Chapter 101 - 101: I Like You

Halora moved her head in despair and resentment. The young man who was once her savior was killed by an evil witch.

Her hands, her clothes was covered with blood while Damara, the black witch burst into laughter, as she succeeded in the end.

"No! No! You can't do this to me, Sebatian! You can't die like this, please wake up!" She tried to awaken his numb body but it was too late now.

Damara used an ancient dagger and its blade was soaked in a river of poison. She stabbed him to death, with no mercy and pity on her eyes.

"I have warned you, Halora. I won't stop, until you surrender to me the powerful ring!" And by that moment, a bright, luminous light shone through the ruined window.

Damara blocked it through her arms but the lightning was too strong and could even make her blind and burn into ashes.

"No! You can't do this to me, Halora! You can't destroy me so easily like what your mother did many years ago!" She screamed, blocking the lightning as she slowly burning.

And Halora looked at her way, mercilessly, she opened her palm, recited an ancient oration that made the lightning wilder and warmer.

"Farewell to you, evil witch!" She murmured and quickly closed her hands and twitched it to the right.

But Damara didn't stop. She giggled, smiled at Halora and she said, "We're not yet done! I shall return and redeem what's mine! Keep my words, Halora!"

"Don't worry, cause I will." With a strong force, Halora snapped her fingers and clapped her hands thrice.

The lightning suddenly exploded as it made Damara into ashes.

By then, she quickly looked at Sebastian who looked pale and his body became too cold. Tears fell down to her cheeks as she put his head to her lap.

"S– Sebastian!"

"Sebastian!"

She called his name as she hoped to bring him back to life. But, nothing changed that night.

"I... I like you so much, b– but I was too afraid to tell you the truth! A– and now that you're gone, I will always remember your beautiful eyes and warm hands."

However, as she cried out and thought that he was dead, someone was watching her from the distance.

He leaned over to the door, rubbed his chin as he couldn't understand why she was sobbing between in her dreams.

"Hmm, I wonder if she's dreaming about me right now." Sebastian smirked, took the cigar from his pocket but he hid it back when Halora mumbled something that made his pulse stopped pounding.

Suddenly, he walked closer to the girl who spoke while sleeping. He narrowed his eyes, slid his hands into his pocket.

"I like you, Sebastian. Since the first day we met, I knew it was you, the man that will be my future husband."

"What's she's talking about?" He said, quickly took his phone out and recorded Halora's voice. "Hmm, I can use it against you for fun." He giggled but his face turned scarlet while he listened to her sweet, crack voice.

His heart skipped a bit when she called him by his name. "Sebastian," spoke Halora as she slowly lifted her hand into the air.

There was a sweet, sudden smile on her lips. Breathed heavily as her long, attractive ginger red drifted by the cold, howling breeze.

"Thank God you're alive!" She exclaimed, as her eyes remained closed.

Right then, Sebastian realized that Halora had a dream. He was with her but he was wondering what happened to him.

Slowly, he took steps closer and higher to her. His knees remained firm, yet, his system recognized an abrupt, terrible feeling.

"Halora," spoke Sebastian. He was speechless, surprised of every words she said. "Shhh, I'll be here always beside you. No one will ever take you away from me even the world between us."

Sebastian was about to get something in his room when he heard a loud voice that echoed around Halora's room. Out of curiosity, he knocked on the door as he hoped that she was still awake.

"Huh," scoffed Sebastian. He then slowly twitched the doorknob until a quick ting sounded and the door was successfully opened.

Right that moment, he wiped off every teardrop that fell from her eyes. She looked scared that her dreams was about Sebastian– being killed by an evil witch.

Gently, he caressed her hair, smelling, savoring the scent of it that filled inside the room.

"Sleep well, Halora. Stop worrying about me in your dreams." He murmured, gulped repeatedly when his gaze stuck on her crimson, thin lips.

Sebastian shook his head in disagreement. He did it to divert his attention but still, Halora moved sideways and faced the young man who suddenly entered inside without her permission.

He gasped, glanced up at the white, plain ceiling for a second. "What is wrong with me? W– why I... Why I am attracted to her l– lips?"

"D– don't l– leave me, Sebastian."

Halora suddenly put her hand to his arm, stopping his from leaving. Her hands was too cold like an iceberg in the deepest and coldest part of the wild sea.

Until thousands of butterflies stayed in his stomach, making his heart thumped too fast. His breathing quickly changed as he felt and was electrified by her touch.

Surprisingly, Sebastian stayed beside her, moving his hand as he held her cold hand tightly enough to make her feel better and safe.

"I've told you that I'll be here for you, so clean your mind, take a deep breath and go back to sleep, Halora. We will go somewhere tomorrow, so you better take a rest and gain your energy back."

There was a genuine smile plastered on his face. His lips shivered as his knees became weak when she begged him to stay.

Sebastian knew that after the one week trip with them, he have to concentrate on searching for his destined mate before the enemy find their hideaway and sabotage their plans.

But before that thing happened, he will make sure that Halora will be safe even if he was not with her anymore.

Before he leave, he slowly put Halora's hand on the pillow, covered her chest with white, thick blanket.

"I like you too, Halora but, I must keep you safe from any danger– away from my enemy." And by that night, he held his breath, watching her bright, calm face.

He sighed and for the last time, Sebastian left her a good night kiss on her right cheek and forehead.
