Chapter 482 - I Am Not Ready

Without asking anything, Kevin followed his grandfather obediently.

A moment later, they arrived at the posh restaurant belonging to the Luan Group. Kevin frowned when he saw the small party going on.

How could he forget that today was his grandfather's birthday. 

The invited guests are mostly wealthy people including JJ Group and YM Group.

"I miscalculated, I shouldn't have come. At this rate, I will be known as a member of the Luan Group family". Kevin thought while thinking.

Before everyone saw him, Kevin stopped then turned to look at his grandfather. 

"What is wrong?". Zen Luan asked with a complicated expression.

"I can't come. So, I'll just wait in the car". Kevin said.

Zen Luan's expression turned dark. "Do you feel better hiding like that? Isn't this a good time to introduce you?".

"I'm fine, I'm not ready. So, please understand!". Kevin said with a pleading expression.

"Grandfather, just let him go! Isn't there me who will accompany you?".

Kevin and Zen Luan turned towards the source of the sound, they found a tall man with good posture. 

"Daniel, why did you come alone?". Zen Luan asked with a complicated expression, because he remembered yesterday he asked Daniel to take Jasmin to his birthday party. 

Kevin is still silent because he doesn't really like talking to Daniel, his personality with Daniel is like heaven and earth. Therefore, he felt that he was not compatible with his own brother.

"Sorry, because I couldn't take her, because she's not feeling well. Now, we better join all the guests since they've been waiting so long". Daniel said while holding his grandfather's arm. 

Before following Daniel, Zen Luan glanced at Kevin first because he really wanted Kevin to take over the Luan Group, but unfortunately Kevin did not have that ambition so he was forced to rely on Daniel who was not as great as Kevin.

"Grandpa, I'll visit you later. Then I'll say goodbye!".

Kevin showed his respect then hurried away from the front of Zen Luan and Daniel.

Zen Luan just took a deep breath, she wasn't really comfortable seeing her two grandchildren still being cold to each other. 

The little ones didn't want to greet the big ones, and the big ones seemed to think the little ones didn't exist.

"I should often meet the two of them or just have dinner. But, Kevin is too stubborn like his mother. Meanwhile, Daniel is just the father who is full of ambition". Inner Zen Luan.

After that, he and Daniel immediately joined the guests who had come. 

Daniel felt that he was winning again because his grandfather wanted to believe in him and Kevin still refused to be introduced to the public.

At the same time, the internal management department of JJ Group was in trouble because of Nathan's marriage cancellation.

For the second time Mr. Joseph encountered difficulties and it got worse, now he has reached the stage of failing to rise again as Minister.

In addition, JJ Group began to experience a decline because it did not get a large investment like before, even so Julian remained calm because JJ Group would not be able to go bankrupt as long as he was under his leadership.

In order to save the good name of the JJ Group family and his father as well, Nathan must try to make a good impression on Clara's family who mostly have power in government and business. In addition, Clara's father was the owner of the best law firm in town A.

In order to restore this stability, Nathan had to immediately become Clara's husband.

"Nathan, you are lucky because you have a future wife like Clara. She is very mature, good at loving people, and the most important thing is that she is beautiful and friendly. She is a potential wife. Therefore you have to treat her well". Mr. Joseph said, smiling at Nathan, who was sitting beside him. 

Clara blushed when she received praise from Mr. Joseph. Meanwhile, Sarah was silent because she knew what was on her son's mind. But, she still couldn't do anything. Especially now that Jasmin is not home and that makes her feel even more lonely.

"Yes Papa".

Nathan answered his father's words without showing any emotion. However, he felt like running away from Clara's house because he was disgusted by her Papa who kept praising Clara.

Mr. Joseph was very pleased to see Nathan's submissive attitude and he was satisfied.

Clara started to emit a look of joy because it was impossible for Nathan to leave her. She didn't care what Nathan said when they were in her apartment, because Clara was sure that Nathan would love her over time.

"Mr. Nathan is exactly what Clara described when she came to pick me up. It's nice to have such a handsome son-in-law." Clara's grandmother said that she had never seen Nathan and did not know that Nathan and Clara had failed to marry.

Meanwhile, Clara's mother and father smiled without much response because Nathan had previously disappointed them. However, they could not do anything because their only child loved Nathan very much and wanted to live with Nathan. 

Only Nathan was all she wanted, otherwise she wouldn't want to marry anyone.

"Thank you for the compliment!". Nathan said politely because he could not embarrass his family anymore.

"Well, today we will bring Clara to our home to make preparations for the wedding with Nathan. Tomorrow they will have the most spectacular wedding and it will be broadcast live. We want to show off our beautiful future in law". Mr. Joseph said excitedly.

"Of course, we have prepared everything that Clara will bring. We hope that this time nothing will make us regret it". Clara's mother said as she looked at Nathan sarcastically.

Actually, Clara's mother still had doubts about Nathan, she would not be willing if her precious and only child was hurt again.

"I can guarantee that I will not repeat the same mistakes, please forgive my behavior at that time". Nathan said after receiving a code from his father with a threatening look.

"I keep your promise".

Clara was very happy to hear the promise Nathan made. Finally, the dream of becoming Mrs. Nathan Al Vero will soon be fulfilled.. Clara hugged her mother's arm because she was very happy.
