss held the girl!". Kevin asked while clasping the hands of the guard who had been caught.

"I will not tell you!". The guard replied while trying to get away from Kevin's grip. 

"I will tell you, if I am not a good man. I am very cruel and merciless. If I kill you now maybe I will lose, but worse is you. If you die you will be tortured, it's better to survive to live because you can enjoy all the luxuries. How? ". Kevin said, gritting his teeth. 

Kevin is not just any man, if you don't want to wake the wolf then don't touch the name Kevin. 

Especially to the point of making him hurt, because he is not a sympathetic person to apologize to someone. 

Hearing Kevin's words, the guard immediately panicked because to be honest he was a person who was very afraid of death because he was only twenty-six years old.

"Looks like he's still a very young, old bastard deliberately hiring the younger ones as bait and easy targets. Basic, cunning". Kevin thought while pressing the guard's hand. 

"Aaaa ... Alright, I'll tell you, but please don't kill me!". The guard said after he moaned in pain. 

"Then show me where she was locked up!". said Kevin with a sly smile.

The guard immediately nodded and showed the way by telling them where to go.

Without thinking much, Kevin immediately pulled the guard towards the direction he mentioned.

They passed through many empty and very smelly rooms, after which they found the old tunnels that were wet from the water that formed the ditches very dirty and disgusting. 

Although Kevin didn't have any special feelings, he could feel how Natalie was feeling right now, being in this rotten place would be very tortuous for an innocent and gentle woman like Natalie.

"Damn you Mr. Joseph, how dare you torture an innocent girl in this rotten place, do I have to send you here and then lock you up like you have Natalie so you know how it feels to be locked in a place like this?". Kevin thought while clenching his fists. 

"Is it still far?", Kevin asked, getting impatient because they had been together for a long time in that rotten tunnel. 

"It's close, she is locked up in the basement that is under this tunnel, and the door is at the end of this tunnel!". The guard replied, trembling.

"What? Under this rotten tunnel, are you crazy. You bastards!". Kevin could not hold back his emotions so he hit the guard's stomach repeatedly. 

"Aaaa ...". Groan the guard who had fallen while holding his stomach.

"Boss. Stop it, you have to immediately release Miss Natalie so we can get out of here, this guard, let us take care of it!". The guard said, holding Kevin's arm to stop hitting the guard. 

"This time you escaped, but if anything happens to the woman inside, then I will kill you and your whole family!". After saying that, without wasting any more time, Kevin immediately ran to find the room.

Not long after, Kevin managed to get down after he opened the door to the basement which was cold and stuffy and no air could enter.

Kevin took the breathing apparatus near the door, then he slowly descended to the bottom floor. 

"Who is that?". Natalie asked quietly because she already felt like she was losing a lot of breath and energy because the guards weren't giving her oxygen today.

Instantly Natalie's face looked very pale and terrible, she would have resigned if she had to die without saying goodbye to the people she loved. 

Kevin was shocked when he saw Natalie sitting with her legs and hands tied, besides that, water droplets fell from above, making the atmosphere even colder and more terrifying. 

All the guards weren't in the room as they all ran outside when they heard Kevin's explosive sound. 

Unfortunately, they couldn't come back because Maxwell's bodyguards got in their way.

"Natalie, are you okay?". Kevin asked, kneeling in front of Natalie, shakingly as he touched Natalie's right hand which had started to turn pale. 

Hearing that familiar voice, Natalie opened her eyes slowly.

"Nathan, is that you?". Asked Natalie whose vision was starting to blur, other than that all she could think about was Nathan.

For some reason Kevin felt a little disappointed because Natalie called Nathan not him. Didn't Natalie know his voice by heart but how could she say Nathan's name?

"Hey ... Weak girl, I'm not that cowardly Nathan. But, I'm Kevin. Do you remember?". Kevin said curtly as he untied Natalie's hands and feet.

"Mr. Kevin?". Natalie asked in a voice that grew weaker because she was barely holding out her breath. 

"Yes, it's me, calm down I'll take you away from this cursed place!". Kevin replied while putting the oxygen into Natalie's mouth.

"Ahhh .. Finally I can breathe, Thank you Mr Kevin". Natalie said with relief after she got the oxygen, but her eyes couldn't open because she was so tired and wanted to sleep.

"A little longer the rope that binds you will break, so calm down!". Kevin said while removing the last tie. 

"Thank you once again I say to you, you've helped me twice, therefore I will repay everything with my life".. Natalie said like a drunk person because some parts of the sentence were not spoken clearly.
