Chapter 129 - 129: Flashback

Exactly two AM in the morning, Halora asked the man who seated next to her with a can of soda to drive her home. The surroundings was still covered with dark and for sure, she thought that Sebastian was no longer in front of her house.

She sighed, drank all the soda that was left to her third can.

"Ugh, such a peaceful place to stay ! But I feel so sleepy." she yawned, stretched her arms upward as seized the cold, howling wind that had touched and kissed on her vulnerable skin.

Halora closed her eyes for a second, as she hoped not to see him nor talk to him at the moment. She had made a decision and she will confront him tomorrow when there's a perfect timing at the campus.

"Are you sure? It seemed like you don't want to go home yet! Well, it's already 2 AM in the morning and it's not healthy at all."

"You are right." she said. "You are indeed right but, yes– I just want to lay down to my bed, sleep peacefully until I wake up from this nightmare."

The young man who felt comfortable with her, shook his head as he looked instantly into her brown, round eyes. He wasn't sure what it was, but his heart skipped a bit the moment he caught her cold gaze.

He said, "I hope this all just a dream."

He jumped to the ground effortlessly while Halora stared at somewhere distant. She blinked her eyes, wiped the tears that suddenly ran down to her cheeks.

"Shall we? It's getting colder here."

"Oh sorry! I didn't notice that you already cleaned up our mess!"

"Don't mind it, just get into the car and wear my jacket to keep you warm." he told her as he put the empty cans to the garbage bag and put it into the turnk of the moment.

His car was completely jaw dropping as it was well organized, dust free and everything inside was set up perfectly.

Halora waved her hands as she declined his offer but the moment she entered into the car, her entire body became vulnerable.

"Ahh!" she exclaimed, held her knees as she eagerly reached for the stranger's jacket an the driver's seat. "I don't understand why it turned out to be like this during dawn." she scowled until he get into the car silently.

He quickly locked the door, closed the window and increased the hot temperature to warm themselves along the way. Fortunately, he used his new, trending car at the present.

However, he was about to start the engine when he noticed that Halora forgot to fasten the seat belt. She leaned her head near at the window, she looked exhausted and there was no doubt that she was sleepy.

He sighed deeply, turned around at the moment as he quickly fastened it o behalf of him. Fortunately, she didn't feel anything alarming that made him sough heavily.

"Huh, it's the very first time that we've met. But why does my heart beat this too fast and strange?"

As he was confused about his feelings, he started the engine and held the steering wheel tightly. He was once an irresponsible driver who had never cared about other vehicles.

He could barely fly to the air as if he was a pilot on board. "And I am even driving this slow speed?" he murmured as he was surprised of the sudden changes of himself.

A lot of stupid questions kept up on his head while he drove the car in a normal speed. He surprisingly became a good driver who cared about his passenger and usually sent her to somewhere safely.

But, along the way, he secretly looked at her face with awe in his emerald eyes. He never met a nerd type girl with a strong, strange presence that could attract men.

He shook his head in astonishment, took out his phone from his pocket and called someone.

He had never been interested to a particular girl as girls strip their clothes in front of him, surrendered themselves that took away their dignity. They would praise him, love him to death but no one had ever changed him.

"Can you investigate a girl named Halora?" he murmured. "She's a little bit small girl, brown, round eyes and with a long, ginger-red hair."

"I will contact you when I have all necessary information, Markus." spoke the man on the other line.

Markus slightly tilted his head as he ended up the call and put the cellular phone to the dashboard. He smiled, stared straight to the road when excitement plastered on his face.

"There's something special about you, Halora. I don't what it is, but I just felt that you're the one that I was looking for!" he thought.

Until Halora was awakened by a loud, disturbing voice that came from nowhere. She was sweating profusely the moment she opened widely her eyes.

She gasped, looked at the window when she realized that everything around seemed to be familiar with her. Her brow furrowed, her pulse had stopped pounding when she felt frightened of the thought that he knew where she was living.

"You said that you live in this street. I hope I brought you to the exact place." he said.

But Halora decided him to stop as she was afraid that she might be seen with another man with other people that lived nearby the area.

Right then on, both of them went out from the car and stood where the headlights reflected through. Halora was facing the car while he faced the opposite side as he knew that there was a white, sport car parked in front of Halora's house.

He smirked, chuckled mischievously when he recognized one of them from a distance. He knew his name but he ignored it for a moment.

As he was too quiet, Halora gulped as she said, "I... I appreciated your sincerity and kindness but... but I have to go by now."

However, when he was about to speak, a cold, husky voice echoed around the peaceful street that caught their attention and left Halora speechless.
