Chapter 130 - 130: His Strongest Rival

Halora was left startled when she anticipated that both of them knew each other for so long. She stood behind Sebastian as she chased her breath and felt weak out of the blue.

She could feel the anger that flowed into his veins, but there was one thing that kept him calm and gentle.

The moment she heard his cold voice, her knees turned weak, her heart surrendered effortlessly as she knew, he was all her need, no more, no less.

But because of the painful words she heard from his mouth, she needed peace and respite. She needed to rebuild herself after all the chaos and troubles she went through.

"You can leave now, Markus! On the right time, I will pay you back for driving her home."

Sebastian looked at him coldly as he slowly loosened up the grip on her wrist. He wanted to run away from him but Markus chuckled mischievously that urged him and closed his fists secretly.

He smirked, breathed heavily and he said, "Thanks, but no thanks. Next time, treat and protect your girlfriend like an expensive, rare kind of a diamond. Because if you don't, there would be another miner that will be interested of getting it."

Because of his sassy behavior, Sebastian was provoked by those silly old sayings. He has a short temper and he never liked someone who's sarcastic.

He quickly grabbed his collar, gritted his teeth when he had lost control.

"Back off, Markus! Leave Halora alone and mind your own business!" he angrily told him.

Sebastian wanted to punch his face but Roy suddenly held his arm, trying to stop him from making a scene but he was too hard headed.

"It's not my fault that we have the same taste when it comes to women! But don't worry, I won't harass your girlfriend. I will just wait until she run away from you again like what she did earlier."

"Fuck you, asshole! Don't dare to be my rival again because this time around, I won't be easy on you."

Courageously, Sebastian pushed him back that made him stumble and giggled like an idiot. He looked calm, undisturbed but deep inside, he wanted to fight with the young alpha who had once defeated him.

Markus fixed his shirt as he looked at Sebastian's bluish, mysterious eyes. He gasped, put his hands on his pocket when he got something intriguing.

He scoffed, looked at Halora who was afraid of the possible things to happen. There was a genuine smile on his face, took steps closer to her when he said, "Can I have your number?"

Halora widened her mouth, blinked her eyes as it surprised her to death. She gaped, looked away from Sebastian's deadly stare and afraid to utter a single word.

"E– excuse me? But I guess you don't have to ask for Halora's number! And for sure, you will not see each other again." Roy meddled in between as the main goal was to stop Sebastian from bursting out.

However, Markus tilted his head, closed his fists when he suddenly punched Roy on the face. It was a strong, sudden strike that caught off Roy's guard as he fell into the ground, bleeding.

"Roy!" Halora screamed, bent her knees and checked his wounded lips. "C– can you stand and still walk?"

"D– don't mind me, Halora. I... I am fine but I became suddenly sick when we saw you with that hot, trouble maker stranger!"

"Watch your mouth, asshole! You don't know who I am and for your information, I am not a trouble maker!"

Everything turned out to be violent and turbulent. Halora felt guilty of the result of her actions that even hurt someone else because of her.

She was too confused, afraid to decide as she felt both fear and guilt at the moment.

Halora lifted her head, glanced up to Sebastian who tried to be calm and silent. She was about to say something, tell him the truth, when he turned around on her, helped Roy to stand and walked away that easily.

At that moment, Markus thought that he won over his greatest rival since birth. He was a werewolf too but his father was not a pure blood, and he has no idea about the truth and it was the biggest secret of his family.

"I– I'm sorry, but I have to follow him right now!" Halora told Markus with guilt on her face. She couldn't either look into his eyes because of what happened between him and Sebastian.

"I never thought that you are my rival's girlfriend. I want to know you better, but I guess, I'm too late to pursue you now."

Roy suddenly hissed when he heard such a player trick. He then hurriedly held Halora's arm and convinced her to chase Sebastian before simple things became worst.

She bowed, apologized for Roy and Sebastian's behavior towards him. "T– thank you, not just for being my companion but because of your good intentions, but S– Sebastian is right! Y– you should go home and take some rest too."

"Your wish is my command. But don't forget that I will be here, waiting until you left that jerk! Do you understand?"

Markus held her hands but Roy quickly hit his hand that urged him to pull back and sighed.

Roy looked at him, "In your dreams."

"Stop it, Roy! Just stay behind and let him leave peacefully."

"It was a beautiful dream, Halora. And I am serious, I will do everything to have you in my life." Markus said without a blink of an eye.

He knew it was an abrupt feeling but all of the words he said was all true. His heart dictated his entire system and now that he met Sebastian after how many years, he has one of the strongest card against him.

Yet, there was no word that came out from Halora's mouth. Instead, she turned around on him and quickly ran to the man who went to the car.

"Sebastian!"

"Sebastian!"

He heard her sweet voice echoed around the street but he gasped, looked away from Roy's disturbing stare and drove away from the place with a sweet smile on his lips.
